Ron Ripley is a husband and father surviving in New England, a place which seems to be getting colder every day. He grew up across from a disturbingly large cemetery where he managed to scare himself every night before going to bed. Mostly because of the red lights that people put in front of the headstones. Those things are just plain creepy to a kid.

Ron enjoys writing horror, military history and driving through the small towns of New England with his family, collecting books and giving impromptu lectures on military history to his family, who enjoy ignoring him during those dreadful times.

With each book in this Series, I think "this is it. The conclusion is near. But will Shane survive?" Each novel in this tremendously exciting and gore-laden series keeps me on tenterhooks of intrigue, suspense, and terror. But in SIN'S JUDGMENT, a new Entity is introduced, one so implacable and with its own "moral compass" and rules of conduct. Will the indefatigable Shane Ryan, ghost hunter extraordinaire, finally face defeat?

There are fascinating religious overtones here, in the setting and in the Entity's viewpoints and its life and afterlife. I found its "code of conduct" and its speechifying highly intriguing. Also the character devolution of the villain is quite remarkable as is the (unpretty) glimpse of an unfortunate side of Shane Ryan's character and past history.

18+ for gore and violence.

This book finds our hero, Shane Ryan, facing down what could be his deadliest adversary to date. A haunted seminary houses the ghost of an entity calling itself True Evil, and its actions fit with the name. Shane teams up with allies from earlier stories to face this threat. This proves to be a task that leaves everyone beaten and bloodied, including Shane.
Ron Ripley continues to prove, to me at least, that he is indeed a force to be reckoned with in the horror genre. I find myself going through withdrawal when I finish one of his books and in dire need of the next one. Sometimes he saddens me but that's a sign of great writing.
There will be at least one more book in this wonderful series and that brings me joy.

Another great adventure with Shane

Ripley definitely has not lost his touch...through all of the different story arcs that tangle together to create the amazing world of Shane, Ripley draws the reader in and keeps them hooked..and his latest book is no slouch. Victor, Tom, and Frank all come along for the ride as Shane faces off with a dead priest hungry for death. If you haven't, definitely go find the beginning series about haunted objects and buckle in for a he'll of a tale...prepare yourself to learn to love Shane along the way, too. ..it's inevitable.

A superb installment that continues this brilliant series.

I cannot stress just how well this series is composed and written.

Shane and his cohorts continue to seek out the perpetrators of the theft of haunted artifacts and are shocked when they not only find out who but also why!

It's a true roller coaster of a ride, that as usual, leaves you impatient for the next installment.

An absolute must for all Ron Ripley fans.

Alex's depravity continues, and Shane is working to continue tracking down the ghosts. But there is a new threat - a seminary, and a killer ghost that kills anyone deemed guilt of sin. Shane is determined to take this ghost down, but this one is stronger than first thought, and is going to take more than one person to stop his murderous streak.

Fabulous book. I enjoyed this one, although I hate to see Alex's deterioration, as I really liked him in the Haunted Village series.

Mind bending horror

Filled with mind bending twists that are a horror fans dream. I am always amazed at the visual clarity that Ron Ripley provides in his stories, I really feel like I'm watching a motion picture play out! The characters are certainly gripping and the story is filled with evil ghosts who torture and murder and left me wondering just who the next victim might be.

I waited patiently for this book to come out. Omg Shane never ceases to amaze me. Loved seeing frank back as well as Tom and Victor. But what Eloise did to victor kinda made me mad. And Alex is a big spoiled little deranged brat. Excellent book great read.

Stopped too soon

I can’t believe what Eloise did to Victor. I was so sure Shane was going to get rid of her. Why doesn’t Timmy grab some more ghosts and get rid Alex?

Very good

Well written and with a twisting plot, the story was an engrossing read. Both sides of the conflict are taking damage as we head to the finale.

Frightening fun

Sin's Judgment is another winning story, full of killer ghosts, and characters so real you really care about what happens to them. Both the living and the dead have their stories to tell, and not surprisingly, the living are more trouble. Here's to Shane Ryan and his intrepid band of ghost fighters. And to love. So, go read.
