What’s the one thing that could never happen to a girl like me? Dating a billionaire. Especially when he’s charming, mysterious, and just a little bit of a bad boy...
My summer is perfectly planned out: work hard and study harder. Between housekeeping shifts at Legacy Inn, I’m going to write the perfect college admissions essay to guarantee my acceptance into Harvard. There’s no time for distractions.
The problem? My essay SUCKS. I have nothing exciting to write about.
Enter Cooper Monroe.
Son of an A-list movie star and a powerhouse CEO, Cooper grew up in the lap of luxury in Beverly Hills. He’s been banished to Legacy Inn for the summer, and I’m stuck working for him. Gorgeous, famous, rich -- and never wearing a shirt -- he’s the ultimate distraction.
He’s the last person I should get involved with. So why does my heart beat so fast whenever he’s around?

Solid 3⭐️ I totally enjoy this series every time but they’re such an easy read that I feel like I can’t compare it to like some other books 😂 these are like 200 pages, and a rly easy romance plot to follow and thats it. But the second book is sooo good. I will forever recommend these books though, because they are rly clean. There is no swearing and no spice and it’s just very clean. And I hate it when books add in thoughts that should stay in people’s minds and these books are like that. No one even thinks slightly weird things. 😂 idk if that made sense. These books take place over one summer and each one is just about two different characters. You don’t have to read them in order😁 if you want an easy read, these books are perfect!
Stephi as she likes to be called is an uptight straight A student. Ever since her sister went through addiction she has had it in her mind that she needs to be perfect. Her parents are constantly arguing with her sister & her sister cusses them out. Stephi hates cussing. She sneaks inside after school grabs a drink from the kitchen & goes to her room. She drinks ginger ale because her stomach is constantly in knots. She is excited for summer because she will be working at a hotel. What she didn't expect was there to be a housekeeper/assistant for a film producer & his son.
Cooper is a former mischievous kid who is trying to be good but because of his past he is labeled the bad kid. Where his brother is considered the golden child because he gets straight A's. His brother decides to throw a party while mom is gone & Cooper immediately gets blamed for it. His brother doesn't confess. As punishment mom sends him to live with his dad. And his dad happens to be filming in Montana. Cooper has to be there all summer or until he proves he is trustworthy again.
Stephi is very awkward around Cooper & his dad at first. She's not used to being around celebrities, living in a small town. That soon changes when she gets to know Cooper. His dad lets Stephi visit after her work is done. They fall into a routine. She shows up early they make lunch together. Then they watch Jeopardy together. And sometimes she helps Cooper cook dinner. As time passes Cooper is allowed more freedoms as long as Stephi is with him. He takes her skydiving & flies her to a hot springs in a helicopter. Then he even has a chef brought in to cook them a meal. He takes her to see her favorite singer & surprises her with VIP back stage passes. She gets to meet her favorite singer. He also takes her to a dinner at so executives house. And they look forward to seeing each other daily. They fall in love & of course his brother shows up to ruin the relationship. He thinks Stephi is just a summer fling. But she is very special because she treats Cooper like he's normal. She doesn't try to use him to get things. She's kind, smart,& compassionate. Everyone in LA wants to use him for his connections. He's tired of the parties, drinking, drunks trying to hit on him, etc.
They breakup from a misunderstanding that his brother caused. And both are heartbroken. A few days before Cooper leaves early he is able to find out what his brother said. This results in his brother ad lifting he is jealous of him & he finally admits he threw the party. His Dad talks to them. His Dad takes the next day off to spend with them. When Stephi finds out Cooper is leaving she slips an essay she wrote about him. She confesses her feelings for him. They discuss the two misunderstandings and Cooper tells her he loves her. He doesn't leave in fact he stays. His dad rented a house in Montana in the same town as Stephi. His dad will be in Montana for a long time. Stephi was brave enough to tell her parents that she felt she had to be perfect. All they wanted was for her to be happy.
We are introduced to two character by the author: Cooper and Stef and below is a brief introduction and how I saw both characters while reading their story of summer love.
Cooper: He comes from privileged lifestyle, his parents are both famous and are wealthy. It seems Cooper was expected to live a certain lifestyle because of his family name, but I could see that is something he does not want. Although he does have a reputation as bad boy, he acknowledged that is not the persona he want to be. He is also always compared to his older bother who is the "golden child" of the family, and he is blamed for anything that goes wrong. So no surprise when his mother easily places blame on him when a party that Brody (older brother) throws goes wrong. As a form of punishment Cooper is shipped off from the LA scene to Montana for the summer to stay with his father at Legacy inn. It is at Legacy Inn that Cooper meets Stef, and a journey begins where he learns more about himself and that is more that the "bad boy" everyone thinks he is.
Stef- She is the opposite of Cooper, she is the "good girl" who has her whole future planned, and strives to be the perfect invisible unproblematic child for her parents. She feels it is her responsibility to be the "perfect child" because her parents deal so much already with her older sister who has history of substance abuse who frequently relapses. Although she is the perfect student and daughter, after meeting with her counselor she learns her college essay for Harvard is not good enough to make her stand out from other applicants. Her goal for the summer is to escape her family situation, and write a essay during her summer job at Legacy Inn so her future plans to Harvard stay on track. Her plans make a detour when she meets Cooper who helps out of her realized there is more than one path to life and helps her take risks she never thought she would take in her life.
I enjoyed the story of Stef and Cooper, they developed a relationship of friendship when they make a deal to help each other out. But this deal was more than what each had bargained for. A friendship that lead to new discoveries about themselves/eachother, a friendship that became romantic, and challenges they will have to face for that romance to be more than just for the summer. I recommend the book if you are looking for sweet innocent love from friends to lover romance book, an although it appears it part of legacy in series and this is book 3 it can be read as a stand alone book ( this is the first book i have read from the author). Want to get to know more about Stef and Cooper than pick up this feel good book.

