Raven and I fought for peace and found it inside chaos and bloodshed. Our life will never be perfect. There are too many victims, too much pain for us to wrap our happy ending in a bow.

Not that a perfect ending matters to us, because that isn’t who we are. We found each other through pain, and tied ourselves to each other in ribbons of trauma.

Everything else might be up in the air, but I know one thing for sure. Raven is my everything, and I’ll resurrect my inner monster to keep her.

This is the conclusion to the Pretty Monsters Trilogy. No Cliffhanger and an HEA.
Trigger Warning: This book contains flashbacks of abuse that may disturb readers.

What an amazing conclusion to this trilogy! I have been eagerly waiting for the final book and it did not disappoint! It was a roller-coaster ride from start to finish. My favorite part is the strength and awesomeness of Raven. She didn't need to be protected and proved that she could hold her own. She really grew throughout the saga. Sin, what can I say about him? He proved that he could be vulnerable too without breaking. This addition has many twists and turns that kept my head spinning. What a ride!

Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done

This was quite a closeout to the trilogy. This was by far my favorite of the 3. Never bored, moved very quickly. Sometimes I wished we could have spent longer on the character dynamics, love story themed scenes, friendship scenes- but that wouldn't have been appropriate for how this book was structured. I loved the messy love, loved the found family trope. I really like Lucien and Teddy. Wish Amber and Jen got more spotlight, but there wasn't quite enough time I think. Tessa's character arc was satisfying. Feel like Ford could have had more. I wanted MORE TIME with Raven, Lucien, Tempest sibling bonded- again thought, wouldn't have been sense in this story. All the secondary characters were so good. Even though everything seemed a little too easily connected, unbelievably woven together, it still worked? It fit with the rest of the story. And wow, super steamy, intense scenes. Per usual I wanted more of a victory lap at the end. Really enjoyed it! Definitely recommend.

Expect the unexpected with this story, as I learned in the previous books of the trilogy. A rollercoaster ride with twists, turns, and more surprises. An intricately weaved web of lies, cons, and craziness; the story kept me intrigued as I wondered what would happen next on Sin and Raven's journey with their family and friends. As they band together with loyalty, love and shared trauma, they must attempt to discover who is really on their side and who isn't as lines blur in loyalty from outsiders. I was so glad they finally got their happy ending and a solid support system because these folks have been through so much that could've broken them. Beware of Kimberly's trigger warnings for this trilogy, and if dark and twisted doesn't turn you away, give it a try because as disturbing as some things are, it definitely is captivating too. Narration as always brought the story to life.

Peaceful Chaos

OMG!!!!! I can’t not 😭😭 this whole series has touched my soul. I guess I’m a sucker. But all seriousness I tell people I have no trigger warnings because I lived threw so much. I am a victim of SA as a child. I read books like this to cope and I see how the MMC and FMC can do it and it makes me feel like I’m not alone. People can say there fake but in my head I don’t care. Most writers do make a book like this to deal and heal with their own trauma. I can support that I love too. I loved EVERYTHING about this book more then any of them. We learn so much about Sin in all three books he always gives and gives he keeps going and going. He never gives up. He fought his PTSD and Panic attacks over time. Raven came out with her story in book 2. Raven grows in each book but what I loved is she began as a well rounded character and a strong one. She was a fighter from the get go. She took everything that came her way and helped Sin when he was stuck in his own head. I am. I loved the ending simple as that and I feel like anyone who has been threw bad crap like that deserves a happy ending but I want more books out of this series. I’ll even help I don’t care 😭🤣 she could have a whole collection with everyone in the books POV and I would read it. As always happy reading. Before I go just know help is always available if you are a victim of SA, DV, Neglect. If you feel like you don’t belong and haven suicidal thoughts please text or call 988. Your life does matter and people do love you. I root for all of us victims and maybe one day we will be whole again. ♥️

