What wouldn't you do?A companion story to the Sunshine Walkingstick Series.
Celia Roman lives in the Southern Appalachians, surrounded by generations of family and myth. Her stories are inspired by a natural interest in the paranormal and too many late night reruns of Supernatural.
What a good but gutwrenching story! Now I will have to reread all of the Sunshine Walkingstick books. I love the atmosphere, the land, and the location of Sunshines world. It is set in the southern Appalachian mountains, which are steep, dark and brooding. The characters feel like long time friends.
Oh my such a good short story! This is the prequel that sets the tone for Sunshine Walkingstick's entire series! Personally I recommend that you read this book first. But as I'm already a fan I take the books as the author writes 'em!
I loved this book. But then, I love all of Celia Roman's books. I am grateful for this one as it filled in a lot of history. Her stories are always so rich and powerfully told.
I love this style, this world. It is such an authentic voice that i rarely hear so well portrayed. Lucky this is a series because I am desperate for more!
