Ann Hazelwood was the owner of a quilt shop for 30 years. She has always adored quilting and is a certified quilt appraiser. In addition to her cozy quilt fiction, she has written travel guides and quilting non-fiction.

Slightly better than the first book. I’m kind of hooked on the characters even though I’m not crazy about the writing. However, since this book did not end with a cliffhanger, I think I’ll stop reading the series. The upcoming books in the series don’t interest me enough to invest the time.

I’ve only read a few pages but it was enough to remind me how much I disliked the first book and the way it ended. It wasn’t really a cliff hangar, it was more like part of the book had been torn off to be used for the next book. I’m going to stop reading books by this author (even though I love Door County and quilts) and spend my time reading something that’s better written and doesn’t leave me angry.

Fun, Easy, Clean Read

Claire has a surprise visit from the man she left behind in Missouri. Dr Austen doesn't understand "no, go home". When he finally does Claire gets served by his attorney. On a happier note, Claire notices how quilts are not thought of as an art in Door County. After brain storming with Cher (her best friend has moved back to Door County) they've come up with having quilts hung up by any business on the main street. People can walk or drive down the street to see all the beautiful quilts. Everyone enjoyed it cans were asking about next year. This is a new adventure about old friends so it's best if you start with Book 1. No spoilers regarding Claire and Greyson you have to read about it. Great job. Thank you. Haven't been to Door County for +/- 30 years and this makes me want to go back. On to #3!

This was a quick and easy read (it also helped that I have Covid so reading, quilting, and resting is all I'm doing right now LOL) Although I still find the actual writing, much like book #1, very amateurish, and I found several mistakes with wrong character names in places, I still was interested in the book and enjoyed the story. Mainly I wanted to see what would happen with the outdoor quilt show, Greta, and the ridiculous Austen (and now we have the cliffhanger with him, so onto book #3.) I do wish the love story between Claire & Grayson would be developed more, but at least it's still there. Although not the best books I've ever read, I will certainly continue reading the series. When I become attached to characters it's hard to stop reading about them LOL

For folks who have visited Fish Creek, WI & Door County, AND love quilts and painting. I've done these things, and I'm enjoying this series, this being book #2. It's an easy, relaxing read and I enjoy the characters.

I enjoyed this - book 2 in the series, and look forward to the next book in the series. The main focus of this book was planning and putting on an outdoor quilt show in Door County, which had never been done before. As in book 1, this story included information about restaurants, food, shops, and the what makes Door County such a special place. Old friendships and new, and the challenges of the exclusive quilt club Claire joined when she moved to Fish Creek, Wisconsin from Missouri evolved, and the budding romance between Claire, our main character, and the handsome Grayson was ever present.

I was happy to read this second book in a new series about quilts in Door County, WI. I loved the setting and the characters. I don't quilt but love to read about quilts, quilters, and the rich fabric they use. Claire is has a new endeavor she's working on which causes some controversy. A new romances is promising, but will it be shipwrecked by other factors? This can be read as a stand alone; however reading the first book is recommended to give readers more context. Thanks to the publisher and Edelweiss for the early read.

This book picked right up where the first one left off. You must read the first one in the series. There is a third book in this series. I enjoyed it. Like the first one, it reminds me of a Hallmark movie... not a lot of drama, but makes you feel good. I like the characters in the story. Being an avid quilter, I am enjoying the series. The chapters are very short..3 or 4 pages long, which makes it easy to keep reading, since I would tell myself "I will just read this next chapter..." then keep doing that!

I love quilts and this story was great!

I love the way the author, Ann Hazelwood, describes everything from the log cabin, the resturants, the people, the romance and the setting of Door County. I had a great time reading Book 1 and 2. Since I also quilt, it was amazing to read about the different ways the ladies quilted. I loved the Door to Door Quilt Event the ladies planned and put together with the volunteers. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books and look forward to reading more from this author.

A quick read but a few plot lines that were boring as hell. Austen, her ex doctor boyfriend could have been a better storyline but ends with him getting into a serious car accident so it fizzled out. Her Door County on again/off again date cannot make up his mind whether he likes her or not. The female storylines were fine. Question though. Who in hell would stay in that quilt club? Greta has such a terror reign over the club that they really don’t do anything. Everyone is afraid of her.

This is the second book in this series but it can be read as a stand alone.
I like cozy mystery featuring quilters and this was quite good.
I like the relatable and fleshed characters, the setting and the mystery kept me guessing.
Recommended.

Better written than the first book of this series and covers an outdoor quilt exhibit and the challenges of doing one along with personal tribulations of Cher and her ex boyfriend and new love, also conflicts in quilt groups which was probably the best part of the book along with descriptions of lovely Door County.

Ann Hazelwood's Quilters of the Door series is a bit like a soap opera. By book three, I am getting more interested in the events that happen although I am still missing a greater sense of depth. The settings are like backdrops and not integrated locations with complicated atmospheres. Same holds for many of the minor characters. They are just names without much depth.

Personally, I love a book that involves women’s groups and quilting. This series is set in the Midwest and follows one woman’s story of personal,growth relationships and creativity with the art of quilting. A fun beach read.

This was better than book #1 but still not a book that I’d recommend. Writing needs improvement. I won’t be reading the next book in the series.
