My life turned on its head the day I revealed.

There would be no civilized wedding for me.
My kind is taken by an Alpha as a mate.
Rutted, knotted and bred.
Tonight's grand ball in my honor is merely a facade.
Choose, I have been told.
Tomorrow, I must choose.

Publisher's note: Ravished is a standalone fantasy portal romance short story with a sweet, sassy heroine, and a dark hero who comes to her rescue.

Ms Lane has become one of my fav Omegaverse authors and I didn't want to miss this story from the Omega Prey world. Ravished takes place in the same world as Prey and Prize, but while the other books are set in the Imperium, this story is about a different kingdom in that world, a kingdom where Alphas do not rule and the Alpha/Omega relationships are one-to-one (MF). Another difference I noticed was the frequent mention of the Goddess or Mother of All Life, religion seems to be a more ingrained element in the life of these people. I had the impression that this might be an introduction of this culture into the series, a way to bring a sense of diversity and also opposition between the different regions. Will this be the opening to new paths? It certainly creates a wealth of opportunities for new stories and it enriches the world development.

This is a short tale with all the ingredients you might expect from the Omegaverse (slick, knot, heat-rut) condensed into a juicy read, recommended as an appetizer and for readers who prefer MF over RH.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

You know what? This was a lovely surprise.
3.5 stars
I almost always “regret” starting such short stories. But this one? We get a full story, and even the character building was good despite the short number of pages.

It was also a way more gentle Omegaverse from what my limited experience with the trope and I wasn’t against it.

I would not shy away from this author another time.☺️

Read: 20/03/2021
1st rating: 3.5 stars
Genre/tropes: Omegaverse
Cover: 4 stars (look I love this dress and the color😍)
POV’s: Dual -1st person (Rosalind & Aramis)
Will I recommend: Yes- would actually go so far as to say it’s a good “soft” start to the Omegaverse trope. 👏

Tomorrow, I must choose. Tonight is mine.

Woop W00p! Again L.V. Lane delivers! This time with a 'short story' that takes place in the same universe as Prey,Prize & Taken.

This is a lovely little story, it's vastly more on the fluffy side than the rest of the series and can be read as a stand-alone. :)
A nice little introduction to Omegaverse if you are new to this trope.

I found the story easy flowing with good humour, definitely something to read if you are looking for something fast, easy and light. Or if you have had a bad day. :)

“Why?” The word is a hiss passing my lips. Her face softens as though in understanding. Yet she knows nothing of how I feel. My father, her one and only suitor, was her childhood love, and they were betrothed from the age of six. The Goddess smiled with kindness upon my mother’s life. She knew nothing of suitors then. Just as she knows nothing of suitors now.

In the part of the world and land that Rosalind & Aramis are - Omegas are very rare and Alphas are not the ruling caste. This is different from the 'Imperium' lands which are where Prey & Prize takes place.
In Rosa's land, the Alpha's only take one mate, so this book is not a RH like the previous books.

Rosa is a princess and the daughter of two Beta parents. She's the 3rd child of 5 children and the only Omega. As I understood it - the other siblings are also Beta. This makes her a bit of an outcast and her father arranges for her to marry.
In comes our beloved war hero Amaris, a full-blooded Alpha. He's a handsome man, and dominant. But as Rosa soon discovers, there's a difference between dominant and aggressive!

In true "I am strong I can handle myself" panic, Rosa runs away and Amaris follows suit.

Together they must find a way back home, without getting killed and sparks start to fly. <3

I really enjoyed this little short story, galloped it up I did hehe.

5* from me. :D

This is an adorable story. Can I say a story with Alphas and knotting and everything that comes with Omegaverse is adorable? Well, this one is.
It's also very, very naughty.
This story is probably as close to insta-love as Omegaverse gets without being completely dependent on A/O biology. There's strong chemistry (and plenty of pheromones) going on between Aramis and his little doe (did I mention the adorable-factor? they're as adorable as Aramis's nickname for his Omega), but Rosalind has a choice of Alphas. At least, she does until she makes a fateful decision and flees through a portal with no clear destination.
I really loved the world building in this story. The sense of a chaotic force hovering on the edge of a well-ordered world. That sense of dissolution, of thin threads of love and trust holding back the vortex, gives such a lovely fairy tale feel to this story, as with all the Prey series (of which this story is a loose part, but it can definitely be read as a stand alone). This author definitely has a gift for mixing the somewhat brutal elements of Omegaverse with this timeless, ethereal fairy tale world and creating something that just a pleasure to read.
Highly recommended.

Rosa and Aramis - *swoon*

“I love you, you foolish, willful, Goddess-blessed little doe. I would plunge after you into hell to keep you safe and spend eternity battling the minions there.” He releases my hands, stilling deep inside me as he brings them to his chest. “Feel here. Feel how it beats for you.”

"It’s my firm belief that when a woman says nothing troubles them, something most assuredly does."

“No other man or Alpha will touch you once you bear my mark,” he growls against my throat."

