Backstage Romance Vol 1
Four adorably hilarious romantic comedies with loads of sweet fun and a side of slow burn sizzle.
Prepare to laugh until you ugly snort with this delightfully funny collection.
♥ LOVE AND LOATHING
A spunky chorus girl. A hotshot movie star. An unforgettable stage kiss.
Beth Bennet can’t keep her mind off of Will Darcy—but only because he’s infuriatingly arrogant just like every other Hollywood type she’s known. It’s definitely not because he’s drop-dead gorgeous.
And since she swore to loathe him for all eternity, falling for him would be an extreme inconvenience.
Will Darcy is only doing this musical as a favor to a friend, and he certainly could do without the distraction from the sassy and spirited Beth Bennet—even if she invades his daydreams like an over-zealous photo bomber.
♥ SECRETS OF A HOLLYWOOD MATCHMAKER
Single Pringle never to mingle.
That’s the pact I have with my best friend who happens to be the sexiest man in Hollywood. But just because friends don’t kiss, it doesn’t mean we can’t pretend for the screen.
Pucker up, mate.
Sweet with a touch of heat, Secrets of a Hollywood Matchmaker is a laugh out loud, hysterical friends-to-lovers romance.
If you like simmering chemistry, clever and witty banter, heart-stopping kisses, and fast-paced humor, you’ll fall for Jaxson and Emma in this sweet rom com based on Jane Austen’s timeless classic, Emma.
♥ DRIVING MISS DARCY
3 days til Christmas, 2 unlikely traveling companions, 1 zippy little dog
Georgia Darcy never asked to be a movie star’s little sister but nothing will keep her from getting to her brother’s wedding on Christmas Day. Even if Mother Nature thwarts her traveling plans.
When all flights cancel, she's unexpectedly paired with a chronically unlucky rideshare and his overly cute dog, finding that turbulence isn’t exclusive to airplanes. Especially when it comes to her feelings.
Wyatt Silva, flat broke and fresh out of options, embarks on a detour road trip alongside delightfully sweet Georgia, who not only stumbles over his dog, but also into his heart.
Doomed with nutty disasters of ridiculous proportions, the cockeyed couple is forced to find creative means to trek it across the country. Will they find romance along the way or will a few secrets and a sleigh full of questions prevent them from jingling all the way home in time for the holidays?
Sleet, snow, and a Winnebago. It’ll take a Christmas miracle to navigate their stormy attraction to one another and reach Pemberley for Christmas.
♥ PITA MY HEART (ONLY AVAILABLE AS PART OF THIS SET)
Ingram was my schoolgirl crush. Now he’s my business rival.
When we’re locked inside a pita bread factory after hours, it’s knives out, and not the kind for spreading hummus.
If he thinks flashing that charming smile will make me fold, he’s got another thing coming. I am so prepared to give him a pita my mind… as long as he doesn’t take a pita my heart in the process.
Pita My Heart is a snack-sized romantic comedy found exclusively in the Backstage Romance box set.

I have read these books individually up to have them as a box set and with this new cover is a deal to good to miss.
I won’t leave a review for each just know they are all really good and you won’t be disappointed. Gigi has a way of writing that draws you in from that very first page and does not disappear. What with witty banter and fun filled moments, it’s never a dull moment when you read one if her books
A pitta my heart is a novella which is a really fun read.

Love found while being locked in
Love and Loathing

This was fantastic. It contained 3 of my favourite things. 1 a different spin on Elizabeth Bennett 2 stage production of Prirates of Penzance and 3 one liners from movies that will leave you giggling. This is so well written and will keep you turning pages to find out what’s going to happen next.
Secrets of a Hollywood matchmaker

It was sooo good
I’m not a huge fan of Emma (the Jane Austen book) but this twist on a classic is brilliant.
Emma and Jaxson are so good together, you can feel the chemistry of them just ooze off the page.
Jaxson is so swoony and hot, that I want to take him home (in a way you can....on the pages of this book). The things he does for Emma just make me swoon, he could read to me every night and I would be one happy camper, yes please!
You do not want to miss out on reading this fantastic romance, that oozes charm and witty banter and is just an all around great book. Go get your copy now.
I received this as a complimentary copy and I am giving my honest review voluntarily

Backstage Romance contains four fun romantic comedies by Gigi Blume.
Secrets of a Hollywood Matchmaker is a very well done adaptation of Austen's Emma. It manages to stay true to the innocence of the original while bringing the story into the 21st century. Jaxson's care of Emma is swoon worthy; he even reads to hear over the phone to help her fall asleep. Emma spends more than half of the book completely clueless about the objects of her matchmaking and her feelings for Jaxson.
The well written, sweet, funny, amazing Driving Miss Darcy grabbed me on page one. The characters, Georgia, Wyatt and Reese are extremely well portrayed. I am in awe of Ms. Blume's imagination. How did she think of all these strange things to happen to our couple?
In Pita My Heart, Ingram and Rosemary made me laugh out loud with their pita puns.
These are great escapist comedies and sweet romances.

thoroughly enjoyable Austen inspired books
I’ve previously read Love and Loathing and picked this up to have the whole set.
I enjoyed lol of the books/novellas in the box set, so know these next two points are not telling you not to read, just useful to know as you go in:
1. Two of the books are retellings of Austen: Pride and Prejudice and Emma. The others are romances of supporting characters from Pride and Prejudice. They’re all good, but it’s worth knowing as you go in.
2. I loved the Emma retelling, but felt like Emma was aware of her attraction for Jaxson Knightley sooner than she should have been for the Emma story. I still liked the book, it was just a distraction for me as I thought about the retelling.

Fun books!
I love these books! They are so fun. Basically Austen novels set in Hollywood. I'm not a huge Hollywood buff or anything (I've never watched an awards show), but I definitely enjoyed reading these books. There are a lot of references to plays and movies I didn't really get, but it didn't detract from the story at all. Blume is very good a writing interesting and engaging characters. It's fun to see how she brings in the Austen elements and twists them in fun ways. Highly recommend if you love both rom coms and Austen.

All the feels and then some!
This series was just a fantastic re-imagining of Austen's classics. Darcy, Bing, Knightley and all the ladies are just perfectly modernized. I loved the theater as the backdrop for their intertwined love stories. I'm looking forward to getting the book in the series.

Ended up skimming the first story and didn't bother with the others. It's a fanfiction AU of Pride and Prejudice one-note joke that goes on for 400 endless pages. The original is better and this one is too busy laughing at its own jokes to be enjoyable.

Funny, flirty and downright fun
This is a 10 star review. Honestly. Each was so unique. Tied together, but written as an individual entity. I loved the characters and their personalities. Absolutely refreshing and I’m so satisfied as a reader. Well done!!
