It was ok, but I don't think I'll continue with the next books.
I would have liked if the full story was told in one longer book rather than having is spread out like this.

I didn’t realise this was a series following the same couple, and i would’ve preferred if everything was in one longer book than split up like this. Initially it was going to be 4 stars because it was a fun & quick read, but when i realised it was going to end on a cliffhanger, i dropped my rating because the characters weren’t up to par with what i expected out of an actual series. I may continue on, but I’m not in love with our characters. Ellie is awesome, but Luke is pretty meh.

Ellie was such a smart, funny, loveable girl, wiggling her way into my heart right from the first chapter. I was rolling in the isles as one thing after another seemed to go wrong for her. Murphy's law was following her everywhere she went, leaving havoc in its wake and it was hard not to laugh out loud when it did.
As the wedding festivities get underway, her fellow bachelorettes decide she needs to let loose, find herself a memorable one night man and check off that box once and for all. Spoiler alert, she does and what a hot, irresistible, hunk he was! BUT- what if 'that thing' that happens in Vegas comes back to bite you like you've never been bitten before? Awkward irony at it's best is what she finds as Ellie gets the kind of shock the 'sweet' little sister/ maid of honor doesn't want while trying to fly under the radar and pretend nothing is wrong!
This new series gets off to hilarious start with new characters I wanted to know everything about and some I might love to hate. The highlights include Ellie's older brother's sexy, 'off limits' football player friends, crazy coincidences lining up and plenty of sizzling, swoony, playful chemistry that just shouldn't be!
Home Game's jaw dropping ending includes a whopper of a cliffy, but no worries here!!! I am dying to find out what Ellie has gotten herself into and how she and her 'roommate' will figure it all out. This book was a blast and I'm excited to see what happens next for her!

She isn’t keen on living with the newlyweds so her brother finds her a room as his best mate’s place across the street.
On the night of the bridal party celebrations before the wedding, Ellie discloses to the girls that she has never had a one night stand. This now turns into a mission - get Ellie laid. When Ellie’s eyes and on the hottest guy she has ever seen, she thinks she may have found the perfect guy to help her mission succeed. Luke is more than willing to help out a damsel in distress.

Definitely an extra start to something that promises an extremely fun and exciting ride in the world of football and sibling relationships. And when I say extra, I really mean extra .... the touchdown on the first page is what will have you hooked from the beginning.
But the funny part quickly ends and real chaos begins. Double trouble. Being dumped by your boyfriend and losing your job at the same time is once-in-a-lifetime thing, something that can crush you, but not our heroine.... She has a really nice solution- pack your bags and fresh start somewhere else. What more? Lots of alcohol and fun, but sometimes fate has its own plans that do not agree with the plans of our heroine Ellie Nolan. As much as she wants, she can not escape from her mystery man, who was supposed to be just one-time only. Chemistry and attractiveness are culminating, but the rules have changed now. How long can her determination and his steadfastness endure when they find themselves alone between four walls?
Definitely, a story that stands out from the previous stories of this talented author, but at the same time keeps all those elements that make us persistently and impatiently wait for all her books. Interesting moments, even more interesting dialogues and a lot ... a lot of chemistry that will make you laugh out loud. You will swallow this sweet and short book in one breath. The good thing is: this is only the first of the series. Ellie and Luke are characters who will definitely be remembered for their perfect imperfection and the chemistry that simply flows from the pages when the two are together. She, as a brave and modern girl, who is not afraid to reach for what she wants. He, as a loyal guy who simply always chose the wrong step in love.

I was pretty excited when Lisa announced this new series. A sports romance and brother’s bff to love, sign me the right up!
The beginning of this book had me cracking up. What a way to start a book and meet a character ahah. Lisa sure knows how to grab our attention. After that initial scene seeing our heroine’s life blow up and then having her brother convince her to move to Vegas to be closer to him and have her room with his best friend, well I was super excited!
Ellie finds out she is the only one of her best friend’s group of friends who has never had a one night stand so on the night of her bff’s, her brother’s fiancé, bachelorette party she decides to change that. And when the perfect candidate shows up, she doesn’t look back!
Ellie and Luke share an instant spark and their chemistry is unbelievable. It was fun to see these two find out that their one night stand would never be just that. With each interaction they had, it became a funnier. They find themselves in quite the predicament.
Living together while they are so attracted to each other, fighting off their attraction because Ellie is Luke’s best friend’s little sister and he can never know she is the woman he had a one night stand with on the night of his bachelor’s party. And Luke has quite the past with woman. When one of his exs shows up to cause trouble for him, what comes out of his mouth to keep her away surprises them all. It’s gonna be fun to see how they will play that out! I can’t wait to read the next book!