"Aramis chuckles, his head lowering until his lips graze my ear. “Sweet Rosa, if you understood how much an Alpha enjoys spirit in his mate, you would not throw so many gauntlets at my feet.”

Need I say more? Honestly I'm super bummed this wasn't a full length novel.

A great omegaverse novella that also has the bonus of not needing to read anything else in the series to enjoy it!

Short MF romance between a Princess Omega who doesn't want to submit to any of the Alphas her parents are parading in front of her, but her heat is almost upon her and she has to make a decision soon or her father the king will do it for her.

In proper hormonal omega fashion the Princess panics and runs from the suitor's ball only to have the most Alpha of all the Alphas chase her down capture and claim her.

Short Steamy and to the point. If you want something quick and smutty I highly recommend this.

This is a generic blend of Omegaverse and fairy tale (the h disappears both at midnight and into the woods). The action begins when Omega Princess Rosa must choose among her suitors. When she flees instead, Alpha Aramis follows her and...

If you're looking for a relatively mild Omegaverse story with all the usual tropes (heat, knotting), featuring an Alpha who doesn't harm his Omega, then you may enjoy this. The erotic scenes are well-described and the prose is generally well-edited and flows (though I've never seen "basal" used in this way before).

Though I liked this story, its ideology affected my rating. First, I want to say that though I'm late to the Omegaverse party, I've now read a lot of it; therefore, I understand that it rests on power exchanges often depicted as gender essentialist and sexist. Some of this I can stomach; some of it I can't. What falls into the latter category? When an author implicitly invokes the very misogynistic (not to mention Christian) "curse of Eve" (she doesn't call it that since this is an alternate universe, but still) as something that women Omegas must endure because their sole purpose in life is to please their men Alphas:
Pain is necessary. It’s part of life. It’s integral to the dance between an Alpha and an Omega...Rosa is an Omega, sent by the Goddess herself to slake an Alpha’s lust.
3 stars. This is a novella, so there's only so much development that can take place. While it's a standalone in terms of the couple, some lines of action are left open. Based on the blurbs for the rest of the series, I don't see that they're revisited in later books.

Well, this was a tasty little snack from the Prey universe. Ravished is a short story featuring a reluctant omega princess who must select a mate or have one picked for her by her father. There's a dominant alpha and a portal. Lots of steamy action ensues culminating in a satisfying HEA. I loved Aramis. Once again, Ms. Lane created the most delicious kind of alpha. And I could certainly empathize with Rosalind's plight even though it was clear from the start that there would be no escaping her mate. Overall, this is an enjoyable fun little read that's definitely worth picking up whether you are a fan of omegaverse or just dipping your toes.

A fast but satisfying read, same formula, not so much conflict. I love fairy tale princesses frolicking through the dark woods in their lavish dresses.

The writing and editing of the ARC version of the manuscript was clean, with no typos that I found and well constructed sentences. The world building was spare but well drawn, which I consider appropriate in a short romance. The characterization was deft for the short length, with the hero and heroine both being sympathetic individuals with strengths and weaknesses. The development of the romantic relationship was quick and hot, with the heat level rating at five chili peppers. The plot and pacing were exciting and quick, with me finishing the story in one sitting. There was a medium amount of well justified angst and high stakes in this story, which tends to be one of my preferred narrative structures for a romance novel. This novel used the Mating Bond trope and the Unwilling Bride trope, along with some BDSM elements that I quite enjoyed. The world building, plot, and pacing were all four stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were also four stars. I therefore gave this novel a combined rating of four stars. This story ends on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger ending, so that was a big plus. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy fantasy or sci-fi elements in their m/f omegaverse romances. I look forward to reading the next book in this series when it releases. I plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this novel.

He's an Alpha who wants his duchy, she's an Omega Princess that can provide what he needs.
I loved this quick sexy romance where everyone gets what they want in an exciting, short period of time. After running away from her fate, Aramis is there in time to enter the portal with Rosa and she learns what it means to really be an omega to an alpha and it's hot! She is conquered and knotted and in love, thank goodness, he loves her too. 💋

Short and sweet, this lovely read based in the same world as the Prey series provides all the heat and Omegaverse trope goodness we love and have come to expect from Miss Lane. Can be read as a stand alone, but why would you when the rest of the series is so fabulous? Seriously. Read them all XD Loved it!

The cover was what made me pick up this book... 100%. The same thing happened with Prey; 'Omega verse' was new to me then. Now I had an inkling what to expect. This was a quick read; nothing spectacular, but nevertheless entertaining! 🥰

DNF at 10%.

“A female Omega is not like an ordinary Beta woman, for we crave rough treatment”.

Ew. Not okay.

Add to this quote, a first meeting where the hero calls the heroine a nickname, she says “not okay” and he says “it suits you”.

So disrespectful! I don’t have high hopes of this book and I’m out.

Loved this story. It was a short story. While I wish it was a longer story because I firmly believe you get so much more from the longer stories it was still absolutely amazing and I didn't feel like I missed out on anything.

