Overall: Felt like a faster read than Dissent (BoB #1), and was just as fast-paced. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and read it almost all in one sitting, I was so invested.
Likes: Thought-provoking, End Times fiction
Dislikes: N/A

Mixed feelings

I have trouble liking the main character Willow, I feel an 18 year old bossing everyone of every age around is silly, she was not more experienced and just because She is gifted with prophecy should not make her bossy and totally un-humble just the opposite .
I feel sure the “mark”must include an act of worship or disavowing God and or Jesus so the whole act of running away from the mark here makes no sense as they were only forced to take it and not worship anything or anyone.
there are so many bothersome things, young girls strong beyond belief and a normal family dog that suddenly becomes able to hide or heel for someone not even his master.
wild animals everywhere and yet the day after extreme drama willow nonchalantly lets an inexperienced person go fishing alone.
Anyway flaws and all I still have read the second book although I do think I will stop here.

Scary times are ahead of us. Band of Believers brings that out. Tension filled the pages of this book. Willow Archer is an interesting character, willing to keep the band of believers safe, even with her own life. Who could they trust? How to live as a Christian during the tribulation when anyone could be the enemy, increasing the tension. Strange disappearances took it up another notch. They had to find the missing members. Then her friends are attacked. Rescue them. Great read. I loved it.

Duplicity

This KU library read is the second in a series with an overarching storyline. Willow, Raven and the rest of the band have taken in new members, then learn of a recent EMP attack. Ponderosa is without power, without food, and is turning to the forest to hunt whatever game might still be alive. The band of . believers is facing one trial after another and questioning who they can trust. Book three is up next

Christian fiction

This book is hard to put down. In an age of apostasy it seems that every book is filled with sexual permissiveness and filthy language. It is refreshing to find a really good book that is well thought out and entertaining. Though the story is fictional it is based on biblical prophesy, and a narrative that comes from these trying times of today. This is a great read and I would recomend it to anyone, whether they are a Christian or not.

Heartbreak and Glory

The band of believers are struggling but God is faithful. Willow's doing all she can to lead those God has put in her care. But it's hard when 1 person is keing a horrible secret and another person is not quite trustworthy. When a battle to the death happens only the grace of God can provide the victory they need, but at what price.

Non Stop Adrenaline Rushes

That’s all I can say about Book 2! I’m thinking that there will be a little peace and rest and Bam! Something else happens! I wonder what it would be like for Christians who don’t live in the mountains but in the cities or suburbs. It will be a different world for sure.

Couldn't put it down!

This series is wonderful and absolutely captivating. Just like the first book, I read every moment I have the chance inhaling the story line. Well written. Enough detail to paint a visual picture but not to bog you down. The presence and working of prayer and God's defense and guidance is right on! This could definitely happen in real life.

The End Tines Move On

The band of believers are stressed as many more people are moving in. Many are helpful but others try to take by force. I am really enjoying reading this series

The suspense continues

The 2 groups have to face adversity as others try to take what they have. The posers leave the group, one on his own accord, the other permanently. Natural disasters continue to happen. It's an engaging and engrossing book series.

End times

This was a great follow up to Band of Believers, Dissent. The story line picked up where book one left off. The is a plot twist that I didn't see coming. I'm loving this series so far looking forward to reading book 3

Good wholesome clean reading for all ages.

I enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end and it was hard to put down. I would recommend it to all ages. I did not expect it to have the twist that it did and cannot wait to read the next in the series.

Exciting

I couldn't put it down. I had to know what happens next.

It also makes me think about today. We are living in the end times. How much of this story will come true in the next few years? Will some of the things that happened in the story happen for real? They might.

I think the author did a good job of writing a faith based novel, but if you’re looking for a bible based end time themed novel I don’t think this is it. This is more of a survival novel with end time themes, but not as clear cut as other “revelations themed” books of this genre.

I find myself reading so quickly and intently that I don't recognize how "clean" these books are until I have finished another one and am reflecting back on what I've read! Its wonderful!

Band of Believers, Book 2: Duplicity

Great transition from Book 1. I’m hooked now. The story is full of twists and turns. The characters are maturing in their challenging environment. Makes me think how I’d do.

Easy to follow storyline. Realistic, no science fiction here. Learned a few new strategies in worse case scenarios. Didn't want stop reading.
