Rate this book
Being ripped from her mundane life by a swarm of police officers is not what Rae Chapin expected when she woke up this morning. Accused of a series of murders she didn’t commit, Rae doesn’t have anyone to rely on. Except him. Alec Bronson, the popular boy who broke her heart all those years ago—now a smoking hot man—is her only hope of proving her innocence and finding the person eager to kill everyone she loves.

It’s been two decades since Texas Ranger Alec Bronson last saw Rae. He shouldn’t get involved, but with one look at his childhood friend behind the steel bars and her proclamations of innocence, he’s convinced to take the case. The battle to keep his renewed feelings for the curvaceous woman hidden becomes impossible when the true killer emerges once again, targeting the only woman he’s ever loved.

Life-altering secrets are revealed as the evidence mounts, pointing toward the killer who’s determined to make Rae pay for her past. When confronted with the truth, Rae is forced to make a decision.

His life or hers.

If you love a little darkness, murder, and possessive alpha heroes with the need for control mixed into your suspense then this series is for you. Please note this book is for mature readers due to detailed sexual content, foul language, discussion of abuse, and a killer who will stop at nothing.

This is a Dark Romantic Suspense, and this is the third book in the Protection series. I have read and reviewed the other books in this series, but this book can be read as a standalone. I have to say this book pulled me in from the first chapter, and it kept me wanting to reading. I love the characters in this book. My favorite character was Alec's housekeeper. That women put him in his place so fast. The two main characters fit together so well, and they both had their secrets. There was some steamy moments in this book. I loved the good mix of romance and suspense in this book, and the side characters so make fun and made the main characters shine. I loved this book so much. I think this is my favorite book in this series so far, and Alec is my favorite character in the series. If you like Dark Romantic Suspense you should really check this series out. I won a kindle edition of this book from a Goodreads Giveaway, but this review is 100% my own feelings about this book. I have read this book several times, and I am sure I will re-read it again sometime.

Now, there is an Audiobook of this book, and I re-read it by listening to the audiobook. I really enjoyed the audiobook.

"Make no mistake"--the words vibrated in his chest with his deep, menacing tone--"you are mine, and I protect what's mine. It's you and me, sunshine, against the world."

5 stars!

This book absolutely blew me away! This was my first novel by Kennedy Mitchell, and I cannot believe it took me this long to find her novels. I don't read as much romantic suspense as I wish I could, but MINE TO GUARD is such a brilliant example of why I enjoy the genre. Kennedy was able to blend together humor, danger, amazing characters, and romance in such a seamless way that I found myself hooked from the very first page.

At the beginning of the novel, we meet Rae Chapin--a woman who lives a solitary life as death seems to claim anyone who is close to her. She has been accused of murdering her parents and her best friend among others, causing her life to slowly spiral out of control because someone is maliciously stalking her. So when she is arrested yet again for a crime she didn't commit, she turns to Alec Bronson, her former high school sweetheart and current badass Texas Ranger, for help.

Alec hasn't heard from Rae since he left Sweetcreek and Rae behind after a confrontation with his father one night. He left without an explanation, with only a short note in Rae's locker as a goodbye. Since then, he's spent his time protecting the vulnerable and trying to deny the violence he knows is in his core. When he receives a call from Rae out of the blue, all of his old feelings of love and possessiveness bubble to the surface as he prepares to fight for her life...as long as he can keep his long-buried feelings in check.

I cannot rave enough about this entire book! I was hooked into Alec and Rae's story from the very first page, and I loved following along with them as the story slowly unfolds and truths are gradually revealed. Rae was such a great and real heroine; she wasn't perfect, but I admired her bravery and selflessness so much, while our hero Alec made me swoon so damn hard. He was the epitome of a dominant, dirty-talking alpha, but it was his protectiveness over Rae that made me love him even more. I am so glad that I found Kennedy's books, and I am so stoked for tatted and pierced Charlie's story next! ♡

Tropes: second chance romance, grumpy/sunshine, brooding protective hero, lonely heroine-in-danger, forced proximity, touch her and die, childhood sweethearts, opposites-attract, hate-to-love-you, you deserve better than me, murder mystery, traumatic past, dirty talk, STEAMY🔥

My Alec, the swooniest dirty-talking Texas Ranger you'll ever meet..

Mine to Guard
is the third stand alone in the Protection series by Kennedy L Mitchell. If you are a fan of romantic suspense with strong heroines and alpha males you need to give this a read.