L.V. Lane has a way of just writing amazing characters. They feel like friends that you don't ever want to leave. The characters are brilliant and compelling. You want to cheer for them and you want to kill them sometimes lol. You want to scream at them when they make stupid mistakes and you sigh in pure happiness when everything comes together as it should. This story is no different. It has all the feels!

I hope there will be more stories for me to dive into in the series. It is so good and I want more! I look forward to reading whatever book is next so very impatiently! :D

Wow! First of all - the cover - it’s beautiful. The cover compliments the first two books in the series. I’m very impressed.

The story, well, not all authors can pull off writing a short story. I’m glad to write that that is not the case here. While it is indeed short, it’s complete. I didn’t feel as if I was missing something or needed to read another book to understand what was happening in this story. A happily ever after with no cliffhanger ending.

The haughty Omega Princess and the rakish Alpha fit perfectly together. This book as well as the others has an almost regency, “old-time”, historical feel, but with an Omegaverse twist. This story is different from the others in this series as this is not an RH. There is only one Alpha for this Omega princess.

No typos or grammar issues. Definitely recommend if this type of genre is something you enjoy.

I really liked the other books in this series, Prize and Prey and I was awaiting the next book in the series. It was a nice surprise to get this little interlude with Rosalind and Aramis. It was a fun, hot, easy, sort-of-enemies-to-lovers, quick novella read and can definitely be read as a standalone but it might make you curious to read the other books.

It might help to know a bit about the omegaverse before starting this book - but then again, if you don't know much about it that's probably ok because you'd be as clueless as Rosalind :) She is attracted to him, doesn't want him, runs from him, but quickly learns the alpha, her alpha, is not easily dissuaded.

Rosalind, aka Rosa, is Omega. She has to pick a suitor, an Alpha. Aramis is taken with her. He makes sure he is the only one so that she has no other choice. An incident happens and Rosa runs. Several chase her but Aramis must catch her before she goes through the portal to a place unknown. They both end up on the other side. There was danger and Aramis takes care of it. Rosa goes into her first heat. Not the best place for it to happen. Aramis does his best, he will have and claim her as his. She has her doubts about his sincerity. Will they make it back? What are his real feelings for her? A very go short read with a very good ending.

Well, I think L.V. Lane has a little bit of a sadistic side, why? because this short story was way too short.

Storyline, Rosalind is Princess who’s dynamic is Omega and she must pick an Alpha and soon. While Rosalind fights this at every turn, guess who shows up? Aramis a very dominant Alpha who will have Rosalind whether she picks him or not. While Rosalind flees from a threading Alpha, Aramis is right on her heels as there is no escape from him, ever.

The only negative again is that this story was way too short . I could have used at least 10 more chapters, her writing style and Omegaverse story telling is that good.

I have received this as an ARC and this is my honest review.

I like reading a short book every once in a while and of course this author is one I have no problem reading anyway. So of course this was a no brainer to pick up and enjoy.

I really like how this author gave so much story in this short read. And I also really liked both MC's. The Alpha was a typical Alpha but trying to woo his Omega. While the omega was struggling with her dynamic and fighting her suitors.

But of course, with any good Omegaverse, something happens that makes the Omega realize they need to embrace their dynamic and they can truly be happy. This author is just really good at giving you a great story you don't want to put down!

Well All I can Say is Ms.Lane did it again! I absolutely love her writing! She has such a beautiful way of setting the landscape and building the characters! Yes, even in this short story! With Rosalind, a young omega who has to choose an alpha and Aramis, an alpha who needs a bride. This little tale starts off quickly with an interesting reason why she must choose soon. Miss Rosalind is not happy with her situation and leads Aramis on an amazing chase. It’s exciting, surprising and their chemistry is off the charts! Loved it. I received this book as an arc and give my honest opinion.

An Omega princess caught in a fairytale world she wants no part of, Rosa is determined to escape her fate of mating to an Alpha. An Alpha prince unwilling to let his Omega mate and inheritance slip through his fingers, Aramis will battle unearthly creatures and Rosa's stubbornness in order to take his rightful place as Alpha mate and protector. Ravished is a short, beautifully written piece that brings all the hotness, angst, and soul baring completeness that we come to expect from Liv Lane's omegaverse stories. Highly recommend!

This book was positively ravishing.

The love the game of cat and mouse these two unsuspecting lovebirds played until there was no choice but to give in to the inevitable!

Packed with hot, steamy and mouth watering spankings that promise so much more, this book does not fail when it comes to needing more!

Aramis is portrayed as brutish but once you get to know him, he turns into quite the handsome...I can’t fully commit to saying gentleman so I’ll go with handsome devil.

I rather enjoyed this short story and can’t wait to read more.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a short story set in the Omega Prey world that L.V Lane has created. It is about a princess who wants to escape her destiny and an alpha who will follow her anywhere to have her. I really enjoyed the characters and thought it was a great short to add to the Omegaverse