¿Alguien gusta ir conmigo a Legacy Inn? Necesito.

Anyone would like to go to Legacy Inn with me? Because my inner teen demands it! This series is amazing. It has all kinds of cute interactions with characters that are interesting and they make wonderful stories keeping it romantic and cute. Very age appropriate.
This author (whose name is lovely right? Sara Jane.. I like it!) has an incredible style. Stefi and Cooper are very different and their lives couldn’t be more opposite, but they discover how much one can learn from the other and their interaction has friendship, admiration, respect and lots of romance.
Coop and Stefi are one of my favorite couples. Actually, Every couple has been pretty great. And they build a special friendship also. This is why I need to go to this place. ❤️❤️
This. Was. Incredible! The story was just plain amazing. There’s no other way to put it. There was so much feeling. I love how both the characters were real. They messed up and assumed the worst at times but were caring, funny, and loving. They were perfect for each other. They grew throughout the story as their story grew. I loved every second of the book. I was in a bad mood when they were. (My sister will vouch for that.) I ended up with a smile on my face. The story flowed smoothly. There were no bumps, none at all. The writing style was intriguing and kept my attention throughout.
This story follows Cooper and Stefi. Cooper has been banished to Legacy Inn to stay with his dad after his brother threw a party and didn’t confess. Since Cooper was a bad student last year, both parents expected it to be him. Stefi has been told her college essay is dry and she should take a summer to figure who she really is. She’s heading to Legacy Inn. Stefi gets assigned to be the concierge slash housekeeper of the penthouse that Cooper and his father will be staying in. After a bit of time, Cooper and Stefi become friends. But the relationship could never last since Cooper’s going back to California. They are from completely different worlds.