Rae has spent as long as she can remember isolating herself so that she can protect others. Every time she gets close to someone they end up dead. When the cops arrest her for crimes she didn't commit she reaches out to her old high school boyfriend, Texas ranger Alec Bronson, for help. He left her a note and disappeared from her life and since then she's lost everything, but she has no other choice. He vows to help clear her name but secrets, buried feelings for each other, and a psychopath with her in his sights, could tear them apart before they have a second chance.

"I don't want an out, I want you. Broken bits and all."

Rae absolutely stole the show for me in Mine to Guard. I could see us becoming besties and having a weekly takeout and wine night. I totally have a crush on her ❤ Rae was going through so much sh*t but still taking care of those who she could help, and she didn't put up with Alec's bull either. She had insecurities but who wouldn't with the life she was living and the way the people in the town treated her. I honestly didn't love Alec not that I particularly disliked him, but his was too alpha male, which I don't think I've ever said lol His hot and cold attitude killed me and I sort of strongly dislike the "I left you for your own good" spiel. How about we don't make decisions for other people. Anyways, one thing I did like about him was how much he appreciated Rae's body and made her feel beautiful after she'd been made to feel ugly / fat by pigheaded a**holes in her small hick town. Together everything between Rae and Alec was intense to say the least and the sex between them was hot damn 🔥

Mine to Guard
is a well written and perfectly paced romantic suspense with twists I didn't see coming. I look forward to the next book in the Protection series because I'm smitten with a certain tattooed hacker named Charlie !

Second chance love under the FMC finding herself in a bad situation. Her former flame, now a Texas Ranger, comes in to figure out what’s going on and keep her safe. The reason he left her back in high school still stands, so he pushes her desire to rekindle the romance away. She’s persistent.

Suspense was good.

Backstory was good.

Characters were good.

Writing was good.

My biggest complaint is the whole fat thing. I get that she’s insecure, but too much time was spent on it.

Second complaint is that his background makes perfect sense, but after we find out the extent of it, it disappears from the storyline. There’s no follow up as to if the issue is eventually solved?!? I mean there’s a HEA, but the author just leaves the big thing that kept them apart completely unaddressed. He tells us he has special tastes, but no indication WTF they are.

The climax wasn’t written well. I never could visualize what was going on in the container or how they figured out where she was.

The housekeeper and his nakedness was a tad weird - like huh? But, it had nothing to do with the story… just something I was like huh as I read.

Romantic suspense lovers with a niche of second chance love between hard law man and BBW Will like this one.

Once again KL Mitchell has created a story and characters who will keep you glued to the pages! This romantic suspense book has a unique storyline, an alpha-hero who will leave you fanning yourself, and a heroine whose sass and feisty attitude were the perfect match for her hero.

I love this world of FBI, CIA and Texas Rangers. These men are ALL growly, possessive, protective and oh so sexy, and Alec Bronson (Texas Ranger) is no different. There is nothing that could keep Alec away from his childhood friend and love; and his past along with Rae's combine for a surprising and suspenseful read with twists along the way.

This author's writing is impeccable and the story is addictive - if you're a fan of romantic suspense, then you need this book! Well done once again KL Mitchell!!

This book is the embodiment of why I adore any book this author puts out. Both the characters and plot will keep you on the edge of your seat from cover to cover, and you'll be continually kept guessing.
Both main characters have past demons, but will they be able to help each other see the truth?
Speaking of truth, prepare to duck for cover when your mind explodes from the bombshells within.
I'm shutting up now before I give anything away.
Definitely recommend.

If you love your romance with the additional thrill of action and suspense, Kennedy L. Mitchell is a must read author for you. Mine To Guard is another romantic suspense in her signature style. Complex and mindblowing story line with some amazing characters. And all the feels, passion and mystery. The combination is irresistible.

Rae Chapin thinks she is cursed. Because every single person she has loved or come close to has been murdered in some brutal way. So she keeps to herself and lives the life of lonely librarian in Sweetcreak. Untill another murder occurs and she is sent to jail. And she can only think of one person who can help her. Texan Ranger Alec Bronson. The man she loved in school and who broke her heart. Can she save herself from the man she loves while Alec is trying to save her from the shadow stalking her?

