"Alright Big Fella, your will WILL not be done! You hear me?" - Kimberly Mooney
No, Mooney does not have a psychology degree nor a PhD, but she has earned a doctorate in complete shitstorms. If you are looking for something, anything to get through 'it' and you just need to hear sh*t from someone who knows what 'it' really is like, I just might be your girl. Hello, my name is Kimberly Mooney, nice to meet you. I will dive deep into surviving shitshows such
♥ IT IS A NEW YEAR ♥ TIME TO REGAIN CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE ♥ YOU GOT THIS You are not ready to quit! How do I know this? Because you've just read this far. Maybe all you need is a little direction. Believe it or not, you can be emotional and wise at the same time. All you need is awareness of choice and courage to make a small change. This is not your typical memoir/self-help book. It is a musical. It is my life song. It is a meditation. It is hope. It is something to hang on to when all else has failed. You will get to learn as much about yourself as you do about me. The Recital encourages you to reflect, be honest, and rise up a stronger, better version of you. It is not supported by degrees, studies, or psycho-babble. It is solely supported by the heartwrenching hard work I did to dig myself out of my own personal shithole. ♥ YOU CAN'T CHANGE YESTERDAY BUT YOU CAN CERTAINLY CHANGE TODAY. Kimberly writes "Don't make life harder than it is. We all have seasons. Imagine you are living your winter right now and you just don't know it. Do you want to live your last season being angry, bitter, and resentful about last week, last month, last year? Or do you want to live your last season lighthearted, carefree and full of gratitude enjoying your life?" ♥ CHERISH TODAY
The courage to share your journal is admirable. The transparency of the story on our local Island is another act of bravery. The sharing of life lessons that were learned the hard way build bridges towards hope that we all need to hear on our toughest of days.
The Recital was amazing, personal, truthful and emotional. Without giving out too much information on the book itself, for those who haven’t read it yet, I will start with this. The Recital tells Kim’s story. If you know or see this woman with the beautiful smile, sparkle in her eye, and so much love and kindness in her heart - you naturally think of perfection - and to me she is. But life is not always what it seems. As the old saying goes “The grass is always greener on the other side”. But this isn’t necessarily true. When you read her book, you will see why. This book was amazing. I laughed, I cried, I felt her pain and her love. And I especially felt her true strength and determination. I am beyond proud of her and her book. Thank you for baring your soul through your life story. You are a true inspiration. You were lost and now you are found. 💕💕💕💕
This book grabbed me right from the start and wouldn't let go! I was amazed at the courage it took to share this personal story with the world. It was also incredibly entertaining and obvious the author has a fun sense of humor. While there were many difficulties to overcome throughout the years she described, her love for her boys and Larry shone through it all. Life is tough - it's tough for all of us and sometimes reading that others struggle too is comforting. Thanks for the laughs and for helping me put things into perspective. I also bought a copy of this book for my best friend. Highly recommend!
Add this book to your book club list, it is a must read! Life lived, lessons learned, love lost and gained, this book has it all. The take aways make this a book any reader can use in their own life. Loved it.
