Good Girl Gone Bad written by popular Jamaican radio and television personality, Miss Kitty; centers on a certain episode in the lives of Shelly and Kevin Fletcher, a young married couple in the midst of a climatic and life- changing crisis. Both are professionals in their own Shelly works in the managerial department of one of Jamaica’s major financial institutions, while Kevin works for Protective Services – in other words, he is a cop / bodyguard, assigned to a specific government minister. The drama unfolds when there is disappointment with the plans for an addition to their family – unfolding in the form of a miscarriage – a development that sends everything into a tailspin – but as bad as that by itself may’ve been – it gets even more complicated with Kevin getting the brunt of his wife’s wrath, because accidental or not, he did have a contributing hand in the tragedy. Shelly withdraws – becoming distant; Kevin grows cold, consumed with guilt and regret. Misunderstanding meets emotional turmoil, and soon both are doing their best to avoid each other, the best way they can – and as fate would have it, in the midst of all this, Wayne shows up. Wayne Sutherland is Shelly’s new boss. An astute and extremely attractive financial maverick… A literal athlete in a suit kind of brother, so much that wherever he goes, the ladies always seem to love him. This is a saucy romance novel written a decade ago. I kept on reading as I was intrigued by the main character's intentions! The narrative had some flashback settings, some a little confusing, and there are a few typos. The ending was totally unexpected.
