I really like the first part of the book. It gives context and tries to explain the differences which emerge with the transition from real world to virtual meetings.

The rituals are helpful and works best for me as inspiration to create my own rituals tailored to specific situations.

Presentation style is clean, simple and appealing.

What I didn‘t like is that the presentation of the rituals it‘s often to simple. I miss a deeper discussion of limitations and critieras to support me make decisions to use it in different situations. There‘re rituals I would never use for certain business situation because it will not be accepted.

The style of writing is fine although it has a little bit of to much of american idiealism.

I ready the first half of the book.
I like that the authors validate the rituals’ value not just by referring to experience but also referencing social/psychological studies that relate.
In a video-led working world it is useful to deliberately redesign some of the natural interactions we used to have as a group. This book helped me see how and why.

Borrowed a copy off the new shelf at my local library, and liked it so much I bought a copy to keep on my desk so I can make notes in it as I go. Super useful! Two thumbs up!

This book includes lots of great ideas for things to do during virtual meetings, workshops, and virtual social events. While the title talks about rituals, I would say they are activities such as ice breakers, ways to connect virtually, ideas for team engagement, welcomings and closings. There were lots of ideas that I thought I could begin using immediately. A great resource for people who lead workshops or meetings or do anything virtually.

A couple novel ideas but mostly skimmable fluff

The only parts that I found valuable were the “how to do this ritual” steps, which unfortunately are only like 20 percent of the book. The person deep dives and the explanations of the inspiration of each ritual felt totally unnecessary to me.

Some useful recipes to improve the effectiveness of virtual meetings while improving the togetherness of teams. I liked reading about the scientific reasoning/background for each category, and the many alternatives offered for each.

interesante técnicas para conectarte

La mayoría de estas técnicas son aplicables a estudiantes pero cuando tienes que facilitar reuniones con un grupo cuyos rangos varían entre 20-50 años no lo tiene buena aceptación
