Wow. When this book started, I had a picture in my mind of where I thought this story was going to go, but I wasn’t even close. The low-key paranormal aspects of the last book get even lower key in this one. Though the mystery is just as tense and suspenseful. Both Whit and Anna reveal even more complexities in their lives making it difficult for me to decide if I’m more afraid or excited to dig deeper into their family dramas. I’m left feeling a little frustrated over the slightly abrupt ending of where this book stops. I need to know more!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "MIND DRIVES MATTER" WL KNIGHTLY live how you wrote this ongoing series with each story ending but next book same characters with a new case seeing how the characters grow especially Anna I love her with Whit as they continue I hope their relationship does also.
The College asks Prof. Whit Filmore to look into girls being drugged & raped from campus he gets his assistant Anna to help out dealing with Detective Hart who's a drunk is an issue he's a real pce. of work to deal with so he gets the go ahead from Chief Roberts to work the case.
Anna is one of three girls attacked she was lucky he didn't get the chance to drug & rape her like the others but after what happened she moves in with Whit temporarily until the guy is caught.
Anna's mom Jenna finds out she's staying with Prof. Whit arrives at his place goes off on them both saying she'll have his licence he talks Anna into going & making piece with her but she accidently overhears Jenna's conversation with Dylan Michael's who she sent to scare Anna into moving home confronting them both Jenna is shocked she overheard their conversation.
I definitely recommend to get this riviting, interesting, who done it the story flows perfectly you can't put down until finished.
I love that feelings are growing between Anna & Whit I so look forward to next book hope their relationship goes to next level he's been put on suspension temporarily because of Jenna making her complaint to the Dean of the College. AWESOME READ YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS!!!!!

Wow an amazing read yet again. I'm loving this series.
In this book, young girls are being kidnapped, raped and left naked to be found by someone.
Anna gets attacked by someone on her doorstep. Prof Whitmore and Anna believe it might have been by the same person who is abducting these young girls.
The professor is hired by the Dean of the university to investigate and find the culprit.
I loved this book. You get a glimpse into their relationship and the question that comes to mind after reading this book is that does the Professor and Anna have feelings for each other? I can't wait to find out whether this question gets answered in the next book or not.
There are many things I like about this series specifically and those are that the crimes gets solved in one book. You don't have to wait for a long time to solve the crime and another thing is the developing relation between Prof Whitmore and Anna. It will be interesting to see how the situation they find themselves in gets tackled and whether they ever admit their unspoken feelings for each other.
Thank you to the author for a fabulous series and for keeping us entertained with your fabulous stories.
I received an ARC from the author. I voluntarily reviewed the book. This is my honest review.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

Not that Professor Whit Filmore has returned home from his last case with his assistant, Anna Upton, he hope things will go back to normal. But with a serial rapist putting students and their parents on edge, Dean Proctor hires him as a private investigator. With Anna's help, Whit embarks on an investigation hoping to catch the culprit. Can he find the rapist before he strikes again? Or will the cost of their involvement be more than he can afford to lose.

I liked this book better than I did the first one. Now the Professor and his assistant have been hired to be private investigators when their is a serial rapist on the lose and the parents and students are on edge and everyone wants them caught. Anna though gets attacked on her doorstep and she and the Professor believe it might just be the same person who is abducting the girls from the school. You get a little glimpse of a love story in this one that might or might not be between the Professor and Anna. But this one does keep you guessing and on your toes. If you think you have figured out which way this book is going to go then you will be wrong every time.

This series by WL Knightly is different from the other series they’ve written. Although it’s a series and the books follow on from each other, the crimes are resolved by the final page. That being said we are left with a glimpse of what’s to come. It’s satisfying, but intriguing at the same time. I have a feeling that a few crumbs and clues are being left which will lead to the uncovering of an even larger crime. Or maybe I’m way off track, just hoping for that. I love the plots, twists, characters and the genuine feel of the story.

Back on campus and there are a lot of murmurs about girls being kidnapped, drugged and raped. Students are vigilant and staying is groups for protection. The Dean wants Whit’s help, but the local detective “Hart” feels threatened by his presence and doesn’t make it easy. Anna’s mother is trying to control her daughters life, does she have an ulterior motive? Professor Whit Filmore and his assistant Anna work hard to bring this criminal to justice. They make a great team but there is some underlying attraction and tension between them, but so far they’ve managed to keep their relationship purely professional.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Unconventional Truth series. In this book, Professor Whit Filmore and his assistant Anna have returned from Texas where they solved the missing women case and are returning to normal and resuming classes. When a female student at the college is attacked, they learn she was not the first and Whit is asked to look into the case by the dean. Whit and Anna begin to investigate the case and when Anna is also targeted, Whit wants to protect her and tells her she can stay at his house until she gets better. Anna agrees because she will be able to work more on the case. i love this series. I really like Whit and think he is a great guy and really cares for Anna. Anna is very smart and i think she cares more for Whit than she wants to admit. i think they work well together and i can't wait for the next book.