Meh. I am not much for couples who have no common life goals getting together. Stephi wants to go to an ivy league school, we NEVER learn why. Why is it SO important she wastes hundreds of thousands of dollars at this school?? Your guess is as good as mine. While Connor doesn’t know what he wants in life. I mean apparently they bond over Jeopardy, which is meh. Still doesn’t seem like life long success to me, but whatever.
Bravo for an author actually writing to her age group and not just giving into publishers demands to include sexual content. I appreciate it! Might give another book a try just for that 💛. Especially since that is getting more and more difficult to find in authors. They will just do anything to get published now. No moral standards when money is on the line I guess 🤷🏼♀️
Dont get me wrong I did like this book. It was all about the emotions of two young adults, that had different upbringings and lifestyles. Cooper and Stefi meet under different stages of their lives. Stefi stuck with writing a college admission essay, but while doing a summer job she meets Cooper. Cooper on the other hand, is from big money and been sent to live with his father Kade for the summer as a punishment. Cooper and Stefi grow as people and they find themselves. Only theres no drama, no excitement or anything it just seems flat. Im really sorry Sara but it felt there was something missing that would keep people reading.

I love going back to the Legacy Inn, I’m always excited to see which relationship will blossom overnight. This time it was Stefi’s turn, she a very smart girl but lacks some “real” life experience, enter Cooper, the son of a famous movie star. They are the perfect ying and yang, they bring out the best in each other! It was so sweet to follow their path, how they grow to each other, how their love grows! I really hope there will be more books to come!

The Legacy series is amazing. I read a lot of serials but I've never encountered 4 books which occur concurrently. Yet the author fives nothing away in each about the other leaving each fresh and inviting. Ms. Woodley taps into the fears, insecurities, and inherent ability we have to misunderstand each other in any personal relationship. As I approach the climax of her books, I find my heart racing, hands tingling, and eyes watering. And it feels good. I enjoy all of her works and highly recommend them.
I loved the first book, it was amazing, but as I continued the series I did not like how all the same characters were in it. One of the things I enjoy about reading books are that you get to know ALL the different characters, I feel like it is a lot of the same love story with different people and a different main trope. I wish I liked this book as much as I did the first one but I could not find it within myself to like this book very much.
I really enjoy this author. The Legacy Inn books are great coming of age stories about young adults finding themselves. They are full of content and easy to read. Fun, romantic and clean. I would suggest these books to any young adult girl wanting a good romance read.
4.5!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So, so, so cute! Guys in books are too sweet!🥹🥲 I loved it so much, but it’s so predictable. Every book in this series is the same! They meet, fall in love, some rude sibling or ex gets in the way, make up, and return to school hand-in-hand. EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK. It’s okay, though, Cooper’s sweet and cute personality makes up for it!🩷
It was sweet. The beginning definitely caught my attention. It was also a bonus to see all the families resolution. Still think Brody should have apologized. I feel like I connected with Stefi and Coop. They had back stories and logical struggles they were dealing with
Content: Some mentions of blood, drugs, alcohol, passive parents, shirtless males, and only kissing .
I liked the book, I think it was the most interesting in the whole series. I especially liked how down-to-earth Cooper was and how he was barely fazed by being a billionaire and being rich. The characters are interesting and caught my attention
3.75 ⭐️ Quick read, very sweet but not too sweet, academic weapon x misunderstood rich boy, summer romance, YA, -didn’t really felt the depth of the characters but I literally read it in 12 hours so idc -the ending felt a little bit rushed -would recommend
A clear 4.5! I love this series so much I went back for more. Even though sometimes I had thought it could have been a little more spicy. I absolutly loved it!
This series is a heartwarming, feel-good kind of set of stories. All four books take place during the same period of time, and they can all be stand alone as well. The only thing you might miss out on by not reading them all is experiencing the different love stories of each of the characters! I would recommend reading them all as I definitely enjoyed them each just as much! I can’t think of a more summer feeling series of books☀️
👩💻Sara Jane Woodley 📚romance 🔥1/10 💗8/10 💧2/10 🌤️7/10 🤔9/10 ♥️9/10
at the first part of the book, I found cooper to be a little self centered, but I really couldn’t blame him. this book is such a fun read, I read it over the summer time, and it definitely gave summer vibes. although I would not reread this book.
