A vacation fling with a sexy stranger… and my brother’s best friend.
Callahan
My twin brother wants me out of the house bad enough to resort to blackmail, so I have no choice but to ride along to the beach for an old friend's wedding. Talk about getting out of a girl's comfort zone.
And worse, his best friend West is coming with us. We haven’t seen each other in years, but it turns out my high school crush hasn’t gotten any less hot. Quite the opposite.
When we meet a sexy stranger during the bachelor party, I find myself stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Two very hard places.
I thought Raleigh and West were straight, but the way they've been eyeing each other makes me wonder... Either way, my brother will freak if he finds out.
Steam is a full-length standalone bisexual menage romance including MF, MM, MFM, and MMF lovin’. No cheating, no cliffhangers — nothing but the naughty good stuff! You'll recognize some characters from book one, so you might want to read Sizzle, too, but all books in the series can be enjoyed on their own.
Wow, first time author for me and I am not disappointed. This book just sizzles. So much emotion, so much angst. I seriously could not put it down. Well written
Callaham, Raleigh and West definitely create a little steam in this sizzling book. Their attraction was strong and their chemistry explosive. The characters were likable and well developed. Entertaining story line with lots of sizzle and sass. This is part of the Sizzle series but can be read as a standalone, If you read the other books you will recognize some of the characters. If you like romantic menages you'll love this book. Lots of love and plenty of sizzle. I read an arc copy via Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to review it.
West is Callahan's brothers best friend. They both go to a wedding and meet Raleigh. Their first meeting was great. Raleigh is coming to terms with his feelings but so are Callahan and West. I felt pain when Raleigh's mom and Finn came into the picture after everything. The ending was beautiful. I was so into the story that I forgot to take notes it is that good. What a great story.
Honestly? This is everything you want in a spicy ménage book.
The spicy was hot, heavy and I didn’t have to wait for it. And it was frequent.
It was also believable. One night stands at weddings happen constantly and the idea that it might develop into more is entirely reasonable.
Also I love Raleigh. I love that he was open to all sorts of things from the first moment, that he wasn’t going to fight what he was feeling and just go with it. It was, honestly, refreshing.
I do feel like there were a lot of loose ends. Namely, Finn’s relationship with his twin and Wes. I could maybe understand Wes but I’ve known enough sets of twins in my life that there’s really very little that could put them enough on the outs that they wouldn’t be speaking to each other. And a relationship they kept secret for good reasons doesn’t seem like it’s it.
This was an okay book. I felt like there wasn't much depth in the throuple's relationship. Everything moved too slowly but quickly at the same time. I also didn't feel like there was much plot.
I felt like West dictated the relationship too much and thus ruined the dynamic. It was always on his time. I also felt like Callie and Raleigh were a bit too similar with their submissive personality and didn't like that they both kind of relied on West to take the lead on their relationship.
I also didn't like that West had history with Callie's cousin, Sully. He even mentioned that he would've hooked up with Sully if he hadn't started a relationship with Callie and Raleigh. That didn't sit well with me. I also didn't like that Callie found out about it from Sully and not West. Plus, it was a bit hypocritical that he couldn't start something with Callie but could with Sully.
Raleigh, Callie, and Weston all have decisions to make. Callie has always has a crush on West but because of his friendship with her brother he never made a move. Things change when they encounter Raleigh at a friends wedding. They continue to be together even after the wedding weekend, which means keeping things a secret even to the people closest to them. What started out as something fun turns into something more. Which means that they have more to lose and give up. Some will use this relationship as a weapon and force someone to do the unthinkable.
I love this brother's best friend...and more....romance! Callahan knows she needs to deal with her issues and get out more, so when her twin brother asks her to tad along to a destination wedding she decides to go along. She soon regrets her choice when his best friend West shows up for the ride. They have had feelings for each other, but never let the other know, especially West who is keeping a huge secret. Things get heated when they meet Raleigh there and all three aren't sure what to do about it. Great story line about love, acceptance and being true to what makes you happy. I really enjoyed this. I received this ARC from Bad Boy Updates.
Callahan is still suffering from the death of her parents as a teenager; she has not been away from home in months. But her twin's best friend is back in town and is going to the wedding as her brother's 'plus one.' And West is even more handsome than he was years ago when she crushed on him in high school. So she decides to go, too. Surprise, surprise! She comes on strong to both Raleigh and West and on top of that she encourages them with each other also. A nice plot, as they handle hardships dealing with the family of each. It's a good read with plenty of sex scenes. I volunteered this review from an ARC given by Bad Bou Update.
This book was full of steam and more. Callie, Raleigh and West are quite the trio in this fun, fast, and se*y read. Callie and West have been dancing around each other for some time. But when you add Raleigh to the mix, fireworks. But as with many a romance, not everything can be easy and there is drama and some twists. This book was well paced, has interesting characters and was an overall solid read.
I received an ARC from Bad Boy Update and this is my honest review.
I had such a good time binging this entire series. This particular book is tied as my favorite with book 2. I adored the dominant West, the cautious Callahan and Raleigh and his innocence. Sometimes it felt like Raleigh in wonderland and I loved that. A couple things with the side characters felt unfinished, so I'm hoping that means more books are to come. The narrators were all so so good in this book. Perfectly cast and perfectly performed.
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ maybe I’m jaded but there were more “cut-to” scenes than I expected Trope: best friend sister, bi awakening, friends to lovers, wedding, why choose Tension: 3/5 blackmail and angst. Raleigh and Callie have an undisclosed anxiety disorder and West is angry with his family Pro: multi pov, hea, glimpses into prev books Con: plot was a little rushed and too many unexplained jumps in time.
I finished all 4.5 books in a matter is days. I loved these books. I loved you were able to show the beauty, the love the passion, between the throuples. My husband is bi so these books hit me hard. I hope one day we are able to find our third and be able to love to deeply. Thank you for showing people it's ok to find love in any form.
This one hits some harder spots than the rest of the series. This throuple has a lot more push back than the others had to go through, more internal struggle than the others. It is still spicy and cozy, but know it comes with some feels and exploration and figuring out what actually matters.
This was a well developed menage between West, Callahan and Raleigh. They have great chemistry and lots of Steam! Great work Whitley! I read an arc copy via Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to review it.
Raleigh do not know what he wants to with his life, then he meets West and Callahan. West has to move home to help with family business. Callahan don't want to leave the house. They all meet at wedding. Loved reading this story
I absolutely love this series definitely a one click for me. I'm not very good at writing reviews but I can tell you when I love a book and I love this book. If you like menage books then read this series.
I loved every minute of this story, but i would've liked it to go on for longer. I felt for the three main characters in parts of the book.i can't wait for more of the writers books, hopefully involving a threesome.
Stream was a great choice because this book was steamy. It had the right flow with betrayal and steam. Could not put it down.. The characters had issues trying to overcome them together.
This was an entertaining read. Good characters. I received a free copy of the book via Bad boy book updates. And am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Definitely steamy and sensual. If you are a fan of ménage genre, then this just may be a book for you. I received this book via Bad Boy Update and this is my honest opinion.