Sets a thrilling pace

Whit, criminology professor and private investigator with a little something more, and Anna, his teaching assistant, have just gotten back from the case in Texas when they here about a couple of attacks. As the story progresses the crime hits close to home, keeping things under control is not as easy as once thought, and finding the connection could prove vital to solving the case. W.L. Knightly’s Mind Drives Matter sets a thrilling pace and starts to sprinkle more unconventional truths for the reader to absorb. Reader discretion advised due to dark subject matter and/or possible triggers.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Great new series. Whit and Anna have a professional relationship as professor and student. He is mentoring her in her interest in crime solving. He has worked hard to keep the relationship professional but underneath he's struggling to contain his attraction. Girls have been attacked and raped and Whit and Anna are trying to find the culprit and stop him from attacking more women. I love the two main characters. Whit is a good man and father, who feels protective of Anna. Anna is a strong willed empathetic young woman. And Anna's mother is quite a piece of work!! Each book solves the case but leaves you looking forward to more. Great series!

I completely enjoyed the mystery and crime solving involved in this series. As a second book, this was definitely another edge of your seat, riding out to figure it all out before someone else is victim kind of ride. I have to say I enjoy the storytelling and the character dynamics. The professor is a dynamic character and his assistant is the perfect compliment to every mystery. With that said, I'm keeping my fingers-crossed that they don't fall into the whole angsty, partners falling for one another. I found it refreshing that they could work together without the other complications. But don't mind me, read the books and form your own opinion. You won't be disappointed.

Great series

Mind Over Matter is an intriguing second installment to the Unconventional Truth series. I love these characters. The author has given them great depth and really fleshed out their relationship. Although it really seems to be evolving into something else.
As they get back from solving the mystery in Texas, they learn that two coeds have been abducted and raped in their absence. Dean Proctor asks Whit to hire on with the college as a PI to help find the perpetrator. Sadly, Anne almost becomes the next victim, but an arriving car thwarts the attack. The search for the suspect is a race against the clock and will keep you on the edge of your seat!

This is a story of girls in college getting drugged and raped. The college has a professor that is former police enforcement and PI to search for the rapist. Anna is his assistant helping him as she’s studying to be in Criminal enforcement. As they search to find all they can Anna gets attacked but gets away before anything happens. They are sure the women are taken somewhere else and left naked elsewhere. Will they be able to solve the crimes plus it seems the professor has personal demons. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Whit and Anna are once again investigating a crime, this one happening to college students.
The story gives you a web of evidence to determine who is raping the college women. Unlike the first book Anna is more closely involved in these rapes. As these two work closely together Whit protectiveness for Anna amps up.
The relationship between Whit and Anna still is in the professor/student realm but both have other thoughts/feelings.
Anna's mom provides the cliff hanger this time, which is not about a crime per se.
This is an honest voluntary review.

Wow. This is a twisted bit of mystery writing! This is is really setting up a third book! Is that a spoiler? No, just a warning! :)
We meet some people we (read that as I ) really want to bump off! The ones we really want to cheer for are really worth cheering! The way everyone works together and apart is awesome! I really don't want to say too much because I don't want to spoil it.
You must read this one! it is beautifully written and just so hard to put down. And when you do put it down , you really want to pick up the next! Love it!

A thriller that I read in one sitting. Girls going to a college are getting drugged and raped. The college hires one of their professors, Whit Filmore to investigate. Whit was in law enforcement and a PI. He works with his assistant, Anna, who is a student in training. Anna gets attacked, but is able to escape before being drugged and taken. Whit works with the police, but the detective has issues, including alcohol. There is an exciting and thrilling ending.

I’m loving this new series. This is book 2 and Whit is once again in the thick of things but this time it’s local and on campus. When woman are getting attacked near campus, the dean asks him to help solve the case. When Anna gets attacked it makes this case that much more important to him. They work well together but there is one person who doesn’t like how close they are and that’s her mom. She is going to cause lots of problems for Whit in the coming book that’s for sure. Cannot wait.

This is an excellent suspenseful storyline with drama, developed main characters, and intrigue. The two main characters have underlying chemistry but are keeping their relationship professional so far. The criminology professor/PI and his student are hired by the University to solve the rapes and bring the criminal to justice. There is plenty of suspense, intrigue, and twists. Great read! I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

Whit and Anna... more than meets the eye? Anna is victimized, works with Whit to get the attacker, the struggles and interpersonal relationships seem so real. You feel like a true part of the book. Always suspenseful, hard to set down. Do I recommend this book??? Does Whit love his Falcon??? Definitely!!!

A serial rapist is drugging girls and leaving them naked for someone to find. The girls cannot remember anything afterwards. They are all students but are not attacked on campus. Not only are Anna and Whit trying to find this guy but they are dealing with accusations from her mother. Another well written, edge of your seat thriller that will keep you guessing.

Another great book in this new series. This is a different crime that Whit and Anna take on to solve. This also goes deeper into the characters and backgrounds and surrounding people. Great to start to know more of the characters and you instantly start to hate people. Looking forwards to the next crime/book

Very good investigation
This is a very good continuation of the adventures of Professor Whit and his young assistant Anna. This time, they are investigating kidnappings and rapes of young girls on campus. The story is full of twists and turns, complex and it continues to develop in parallel the personal lives of the two main characters through a good unpredictable investigation.

MIND DRIVES MATTER BOOK TWO BY WL KNIGHTLY
UNCONVENTIONAL TRUTH SERIES BOOK TWO
TO SOLVE THE CASE HE HAS TO BE MORE THAN JUST A DETECTIVE

Professor Whit Filmore and Anna, his teaching assistant are on the College rapist case. This case now has a personal component that must be solved. More hangs in the balance of the outcome of the case than just catching the bad guy…