I absolutely love how fast paced and instantly engrossing this story is. The author has a special skillset when it comes to romance like this. A bit dangerous and adrenaline fuelled with loads of emotion. Alec has always thought himself to be a reckless monster. An idea put in his heart by another monster. He is so angry and confused and he feels Rae needs to stay away from his toxicity. But at the same time he needs to protect her at any cost. He is the ultimate alpha with broken pieces. You won't be able to help swooning over this controlling, possessive and dominating man. Like Rae couldn't. She is a flawed yet awe inspiring character. On one side, she is scared and worried and feels helpless. On the other side, she pushes Alec so fiercely so that he could beat his demons. She is so powerful and dedicated and determined inside. She may have asked for Alec's help but she refuses to put him in danger. One of the strongest female character Kennedy L. Mitchell has written. Their chemistry was perfect. It was an angsty second chance romance too where they have serious history of heartbreak. Right now they cannot ignore that they have magnetic attraction and soul deep feels and they have to work through them when death is chasing them. And wow...the steam and sexiness quotient was so so high!

Mine To Guard by Kennedy L. Mitchell was an explosive romance with twists and turns that will keep you guessing and engaged.

This is my 2nd book by this author and she's becoming one of my favorites. I really need to read more of her books!

Anyhow, Mine to Guard is the 3rd book in the Protection series and I absolutely loved it. Kennedy writes suspense romance like no other! I was literally hooked from the very first few pages and mind you I still consider myself in a book slump. I was nervous that I wouldn't get into it but I was proven wrong. I loved both Rae and Alec's relationship and past history. This did have a bit of a slow build-up but I think that's what kept me hooked. I do wish there was more steam to it but overall this book was great and I highly recommend you all read it!

Mine to Guard is the story of Texas Ranger Alec Bronson who will save Rae Chapin from the horrible monster that stalks her.

Trigger Warning: Serial Killer, Violence, Abuse, Kidnapping, Torture

Warning: This can be read as a standalone but it helps to know that the protagonists made their appearance felt in the previous book.

Synopsis:
Rae Chapin is in trouble with the authorities and Texas Ranger Alec Bronson is the first person she thinks of to call for help. Fresh from the long-winded consequences of the last case that Alec had to handle, the last thing he expected in his well-deserved time off was to get a call from his high school sweetheart, Rae. And what those strange and dangerous circumstances they were!

Review:
The story starts as usual with a prologue in the third person, describing in every disturbing detail the psychopath who's soon going to torture us, readers.

But this time, our couple has a history, which makes this not only a romantic thriller but a second chance history. And that they were high school sweethearts made this more special.

Kennedy L. Mitchell's stories are full of sass, and this was no different. Rae is literally a ray of sunshine with her attitude towards life. Even after all that she has had to face.

Mine to Guard is the intense and fast-paced story of this small-town girl who has a stalker hell-bent on destroying her life and killing those around her. But even in all that grimness, the strong spirit of Rae shines through.

Not once did I imagine the stalker to be who they turned out to be. In a way, it was really sad when the truth of the stalker came out. This story was full of so many surprises, and another best thing to happen was Charlie (whose story will be coming in December!)

Along with everything else, I was glad that this book had Sherry, Alec's motherly housekeeper. She's a gem of a person and I wanted her character to be more there. But yeah, the two epilogues and the way the story wound up made up for it. Especially the happy ever after described in this book, along with the previous books' characters making an appearance, was so heart-warming.

Thank you to the author for an e-ARC of the book.

“All day, every day, I’ll choose you.”

Kennedy Mitchell does it again!! Mine to Guard is a fast-paced romantic suspense novel with strong characters and a riveting storyline that kept me guessing until the end. Alec and Rae were childhood sweethearts and were planning a future together until one day, Alec just left town. Rae’s life since she last saw Alec has been a lonely nightmare and now she’s being questioned about a murder. She contacts Alec, who is now a Texas Ranger, for help. Will he be able to help her before it’s too late for both of them?

“I’ve always cared too much when it comes to you. You’re my weakness and my strength in one flawless package.”

Rae’s life has been one heartbreak after another, but in spite of that, she’s a survivor. Alec is terrified of becoming a monster so he pushed away the only thing that makes him happy—Rae. These two are kindred spirits with an off-the-charts chemistry. They are a perfect match for each other and make the other a stronger person.

“Even as kids you were the good guy, defending those who couldn’t defend themselves. That’s not the heart of a monster, that’s the soul of a hero.”

