Yes, we all want to write a book on our pets but when the first book worked its charm so perfectly good, it's hard not to compare the one that follows it.

The artstyle is the same yet I feel the first book had much more to offer.
In this sequel that follows the first book, the puppy has grown up so much!
Coming to the most important part of the book though. It tells the young readers some basic tips through this short commentary on how to understand our dog pets and how they act according to how they feel. The book tries to explain some basic common behaviour of our pet dogs.

It's a book for kids and beginners. A job well done.

For me, this picture book series will hold a special place in my bookshelves as well as in my heart.

The Gopi Diaries : Finding Love is the second book out of the three in The Gopi Diaries series by Sudha Murty.

Gopi, the beloved pet of Ajji's household has grown up and is now taking us on his everyday adventures. The book has been narrated by Gopi himself (quite adorable, right?!) and our dear Gopi understands and speaks English!!! Its such a fresh perspective to read from, honestly. He meets and interacts with Ajji's office family, new dog companions, Ajji's family members and then comes Corona. What is this Corona? Reading about such incidents is quite interesting and heartwarming for our Gopi is nothing but a devoted and loving doggo. One of the reasons I enjoyed the writing of the book was that, it was realistic. Mrs. Murty talks about how Gopi perceived not going out of home, walks and outing, courtesy, Corona. There's also a little chapter about a family member finally accepting and loving Gopi. Simple language, an interesting narrative and a good storyline made this book a 5 star read for me. Inspite of this book being part two of the three in the series, it's stands as a tale that can be read and enjoyed even if the first part hasn't been read by the reader.

This small, short and colourful book has been illustrated by Sandhya Prabhat who has done a commendable job. Not only the writing, the illustrations too were some of the best and most beautiful I've ever seen. The visual appeal of the book skyrockets all due to the name Sudha Murty and the bright and distinctive cover.

Read this to your kid, they are bound to love it. If you are/have a kid who can read and comprehend, gift this book to them and, if you are an adult who enjoys simple and good writing, pick this up! I loved it!!

Gopi had become darling in first book. So, the second book is obviously going to be an endearing affair, and it is. Need of the hour is such books, that makes you smile, makes you happy. Makes you want to adopt a pet.

Sandhya Prabhat's illustrations win heart this time too. Makes you want to cuddle Gopi right now. Murthy is obviously, unmatched when it comes to plain words that directly find their way to your hearts. An absolutely delightful read.

BOOK REVIEWThe Gopi Diaries: Finding Love By Sudha Murty

This is the second book in the Gopi Diaries series. Finding Love is a children's story of an adorable and friendly dog Gopi who lives in Bangalore with Ajji and her family. Gopi is now one year old and becomes stronger, bigger, and more confident. Now it's difficult for Ajji( his mother) to handle him during their evening walk. After all, he is much stronger than before, pulls his leash, and always wanted to explore his surroundings. Join Gopi on their adventurous journey to face new situations, new challenges, and he even visited Ajji's office and won the hearts of many people with his endless energy and spirit. Gopi Diaries is a beautifully narrated story and written from the perspective of Gopi. I want to admire the author for writing such a wonderful book for our furry friends. Whether you have a dog as a pet or not, but real and playful pictures of Gopi make you fall in love with him.

Sudha Murty is an award-winning author of more than 30 bestselling books and chairperson of the Infosys Foundation.Perfect for 5+This book is available on Amazon.

An amazing book, written from the perspective of a dog, Gopi. It has a sweet, loving, and heartwarming story, written in the usual Sudha Murthy style. Though this book has been written for children, I loved it equally. Especially, the illustrations added to the beauty of this book. Vibrant colors, hardcover, thick pages, large fonts, and beautiful illustrations made this book attractive and easy to handle for kids. Don't give a second thought, go for it!

Id like dogs that much but you can certainly feel the happiness that gopi possesses with his new family. It is definitely worth a read, the only thing wrong with this is that it's too short .
I felt happiness when I read it and I didn't want it to come to a stop.
I love it

Review:

The second book of the bestselling Gopi series from one of my favorite Indian author.

In this book we see our lovely, cute Gopi is now bigger, stronger, making more mischief, learning more new things, having new adventures, Like in the very beginning we see Gopi got excited, seeing his own reflections on the mirror and thought his Ajji took some new dog.

This is a kind of book to take you go back to your childhood, the colorful illustrations, simple story of seeing Gopi through his diary, make you smile all through the book.

A book if you have a child in your home, you would love to read to them or if you're in a mood you want to read some simple book, just indulge yourself reminiscing old days. And if you're a pet lover, you will dream of having one just to experience these cute antics, love, devotion of the animal, or if you have a pet, you definitely going to compare the story to your pet.

So a feel good book through and through.

Pets have a language of their own but their ability to feel emotions is no different than us.

"I know that you are no less than that. All you want is love."

'The Gopi Diaries' is picturised over the life of Gopi, a teenage Golden Retriever. Gopi's adventures like getting excited by the sight of water, craving for ice-cream, biting a saree 'pallu', and even an incident of temperature check are described in a humorous way.

The illustrations are pretty and will keep you vested in the story. I loved Sudha Murthy's books like 'Wise and Otherwise', 'Old Man and his God', 'Mahashweta' which comprised of anecdotes from her personal life.

Indeed, this book is for Sudha Murthy's fans of all age groups.

“The Gopi Diaries: Finding Love”

The Gopi Diaries: Finding Love is the second book in the heart-warming series of Sudha Murty. The pet Gopi, the lovable and cute creature, takes the readers through the daily adventures of growing up in the home of Ajji!

The realism of this book is what I liked as it describes life during the pandemic in the eyes of Gopi. Sudha Murty illustrates his experiences, such as how he misses walks, and how he learns to live. It is an interesting story, yet a sweet chapter about a family member accepting Gopi. Its straightforward writing and independent storyline make it a 5-star read even to people who are not reading the first book!

Gopi is quite big now, in this book, and he is stronger, and full of mischief! He is constantly trying something new and venturing into new things. Among the comic scenes is when he finds himself reflected in the mirror and thinks Ajji has found a new dog friend!

This is a must-read book among children! They will easily be in love with the adventures of Gopi. It is also ideal reading among adults that want to read pure heart-warming stories; a good book to read when one wants a book that brings about joy!

The story continues on for our beloved doggo Gopi and this time it's a a group of of brand new adventures with new situations. I read the first book and I absolutely loved it. As soon as I found out that the second book was in the making, it took immediate priority over my other anticipated releases for this year.

In this book, Gopi is introduce to us as more loving, playful and top-notch adorable big pup. With the new world situation and the sudden change and Gopi analysing and figuring out everything, there were so many joyous and surprised moments which were quite amazing to read. With Gopi's internal monologue notched up the entire book's cuddlesome and affectionate scale to a great extent.

With remarkable and radiant illustrations, this book is a must read and needs no convincing otherwise. And if you to adored the first book (Coming home) then I can definitely sure you are going to love this one as well.

I liked they had Gopi's first birthday. Gopi eats ice cream two times. One day Gopi goes to office with Ajji and when they come to office, everyone likes Gopi. Once two human cousins came to visit with their dogs - Hari and Nandi. Gopi's father - Appa - gets married and they are all a happy family.
I liked the story overall. I was sad about the story of an old man who lived with his dog.

So Gopi is a dog . Who loves to play , eat , and disturb his favourites to seek some attention and care.
Although the whole book revolves around gopi's life , his views , his thinking and people around him.
