Reading this authentic, personal book, readers feel seen, heard, and supported. The inspiration of powering through an inexplicable life event is evident on every page. Perhaps most importantly, other widows will feel understood and less alone.

Having just lost my husband, this was shared with me, so that I could see the grief and find ways of dealing with it. Although, there was not too much in common. It still helped me see how to face the reality of losing my spouse. He was a wonderful person And the loneliness does get to you and I would suggest anyone having lost a spouse to read this book
I just joined NetGalley and this is the first book that caught my attention. The cover is what I need for 2021 PopSugar Reading Challenge prompt: a book with something broken on the cover
This is the first book that made me cry this year. You can feel the author's emotions while she was writing about her beloved husband. It's the kind of book about losing a spouse that I've been looking for. It also has funny moments that offset the sad sentiments of the book. I finished it in less than an hour. (will write more later)
Sudden Widow by Bella Lyn Thompson, is an earnest and heartfelt memoir. Thompson writes with courage and authority, while conveying the gut wrenching truth of suddenly losing her husband. This book serves as guidance to those suffering the same grief and now find themselves having to do life without a partner. The parts about her children are hard, funny, and full of wisdom. I highly recommend this book.
