This collection of poetry was written in the '90's with some of the poems a tribute to the situation of war in Yugoslavia. I found these poems particularly beautiful as they are very relevant as well with the situation of refugees in Europe today. He captures the right view on immigrants and PEOPLE perfectly, as many Danes and Europeans certainly do not.
Some of the poems went over my head, as poetry usually does with me, but Benny Andersen certainly is my kind of poet

Det er nogle søde, joviale og kærlige digte om danskerne, og fuglene i vores haver, om kærligheden og det at blive ældre, som jeg har gået og hygget mig lidt med om morgenen den sidste måneds tid, men altså jeg fik ikke sådan nogen oplevelser af sublim skønhed eller erkendelse af at læse dem.