Loved this entire series from start to finish.. There were so many plot twist that were easy to follow.. I loved the growth we got to see Sin go through from reconnecting with his parents working close with his uncle and we finally get to see him unleash.. Although Sin and Lucien said it should be Raven that got to kill Damien I was okay with Sin turning it and Lucien being the one to do it.. Damien hurt Lucien just as much as he did Raven and Sin... I didn't mention anything in my other reviews about the relationship between Teddy Lucien and Ember but it was one of my favorites besides Sin and Raven especially the moment between Teddy and Lucien before they raided Damien's house.. I was screaming at Raven when she was given Jenna to much info about if she was with Sin or not.. Everything they been through and you just giving info out like that...But I was glad Raven was the one to come up with the plan to take Jenna down and for once Sin trusted her to do so...I loved the growth we got to see Raven go through too.. She started out as pretty much a doormat for her father but being around her brother and Sin turned her into a savage.. I glad Sin fixed his friendship with Ford because the two of them were driving me crazy(Mainly Sin) with the up and down.. Ford is really his first best friend(Because him and Lucien were brothers from jump) so I was happy to see they got pass their issue.. I wouldn't mind a mini series about Lucien Teddy and Ember’s relationship I think that could be good

im writing this review a little late. i feel this review is more of the entire series then just the third book. i forgot that i didn't add this to my list. i listened to the entire series on audio. the narrators were really good. im glad this entire series had a HEA. My heart hurts so bad for Sin and what he has gone through. his perseverance to come out on the other side in a positive is inspiring. He learned he could be vulnerable and see that not everyone is out to get him. The amount of strength demonstrated through this trilogy is one of my favorite parts. the strength of Raven to grow and become independent and proving she didnt need anyone to protect her. the strength Sin needed to not let the past control him. the strength of Lucien to leave everything he knew. i love all of the side characters and the found family. i need more of the stories though. I need a book about Teddy Lucien and Amber(i think). I want to see their dynamic. Ford! he is such a selfless lover and he needs his HEA too and I don't want him with Tessa. I wish I saw more of just the family/friend interactions. How they spent their time with eachother in between the times of something big going on. spice was spicing of course I always want more 🤣 i loved the twists that were constantly coming but I did feel some of this was dragged out. either way would still recommend!

WOW!! This book was an awesome conclusion to the trilogy. Raven and Sin are so perfectly devoted to each other even as they are so very imperfect. I just love the way that they are a team no matter what they face.
There were a few times in this book I thought I knew what was going to happen, but each time I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. Sin is just *sigh* so darkly swoony. He carries the weight of a very difficult past, but no matter how often he tries to tell Raven that he would never be good enough for her, she comes along side him and proves that their broken pieces fit together, and they are just meant to be.
Raven got to shine in some awesome badass moments in this book, and they each took turns fighting for the other, and even got to fight together too.
There were so many times I felt connected to both Raven and Sin even though they come from such different worlds. Kimberly has a way of really digging into these characters and making them feel so real and relatable despite the dark and crazy lives they live.
The ending was really satisfying, and I loved getting to see all the characters that we've met along the way, come together for this finale. I LOVE Lucien, and really hope we get to see more of him.
For a story whose characters have so many ghosts and such awful things that they have experienced, this has so much heart and hope in it too. It just had me feeling so many things, and it will definitely be a story that stays with me.

“I promised to fight for him, with him, and I'd burn the world down to give him peace.”

To have a love like that! This was an amazing ending to an out of this world trilogy. Still couldn’t put this down until I finished. Now I’m sad that it’s over. My mind is still blown! Again an amazing plot full of twist and turns. Full of angst, drama, and unpredictability. While some readers consider this too messy, messy makes it more compelling and makes for a better story. Still love most of the characters. There are a few I’m disappointed in and was glad they redeemed themselves in the end. It’s a wonder Sin and Raven haven’t exploded from their chemistry. I also love the Lucien, Teddy, and Amber angle. I’d love to read their story! Ford also deserves his HEA! Hopefully we’ll see more of them in the future (Hint! Hint!). I loved Lucien and Raven’s little sister. She’s a firecracker just like Raven! I love this group and hated to see it end. I can’t say enough amazing things about this trilogy. Well worth reading!!!

