The side stories were better than the main story

A Green Lantern comic that doesn't feature any Green Lantern's, like most of Future State we get the main story and 2 back up stories.
First we have a John Stewarts story where he's a gun toting bad ass, that's trying to stop a race from being wiped off their home world. Aside from him barking orders at people, nothing eventful happens, he refers to his group as lanterns even though none of them have their rings or powers, just background characters to fill the numbers. A pretty unremarkable read, they didn't even bother naming the story. 2/5
Taking of sector 0123
This time we follow a powerless Jessica Cruz, who is on a space station. A few members of the Sinestro Corps come to scavenge it for parts and she decides to fight them for it, pretty decent but a bit predictable story wise. It's always nice seeing Lyssa, hopefully she stays around for the whole story as this was only the first part. 3/5
Book of Guy
I didn't realize how literal this was until I finished the story, this one follows Guy Gardner. Who I usually hate but in this I just found myself loving him. This is the only story where we get a glimpse of a Green Lantern, Guy is trying to stop a world war and does so in a pretty unique way. Being that the inhabitants of the world are essential cavemen so his brutish ways come in handy. 4/5

This issue combines three Green Lantern stories into one comic.
John Stewart's story 2 1/2 stars. I was not a fan of the art style in this. John's story didn't feel like a Green Lantern story? There wasn't any part where John picks up the Green Lantern ring and uses it. This felt more like a Star Trek story with John firing his space gun. I also couldn't follow along with the story. Was the planet being invaded by the Red Corp? I think that's what was going on. Such a let down as I think John is definitely one of the best Green Lanterns.
Jessica Cruz's story 3 1/2 stars. Jessica is doing repairs on the Green Lantern station when it's attacked by Sinestro's cronies. Jessica slowly takes them out without having access to the ring. Once she does, she picks up the Yellow lantern and is slowly getting the power of the Yellow Ring? I thought this series has the most potential for a continuation.
Guy Gardner's story 1 star. Guy just seems like a huge jerk. Basically, he invades this planet and becomes their savior. He prevents them from fighting by being their god which definitely plays into Guy's ego. Eventually, after spending 25 years on this planet, Lobo decided to join the fray. This felt more like a one-shot than an actual series. This story wasn't for me.

estória mediana, o traço é muito desproporcional, também não casou com o colorista. no final ficou um visual muito estranho!!!
pro meio da hq o traço muda completamente, mais proporcional e limpo, as cores casam. mas se vc não for insistente, capaz de desistir até chegar nesse ponto.

John Stewart story was mediocre. A little disappointing. Cruz story was better. Good enough possibly to read future stories to find out what happens to her. Gardner story was boring and unnecessary. Overall, probably won’t bother with the 2nd issue.

Very good issue! I actually enjoyed the backup stories with Jessica Cruz and Guy Gardner more then I did the main John Stewart one which was just boring and didn't have the best art.

The Jessica story was the best of the bunch. The other two stories were weak. The art was good overall.

Great book, great artwork. Two stories in this book, both great. Jessica Cruz becomes a yellow lantern. And Guy, well become an almost great leader.
