A psychiatrist writing psychological and paranormal thrillers about the limits of the human mind.

Monique Gliozzi is a psychiatrist and author whose work focuses on how perception, memory, and belief can shift under pressure. Her stories explore what happens when people begin to question what they see, what they know, and even themselves.

With a background in psychiatry and an interest in forensic science, she writes suspense-driven fiction that looks at hidden motives, emotional strain, and the small decisions that lead to larger consequences. Her approach is grounded in observation rather than spectacle, with tension that builds gradually and stays with the reader.

Based in Perth, Monique divides her time between clinical work and writing. She has also trained as a commercial pilot and flight instructor, an experience that reflects her interest in discipline, control, and how both can be lost.

She is the author of best-selling books, including:

Foresight
Hunted
Vestige
Once Is Never Enough
Diversity: A Colourful Collection of Short Stories
Requital
Facets of the Past: No Dark Deed Goes Unpunished
The House of Gourmet: A Dangerous Game…
Hidden: When the Past Is Buried But Not Forgotten

Diversity is a book of short stories: vignettes of people’s lives. What I like is the fact that the stories are short. You can enjoy reading a story while waiting in line at the bus stop, the grocery or if you need a quick break. The stories vary in plot, characters, and intention. The stories in themselves are entertaining and resulting in a satisfying read. The characters are real, complex and relatable. My special favorite stories are Exposed and Twin. These days most do not have enough time to enjoy a good story. Ms. Gliozzi provides a means for satisfying your reading needs. If you know someone who isn’t an avid reader this book might get them hooked on reading.

Diversity is a collection of short stories from author Monique Gliozzi. Every single story is different and could be categorised into different genres which is absolutely fantastic. I felt that no one story was alike, some stories had similar things in them, but for the most part, every single story was different and I am totally here for it.

You never knew what you were going to get, or which way a story was going to go (bar one that I had worked out pretty much straight away but it was still a really awesome story) which I absolutely loved because you went into the story with that beautiful anticipation of "what's it going to be this time?". From romance, to betrayal, to ghosts, to conquering ones fears, this collection has everything. It really gave me that slice of life feel which I quite enjoy.

I also feel that this collection really shows the diversity that Gliozzi is capable of as well as showing her ability in her craft. Each story was a matter of pages yet Gliozzi managed to ensnare you from the get go with every single one, keeping the stories succinct and to the point without foregoing any important details needed to make you feel for the characters. It takes a lot of skill to be able to endear a character to a reader, especially when you don't have many pages to do it in, yet Gliozze did it time and time again.

There's not too much more I can say about this collection as I don't want to go into the stories themselves, I feel like part of the fun is experiencing them blind, not knowing what kind of story you are going to get. All I can say is, I highly recommend this collection, and I sincerely hope that Gliozzi will be doing another one!

I am nee to this author and am so glad I was introduced to her writing. This book is a collection of short stories, and instead of all having a similar genre, there is a little bit of everything. I wasn’t sure, originally, how such a diverse collection would read together, but I was pleasantly surprised with just how wonderful this collection was.

I was captivated by the stories, from start to finish and thoroughly enjoyed each one. They were each written very well, had great substance and detail, and were very interesting.

Overall, not only did each story flow well, but the book flowed well as a whole. It is nice to have wee stories you can read each evening, and then have a stopping point to pick up from, for your next night. I was very impressed and definitely recommend this collection!

Short stories are not often my thing. I think they usually lack substance. But these stories were really and truly different. Whole stories of all types. Some romance, some spooky stories, an action story. All kinds. This is an enjoyable book for those times you only have a few minutes to read. Each story is well-written and the book has a little bit of something for everyone.

A Fabulous Collection of short stories in different genres. These stories are ALL well developed plot lines and have unique and reliable characters. The Author certainly knows how to capture her readers. It can not be easy writing short interesting stories in just a few paragraphs but somehow the author manages to achieve this as I was hooked from the first page on.

This is a great book to read if your not in the mood for a full length novel or if your waiting at the Drs. Office or Grocery Store.

I won this in a Goodreads giveaway and even though I’m under no obligation to review I do know that many authors rely on our honest opinion whether it be constructive criticism or just to drop them a note to tell them how much you enjoyed their book. Reviews are important to authors and to readers alike. I know when I am considering a new book to buy the first thing I do is to read the blurb. Actually sometimes the Cover of the book is the first thing that may captures my interest but doesn’t convince me to take a chance on reading it. I like to read reviews to get a feel of other readers take on the story. Usually if there are many reviews I consider it a good sign although it’s the Blurb that definitely determines the initial buy.

I would recommend this book to high school age to adult. I guarantee You will not be dissapointed.

Diversity is a collection of short stories that has a little bit of everything to offer. It has love in all different shapes and sizes. It has loss and acceptance. It has life and death. It has love and betrayal. It has mystery and suspense.

Each story is unique in its own way bringing with it a unique set of characters. Each story pulls you in from the beginning and keeps you hanging on, story after story.

Once you pick up Diversity and read that first page you are lost in its world. You will not be able to come up for air until the last story is read. The more you read, the more you want. It's like an addiction.

Diversity has a way of pulling you in and not wanting to let go as each story is revealed letting out its secrets with each turn of the page going from one corner of the world to the next.

The stories in Diversity are not all from the same genre. You never know from one story to the next what to expect or where it is going to take you.

There are a few stories that stick out in my mind. From a very unique proposal to a man’s obsession with a mask to a man on vacation in Hawaii that is way smarter than his partner assumed and turned the tables on him to an accident where a wife is trying to save her husband plus so many more…

Pick up your copy of Diversity today to begin all these unique stories today!

Two former lovers may get a second chance after a cooking fire incident. A honeymoon at an inn has eternal consequences. A skydiving experience opens up an opportunity for more adventure. During the 2020 pandemic, a hypochondriac and germaphobe loses his only mask he had left. A sister-sister encounter during the holiday.

Lovely and well-written short tales. Each one has its special air of mystery. An easy and well-worth read.