The mystery and suspense interwoven with the romance of Alec and Rae was perfectly balanced. It kept me on my toes and I honestly was surprised about who the killer ended up being. I really thought it was someone else.

“She was my sunshine during those dark years with my father, my only channel of hope and good in the world.”

Mine to Guard combines a hot and steamy imperfect couple who need to fight their demons, both literally and figuratively, for a chance at a future. It’s a wild rollercoaster ride full of mystery, suspense, heat, dark pasts, and love.

Suspenseful and hot.

4.5 stars

This is a second chance, suspenseful romance between Alec (we've met him before) and Rae.
After being high school sweethearts and making big plans for the future, Alec leaves Rae with a single note and no explanations.
When she sees herself in a huge problem, he's the only one that can help her. And even decades after their breakup, their feelings are still strong and their chemistry is undeniable.

They both had a lot of baggage and so much to overcome. Their demons are loud and their fears are oppressive, but even after all those years, their feelings are still strong enough to fight what seems to be unbeatable.

It was a really good story with a great mix of suspense and romance.
And I can't wait to read more about Charlie. He was wonderful and a great addition to the story.

I love this author, every one of her books I’ve read has been on my best book of the year list, I would read her books without reading the blurbs! This is another amazing read, I was totally captivated from the beginning and was spat out at the end. This is the third book in the series but I do feel it could be read as a stand-alone.

I read this book in one sitting, the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat right till the end, I didn’t see the twist coming. I loved the dynamic between Alec and Rae, the chemistry and heat between them was off the charts and Alec’s dirty talk! phew!! I loved the second chance romance between them, I was totally invested in them as a couple and hoped they would be able to move on from the past, Rae was a great character, one I could imagine having a glass of wine and a good chat with!! This was another fantastic read from this author, wish I could give more than 5*

I loved this book! I went in without reading the first two & had no problems with the storyline.

A second chance romantic suspense featuring a Texas Ranger, a heroine who lives her life as a recluse after traumatic events, & a killer obsessed with our heroine.

I did NOT want to put this down! Rae & Alec may have not gotten their HEA when they were younger, but everything she has went through since then will bring them back together.

When the story ended, I wanted more. Going back to read the first two and absolutely cannot wait for FBI hottie Charlies’ story!

Deadly second chance….

When I finished Alec and Rae’s story I felt like I had stepped off a wild, scary, intense thrill ride! Rae had been living under a self-imposed exile, afraid to get close to anyone. To talk to anyone, fearing even more death and devastation. Finding herself in the worst situation yet, the only one she could think to reach out to was her first and only love. Even if he had abandoned her so long ago… Alec couldn’t do anything but answer her call, despite the reasons why he’d left still haunting him. Their fight to reconcile the past was equaled only by the threat of no future at all…

Whew… That word encompasses all the feelings I had reading this drama-filled, heart in my throat, humour when I needed it, story. Alec and Rae’s chemistry sizzled so high! Surrounded by the knowledge they were being targeted to die didn’t stop them from digging into the whys of their relationship ending so long ago. Rae’s story broke my heart and Alec’s… Well, I didn’t think my heart could take any more as he struggled with all the emotions the past dragged up. Rae’s insistence on knowing the truth, the trust that shattered and rebuilt between them, the constant threat of death…

This story was romantic suspense perfection with all the feels as well as unexpected humour to gratefully break up the edginess. So darn good I want to read it again. Right now!

5 Star Review Mine To Guard (Protection #3) by Kennedy L Mitchell

Kennedy L Mitchell is a new author to me and I am surprised I have not read this author before. Mine To Guard is a great example of the romantic suspense genre.

Two of my favourite types of reads together, romance and murder mystery, what more could I ask for? I’m not sure where to start with this review as I do not want to give any spoilers away. I was drawn into the story that Ms. Mitchell wove about Texas Ranger Alec Bronson and Rae Chapin’s second chance at love.

One can only imagine how a person would feel suddenly finding themselves arrested and charged with multiple murders, yet that is the position Rae finds herself in. With no one to turn to she seeks help from the man who broke her heart when she was younger, Alec.

Despite the passage of time, Alex is convinced of Rae’s innocence and will do whatever it takes to prove it. Danger lurks at every corner and as Alec investigates the it increases.
There were so many plots twists that I was kept guessing and I needed to concentrate to ensure I didn’t loose track and to me that is the sign of a book that has drawn you right in to the storyline.

