I am so excited to be able to read and follow the tv series !! Just like the cover says, the book is the tv show in comic form. It has the same illustrations, follows the plot, and has the same dialogue. It’s not new but it’s exactly what I have been wanting.
I compared this book to the Cine-Manga series published in 2006 with Brian Konietzko. Sometimes called “The legend of Ang” They are similar but not the same text/images republished, which was my big question. Both series retell the ATLA television series one episode per chapter. I have the Cine-Manga series 1-6 , but later volumes (7 -17?) are very expensive.
Enjoyed the book. This was my first read of a graphic novel in decades and I picked it up for the story. Was not disappointed. A quick read with interesting, telling illustration. A great reintroduction to the genre.
