Jill is a Texan, born and raised. She manages the hectic social calendars for her three active children and occasionally spends an evening with her dashing husband. Aside from being an author and a mom, she's a travel junkie and loves to read when she is not lost in her own stories.

With Jill’s books, you can count on confident heroines, plenty of steamy tension, and deliciously assertive leading men. There are no guarantees in life, but with her books, you know everything will work out in the end. However, a perfect ending would not be nearly as satisfying without a seemingly insurmountable challenge. Jill loves to add plenty of adversity in her stories, creating unforgettably dynamic characters and sneaky plot twists you will never see coming.

Summary of this book

Book 1: kinda boring but picks up towards the end. Mostly forgettable. 2 stars

Book 2: hated the hero (sorry forgot his name). H and h are childhood friends and get together as teens until he breaks up with her. I was fine with her forgiving him until we are told how he drove her away. In essence he decides that being together puts her in danger so H invites her to a party so she can catch him cheating on her with another girl from school. He then drops out of school and ghosts her. The girl who he cheated with blames her for his disappearance and makes her life hell until she meets another boy who becomes her best friend and he stands up to her bullies. She NEVER moves on from H remaining a virgin. When he comes back into her life and finds out about her BBF he assumes they are together and has the audacity to be pissed that she had "moved 0n" during high school. URGHHH! This huge mess *may* have been salvaged if it wasn't for the fact that there is ZERO GROVEL!!! Therefore 0 Stars.

Book 3 was a lot better. I really liked the h who was not bland or a doormat like the previous books. She had been hurt so had a hard protective shell around her to avoid getting hurt again. The H eventually managed to get through it and find out why she acted the way she did. The author did a good job writing her and it was done in a way that made me care about the h and invested in her HEA. It wasn't until towards the end of the book that we found out what happened to her and who was behind Marco's murder which kept me interested in the story. I didn't hate this H (don't get me started again about the previous book) although it took me while to warm to him but by the end I was on his side and was very satisfied with the end. 4 stars.
I'm giving it 3.5 only because of Book 3. Sadly Books 1 and 2 really let it down and if my score had been based on those books it would have been 1 star. I will read the next set and hope it continues on in the same vein as the last book.

I freaking loved every minute! I am getting the other books in the series!!

I wasn't sure about Maria, but after Matteo, she started letting her family get closer. Then understanding the WHY, it all made sense. Though I had been getting the clues, they were well hidden.
I understood how Sophia felt about Nico's betrayal, but also WHY Nick handled it the way he had. That one was a hard one to work through.
Alessia's reactions to Luca, and separately her father, were a wild tangle to work her way through. But she came through all of it stronger.
Great stories! Good for re-reads!

This first of 2 volumes hold the first 3 books in the five families series. These stories are about 3 sisters who unbeknownst to them is a mafia boss.

These books take you through their trials and tribulations as they navigate their way in a new world, while trying to find love.

Each sister has her own unique personality and I loved seeing each one grow as you read the books. I loved the overall feel of family and seeing them all repair as you go through each book.

I was so caught up and consumed in this world that I couldn’t put this series down.

Enjoyed these three stories

Nice easy reads and great stories about three sisters. They all got HEAs with dangerous but tender men.
The favorite had to be Alessia and Luca because I love insta attraction and that scene in the elevator did it for me.
One gripe I had with these stories, I felt they could have been a little more dark and suspenseful. I felt it was missing that gut emotions that have you swooning or crying. Felt like the stories were rushed with the characters diving into each other.
I'm curious about the other family members and the novellas.

Thoroughly enjoyable read!

I thought this set of books were pretty good. Do they romanticise violence? A little bit but they’re also a nice little escape into a space that the everyday Joe/Jane is probably quite curious about. Lots of IRL names and personality traits are referenced (like ‘Genovese’) which gives them a bit of an edge and wound through them are these slightly unconventional love stories. I enjoyed the read a lot.

It’s very difficult to find a good author of mafia romance books. Jill Ramsower is one author who doesn’t write good mafia romance books but instead writes great mafia romance books. I loved reading these three books. They all contained great plots, chemistry and romance. I seldom reread a book but I’ve reread Blood Always several times.

Mafia Romance

When I first started reading this mini book series 1-3 ,I was not sure it was my flavor of mafia Ness. I was so wrong. Each nook has connections to the previous book and they all make sense after reading. I truly enjoyed these books

Honestly, this might be a good book, but the Audible narration was so disorganized that I couldn’t follow the story. I rely on being able to read along with the narration, and that just wasn’t possible here. Unfortunately, I had to stop reading and couldn’t finish it.