This is the last book in this series. Oh, this series has been great! It has come a very long way! In the beginning Sin was sleeping with random women in the bathroom of bars, not to be with Raven. Raven was drawn to Sin but they were definitely more enemies to lovers in the beginning. Sin and Lucian have suffered so much at the hands of Damian. Sin was beyond traumatized. The last book left off on the big cliffhanger of Agent Holbrook. The big question is can Agent Holbrook be trusted now? This Agent really changes throughout the series. I think he lost his way. At the beginning Agent Holbrook was the only one the group could count on. Quickly that changes. Sin has to realize he truly deserves Raven despite of his past. Raven needs Sin to treat her as his equal not as breakable glass. Raven does not need to be hidden away and protected. Raven can defend herself 🏹 . It seems that Sin and Raven were destined and had a history that goes back even further than the readers realized. I really got sucked into the storyline, characters, and side characters. I will miss this series.

Final conclusion to the Sin and Raven's story.

Here we are, everyone still trying to keep Sin and Raven apart. Sin finds his "real" parents after realizing he was kidnapped at a young age and his really family wants him away from Raven. Damien is still trying to get Raven back by any means necessary. They feel like they can't trust anyone, aside from themselves and their friends. The only thing they positively know is that they will never be safe until Damien is gone.

I really liked this trilogy. The last book takes you through so much more and you have to wonder if these two (three including Lucien) are ever going find their HEA. There are so many characters and sometimes it's hard to keep up, but I wouldn't have their friend group be any other way. I love them all! I definitely need to read more about Teddy/Amber/Lucien! Hoping that happens. ;)

I honestly still can't decide if it was just my headspace that let me down or the actual story... There were some parts of this finale that I really loved and had me hooked in listening, but so much of it I just felt okay about. It was a good story, I just wish it would have all been one book and shortened up I think... I really loved these characters, especially Sin and Raven and Lucian. I loved their backstory and their growth too. And their ending was just perfect for them.

The audio was really well done. Nathaniel Gray and Phillipa Miller were absolutely fantastic and I really enjoyed listening to them narrate this story. I'll definitely be looking for more from them in the future. Pink Flamingo always does a phenomenal job with the production as well, and this book was no different. It was very well done.

Breaking Free

“I’d live through every moment again if I knew you were waiting at the end of it.”

Let’s just start with I devoured this book in six hours! I got into it IMMEDIATELY after book two of Kimberly Carrillo’s Pretty Monsters Trilogy. I’m talking up all night, people!!!
Peaceful Chaos starts with a major plot twist after the killer cliffhanger in book two. The deception is real with this one, y’all! Ms. Carrillo got me good! Hero and heroine, Sin and Raven, have just had a bloody confrontation with Daddy Blackthorne. Of course, like the viper that he is, the sneaky bastard got away.
There is a lot more character development in this book. Sin and Raven are both struggling with their pasts which are impacting their present. Sin is learning about the rewards of brotherhood while Raven is reaping the benefits of her newfound sisterhood. They are also learning hard truths about their blood relatives. These two engage in a lot of hurt/comfort sex in this book. I found it really sweet, though. They are actively working on their marriage beyond the physical and they’ve found their love language. Be aware of a few trigger warnings: mentions of rape, sex abuse, and child abuse.
The entire gang, tired of being pushed around by the worst adults on the planet, is showing backbone and taking matters into their own hands. This is probably my favorite lesson in Chaos. Sometimes you have trust in your instincts and your skill set if you can’t trust in anyone else. It’s a hard lesson they have all had to learn. But it’s brought the found family (Raven, Sin, Lucien, Ford, Ted, Shane, Amber, Jen, And Tessa) a lot closer.
New loyalties spark fresh hope. And there’s some redemption and reconciliation for multiple characters. Several sweet revelations are sprinkled throughout Chaos as well. I was pleasantly surprised with those as they are beautiful tie-ins to the full storyline.
The climax is epic and I was extremely satisfied with the conclusion of the series. Daddy Blackthorne finds his ride to hell. This scene surprised me though but it really makes perfect sense. I like that everything isn’t tied up with a neat bow. But I also have it on a good authority that this won’t be the last we will hear of these lovely cast of characters. It was a well done series and absolutely worth the read.
Read if you’re down with:
*Dark Romance
*Suspense
*Revenge
*Found Family
*Romantic Series
*Captivating Storytelling

Peaceful Chaos by Kimberly Carrillo is a dark romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Nathaniel Gray and Phillipa Miller. This is the third and final book in the Pretty Monsters Trilogy.

