Reader, dreamer and frantic scribbler. I really do believe that love conquers all... and make terrible things for my characters to survive to prove it! (insert evil laugh here)
I’m enjoying this series. Each book gives use a new couple to enjoy. Janis our lead heroine has anxiety, depression, & a voice in her head putting her down. It was hard to read but very real and relatable. Like when authors add realism to their characters. Our hero know just what to do and help Janis find herself and find love.
Lost with Her Alien Mate is the sixth book Warriors of the D'tali series.

A Wonderful Sci-Fi Romance . I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Lost with her alien mate . I really enjoyed reading this story . It's interesting and entertaining with some suspense and definitely romance . Janis is one of the human women that after being abducted was rescued by D'tali warriors wishes only to return to Earth . Her hopes are dashed when the ship cannot return . Distraught she heads into the desert searching for the priceless jewel long ago lost to the D'tali people . Janis is hoping it might be a power source for the ship . Madam has watched and patiently waited for Janis thinking she maybe his mate . He soon notices her missing he sets out to search for Janis . What a surprising adventure they embark upon . I highly recommend taking the time to read .
This series keeps getting better! Nadan is the master keeper of the animals who for some reason cannot stop watching Janis. She is withdrawn and wants to go home, so when the repaired ship crashes on it's first test run, it's all too much for her and collapses. By picking her up and his skin grazes hers, Nadan believes she is his mate. There is adventure and discovery with heat between these wonderful characters, and enjoyed naro too. Well written story line. I am voluntarily leaving my review of this ARC.
Janice's story was sad, but obviously, Janis & Nadak have their HEA. Janice was devastated to be kidnapped and torn from her life, where she thought she had finally gotten everything she wanted. Crash landing , she was terrified and pretty much suffering from PTSD. Nadak was the perfect mate for her....he is calm and patient and let her grow into who she needed to be...and to be loved the way she deserves to be loved.
It’s like she’s two people. One who’s sarcastic and belittles everything she does, the other wanting to be useful, not broken. These thoughts haunt her throughout the book. It is the hero’s love and patience with her that allows her to slowly bloom. And it is her one true passion that brings it all to life.
I enjoyed reading this book📘, it has a great storyline. The interaction and chemistry between the characters of Janis and Nadan is wonderful. This book is filled with action and adventure. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Janis is a real special case. Her past Interferes with her present life. Childhood trauma is real for her. Sometimes I did not like her character while at other times I wanted to emphasize.
Nadan is like a whisper of animal kind and the patience to go all..
Think is not the only book of the series that I've read. All are good.
I have loved this series, but this was my least favorite in the series. There was just too much going on that wasn't the romance between Janis and Nadan( lessons on mental illness and archeology). Some background is good to show character formation but it just felt like 50% of the book was homework.
At the end it says Janis was hard to tell. Boy was that right. I do not like Janis. In real life I don't tolerate overly negative people. I had to tell myself that she had bipolar depression and was having a manic episode. And even then it took me days to read this book. I had zero connection with her. Luckily I liked Nadan and the overall story.
I really like the D'tali books, and I like Janis as I'm also someone who suffers from extreme anxiety and impostor syndrome...but mostly this book was pretty silly. The romance was great it was...everything else that veered into unbelievable territory. And that's in a series where women hook up with lizard men. Not to spoil anything but it was a little Indiana Jones and a little Jurassic Park.
Janis is almost catatonic after the spaceship they worked so hard on crashed. Nadan sees Janis faint after the ship fails to launch and takes her to the medical tent. Nadan feels a mate bond but knows Janis is too traumatised and needs very compassionate handling.
This is an incredible story and is an awesome addition to this series.
Nadan and Janis are the newest fated mates. Nadan stood by Janis, when she was so miserable regarding how life has treated her. This is such a beautiful love story.