The intrigue, suspense, danger and secrets had me riveted from the first chapter until all the secrets are told and the killer revealed. The writing is strong and you cannot help but be drawn to Alec and Rae who are such determined, strong, easy to relate to characters.

Will Alec be able to save the woman he has grown to love or is he destined to fail?

Another great read and another new author.
I was concerned about picking up a book from a new author that was book 3 in the series but I needn’t have worried because I really enjoyed this romantic suspense featuring Alec Bronson and Rae Chaplin’s second chance at love. I also need to say I’m struggling to understand why I haven’t come across Kennedy L Mitchell before, well that will change as soon as time permits.
Both Rae and Alec have demons from their pasts and when Rae finds herself in trouble she turns to one man she really feels safe with even though he broke her heart.....
I think romantic suspense novels need to be read first hand so I don’t want to write a review that is full of spoilers so all you will get from me is that this is romantic suspense at its best. The characters are easy to like, the story will keep you on the edge of your seat and let’s be honest when you add in a second chance at love, this book was always going to be a winner. Looking forward to playing catch-up with authors previous works.

I have loved each of the stories in this series of books, but this might be my favorite one so far. An old flame comes to the rescue of his one an only love but still tries to keep away knowing he is not right for her. Then Rae has her own issues and secrets but the biggest one has yet to be revealed.

Alec dedicated his life to upholding the law and fighting for those who needed him. Just coming off a HUGE case he was supposed to be taking a break but then the past comes back and he jumps right back to work. No matter what he should be doing he knows when Rae calls and needs his help, he can't deny her.

These 2 are perfect for each other and I loved every minute of reading this one. It was such an easy read that I finished it within a day. I can't wait for the next one and to see what Kennedy Mitchell has in store for Charlie. He sounds feisty and I love that!!!

"Mine to Guard is the third book in Kennedy L Mitchell’s Protection series. I didn’t read the first 2 books, but after reading this I will be doing a bit of backtracking.

Alec and Rae have a history that neither forgot. When Rae finds herself in trouble, she calls the only person she has left.

This book has it all. Danger, suspense, intrigue, and lots of action. I did find Rae to be a little whiny at times, but given her history..I chose to ignore it. 4⭐️"

“Make no mistake”—the words vibrated in his chest with his deep, menacing tone—“you are mine, and I protect what’s mine. It’s you and me, sunshine, against the world.” His voice deepened as his gaze slipped to my parted lips. “You’ve always been mine.”

Mine to Guard is the third book in the Protection Series, and focuses on Texas Ranger Alec Bronson and shy librarian Rae Chapin. Alec and Rae have a history, but he left her after high school, thinking that she would be safer from him. However, this all changes when Rae is terrorized, and the people she loved most (besides Alec) is taken from her. Almost twenty years later, she reaches out to him again when danger comes back into her life.

I just really loved these two characters. They’re both so lonely and hurt, and they distanced themselves from the other thinking that it would protect the one they love. What they really needed to do was be with each other, because Alec protects and cares for Rae, and she brings the sunshine in his life. Rae is such a kindhearted character, and though life continually brings her challenges she never gives up hope. She suffers from insecurities about her body and her worth, when she’s beautiful both inside and out. She helps people when she can, she tries to protect them from danger, going so far as isolating herself and not really living life. Alec hasn’t forgotten the girl he loved in high school and when she calls, he drops everything to help her. He’s protective and sees the best on Rae, and even though he wants to be with her, his past continually haunts him. He seems himself as a monster, not the hero that Rae and the world sees in him. Both Rae and Alec let other people’s opinions about them affects their psyche and their actions, but the opportunity to come together again when they’re older shows them that time and distance hasn’t tempered their passion or the good they see in each other. This was a mystery, psychological thriller, and a romance wrapped on one exciting package, and I totally enjoyed Rae and Alec’s journey.

“Forever beautifully and thoroughly tainted by his hands, words, and passion.”

There is something about the way that Kennedy L. Mitchell writes that I have never gotten from another author. She has this effortless way of creating a world that you want to visit. There is romance which is steamy and amazing, but she has this overall story that really is what draws you into these books. Rae has been dealt a crap hand in life. She and Alec were high school sweethearts. he left her and it seemed like it was the catalyst to the downward spiral of her life. There were moments that I wanted to cry for Rae. The amount of choas that has rained down on her life was heartbreaking, but she still continued to life...maybe not a good life...but she lived and make choices that allowed others to live as well.