This was the first series of Kimberly's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship between Sin and Raven. It's extremely messy but I couldn't help but root for them. I loved getting both of their points of views throughout the book.

Nathaniel and Phillipa did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this series if you're looking for a romantic suspense.

“You & I were forged in chaos and violence … but in you, I found peace.”

Thanks a million to the Tempt app (and the author / publisher for being there) I was finally able to listen to this. I binged books 1 & 2 a while back and became hooked into this world.

This was another addictive, mostly fast-paced read and I’m glad to have been able to finish up the trilogy. I loved the tie-in with other work by this author.

Packs:

Danger.
New adult.
Suspense.
Action scenes.
Attempted SA.
Roofie-ing.
T0rture / fight scenes.
Bargaining - with life quite literally on the line.
Found family.
Tested loyalty.
Deception.

And lots more, actually—I could never list it all.

Overall:
4 stars.

Perfect narration and all-around production. 5 stars. 🦩

Peaceful choas

This was such a whirlwind of action, drama, violence, suspense, ruthlessness, pain, trauma, passion, family and love. There journey evolved and left you heartbroken and routing for them at the same time. The obstacles they over came and trust/loyalty they had for each other and there little group was emotional. This was truly a captivating and gripping storyline and has incredible characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this series, please be aware of triggers for some.

light in the darkness

Peaceful Chaos pick right but with Raven and Lucian mother being shot by FBI agent Grant. I honestly didn’t expect what happened 😳. I might have as many trust issues as Sin.

Not everything is always as it seems and Lucian, Sin and Raven are determined to end Damien. With the help of there friends and Javier they are finally able to do something.

This was a great ending to Sin and Ravens story. Sun is the perfect mix of dangerous and sweet with her. Raven is a bada00 and the perfect one for Sin. This trilogy was 💜🖤🖤

Peaceful Chaos

This story is both sad and Spicy and goes to show that you might have to fight to get what you want. But Sin, Raven and Lucien are in for a bumpy ride with Damian still thinking he is king but little does he know the walls are closing in on him. Sin thinks he is going to lose Raven again because his pass keeps coming back at him. But with all the new friends and family That is starting to surround them they will win this war

Sin-fully amazing!

The chaos of emotions that this book, this series, evokes is so not to be missed! Sin and Ravens chemistry, love, and devotion is exquisite. The twists and turns of the plot keep you so enthralled that you find yourself still reading at 3am with one eye open telling yourself just one more chapter then bed lol! Don’t miss out, because as soon as you finish this trilogy there is a spin-off about the character Ford, and you know it’s going to be hot!

Raven and Sin are a power couple that I enjoyed listening to. The found family bonds and strengths allowed them to overcome every obstacle put in their way. Their explosive chemistry and angsty world was addicting.

Nathaniel Gray and Phillipa Miller did a great job bringing these characters to life.

If you’ve been reading/listening to this trilogy then you know it’s been a wild ride. When Perfect Sin ended, I was on the edge of my seat and I had to dive into the Chaos. These characters may thrive in chaos but you won’t be able to guess how it ends! I loved the friendships, family and bonds that were made throughout this trilogy. I was left with a book hangover after this one and I hope you enjoy it at least half as much as I did.

What a ride this was. Please take note of the TW's before you listen to this trilogy. This is a dark romance. The action and twists throughout was insane. I was given this audio but I bought the 2 before the final book to get the whole story. This is full of so many things. Raven and Sin are definitely their own version of Peaceful Chaos. Highly recommend if you don't have the TW's that everyone warns about as it can get quite dark. Well done. The narrators also did an amazing job as well.