Alec made choices for himself and Rae when they were younger, that honestly, had he spoken to her and given her his truths, I think that things would have been different for him. He has lived this life thinking and believing something that is irrevocably untrue. There were moments in his life that also forever changed him and his way of thinking. These moments took him on a course to do good. These two characters have such an intense connection that you can feel them bleed off the page. There were moments that I didn't know if Alec could pull it around because of his thinking about certain things that happened. But he did.

In this book, you get the thriller that Mitchell has given us 10 fold in this series, but then you get that romance aspect that you want and crave. We get snippets of Channing and Ellie in the epilogue and I loved that we got to visit them again. If you have no read this series, you need to today!

Having met Alec in the previous book in this series, I knew he was going to capture our hearts. Having read the previous two books in this series, I wasn’t prepared. I wasn't prepared for the connection that Alec and Rae have, the suspense, and the way their story unfolded. While Kennedy Mitchell is a new to me author, I know that I will be reading all of her books because she is just that good.

Alec and Rae have a history, and have been separated for decades. But the connection the shared was one that is hard to ignore or get over. Those decades apart have been hard on them. Especially Rae. She is left with no one else to turn to for help than Alec. Alec left for self preservation and never looked back. He found success in the Texas Rangers but otherwise is lonely. Someone is after Rae and she doesn’t know who or why. She calls Alec to help her. As he and a colleague dig into what is happening the story unfolds in pieces, and you will not want to stop until the end. I promise. Kennedy weaves in roadblocks and gives us just enough information to keep us on the edge of our seats!

While I usually like my romances a little more steamy I will say that I didn’t miss it with this book. But when it was steamy it was hot and the connection the two have is awesome. The writing was so good, and the story never felt stale or slow. The characters are well defined and together they are just better. I REALLY enjoyed this book and this series. I would highly recommend it to anyone that loves romantic suspense. I adored this second chance romance!

Original review

This book was provided by the author through Wildfire Marketing Solutions in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Kennedy L. Mitchell and Wildfire Marketing Solutions!

Mine to Guard is the third book in the Protection series and tells the story of Rae and Alec! Although this is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.

I really loved the first two books in the Protection series, so I was really excited to start reading my ARC of Mine to Guard. When I started reading Rae and Alec’s story, I was so angry at the beginning. I really hate men who criticise women’s bodies. Rae is so beautiful and she needs to be treated like a goddess!!! But besides that, I loved Rae and Alec’s story and I really enjoyed reading Mine to Guard!

Rae’s story was so interesting and I just had to know who did all those murders. I liked Rae’s personality and I’m so happy that she ‘found’ Alec again. I also really liked getting to know Alec, he’s so perfect for Rae. I’m a sucker for second chance Romance reads so it was no surprise that I really liked reading Rae and Alec’s love story.

Mine to Guard was such a good Romantic Suspense book and I really loved getting to know Rae and Alec! I was also really surprised with the ending of the book. Kennedy L. Mitchell did yet again an amazing job with this book. The Protection series is such a good Romance series and I highly recommend it! I’m so excited for Kennedy L. Mitchell’s next book!

Kennedy brings you an incredibly suspenseful story with a mix of steam and chemistry that leaves you questioning which is better the suspense in trying to capture the murderer or the chemistry between Alec & Rae.

Hopefully, you remember Alec from Mine to Save - Chandler & Ellie’s story!

Alec is finally settled at home seeking the break he needs from an intense case he has just completed until a phone call comes in with an unexpected voice, pleading for help. He drops everything to discover his only love is in trouble.

Rae is once again in a bind with local law enforcement convicting her of a crime she has nothing to do with but somehow is linked to. Tiring of all her loved ones being murdered she has no choice but to seek help from the one person she can trust.

Second chance romance, this suspenseful thrill ride is incredible. Kennedy once again has you by the edge of your seat trying to decipher who the killer is and the turmoil of love between the hero and the heroine. Just exceptional!

Kennedy Mitchell slays me. Book 3 in the protection series is everything I never knew I wanted. It is my episode of Criminal Monda packaged up in a hot af cover and loveable characters. Alec and Rae’s story was nothing short of amazing. The chemistry between the two is off the charts and the suspense is epic! All the stars for this romantic suspense!!