A Need to Read Sports Romance!!
I am used to getting great rock romances from this author and now she’s starting a new series of football players that has me loving yet another genre from her. This book was so funny at times that it turned into one of those laugh out loud books.
After Ellie gets fired and dumped in one day (oh, wait ‘til you read this part…LOL) her brother convinces her to move to Vegas where he is an all-star receiver and is ready to get married to Ellie’s longtime friend Nicki. Josh has the great idea that Ellie can move into his teammate and best friend’s home across the street until she finds a job and a place to live. Luke is also best man at the wedding compared to Ellie’s maid of honor role.
Ellie is out to change her life and her first move it to take on the dare that the rest of the bachelorettes have given her since she is the only one who has not ever done this…have a one night stand. She sees a guy at the club and its instant chemistry and so very worth it.
This book was so refreshing and its one that I read in one sitting because it was so good. Yes, it ends in a great cliffhanger but Ms. Suzanne doesn’t have you waiting long for the next installment. Loved it!!

Oh Ellie...only you could get fired and dumped after that!!! That was one of those "heat of the moment" deals.
But after that it's only got to get better right. Your brother and your bestie ask you to move to Vegas, after that beginning what does she have to lose?
Never ever has she had one night stand and of course the dreamy man who catches her eye and heat level proves that fate knows what it's doing. Luke and her are about to get deep into the drama. Then that monster of a cliff just dropped my jaw....I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!! I will chew my nails down to the knuckles. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

A new series for Lisa this time it’s not rockstars it’s football players!!
I loved it! I loved Ellie and Luke.
It starts with Ellie losing her job in a rather dramatic way. She picks up and moves to Las Vegas where her brother (a pro football player) and her best friend (soon to be sister in law) live.
Ellie has a one night stand with a handsome man and he ends up being the best man and her brothers best friend.
What can go wrong?

I opened this book with great trepidation (we all know Lisa can write hockey but can she write football?) and I was instantly stuck in the book until it was finished. I instantly fell in love with Ellie and her out take on life (I mean who else takes losing her job and the guy in the same day on their stride) and Luke, well I was needing a new book boyfriend.
I cannot wait to see where their relationship leads....

Authors pls stop doing this lol
Ok here me out - I loved this. Loved this so much. But I’m so mad the author could not have made all 5 of her books into one whole full length novels. This was a really quick and GOOD read but it’s so unnecessary that this author made this entire story into 5 separate parts when I would’ve appreciated it to be one full length novel. Defintely going to read the rest but going to be very annoyed how it’s broken up.

This book is such a tease and I love it!!!! It was a super fast read and I could not put it down.
First of all, Ellie is my favorite. She's a mess through and through and I adore her. Whether it's getting fired seconds after having an orgasm or falling into the pool at her brother's wedding, she's guaranteed to keep you entertained.
So, of course Ellie's one night stand ends up being her brother's best friend, and her new roommate. I love how she's so into him but he's like, "no, no, that happened, but it won't happen again because I don't believe in love anymore." Luke puts off this air of being cold but he's actually super soft and I love him.
Stuff really hits the fan towards the end and I cannot wait to read the second book. While this book does end in a cliffhanger, the second book will be out the same day so you won't have to wait to keep reading about Luke and Chloe.

I absolutely loved this book! The story starts off with a literal bang that ends in a firing whimper, but Ellie takes it all in stride (because honestly, was there any other choice) and takes up her brother's offer about Vegas. Things heat up during her soon to be sister-in-law's bachelorette party, and get even wilder when Ellie meets her new roommate, since she's already met him under much sexier circumstances. The chemistry between them is pretty hot, the dialogue is hilarious, snarky and sexy. The story moves at a good pace and flows well, the secondary characters help round out the story, and while it ends on a cliffhanger, luckily we don't have long to wait for the next book.

Home Game is the first book in a new football series by Lisa Suzanne. This was a quick read with the funny times and the sexy times between Luke and Ellie. From the very beginning I was hooked wanting to know how Ellie was pick herself up, so to speak, after the opening chapter. But she is a girl with grit and does not let herself stay down. Both she and Luke have a chemistry that I think is just waiting to explode but only the future books will tell! Can't wait for the next book!

Ohhh I love a good marriage of convenience . And this story is cooking up to be a good one.
Diving into book 2 at a rapid pace.
I love a quirky girl and sexy confident athlete combo. Ellie is a adorable not OTT young woman who has occasional bad luck follow her without being annoying. Hot Luke - hmm first you think hot - then jerk - then hot -then ???
Ellie comes into the story all brash bravado but as the story builds you find an inkling emerge she has a heart bigger than the lust she feels. Hot Luke? He is a mystery I cant wait to learn more.

Ellie is such a clutz, and it makes me love her even more. She is a woman that knows what she wants, even when she shouldn't. Luke so far is not the typical football player, he has been burnt hard in the past and is weary of new beginnings. Ms. Suzanne has started a new football series. This first book is funny at times, romantic, and full of surprises. I loved how close Ellie and her brotherJosh are, and he is marrying her best friend Nicki. Josh plays football for the Vegas Aces so the wedding is being held in Las Vegas. I loved that Josh wanted his sister around and talked her into moving to Las Vegas. Since she just lost her job in Chicago (that is an embarrassing moment), Ellie figures she has nothing to lose. It gets even better when Josh tells her she can stay with his teammate that lives right across the street until she can find a job. There are so many things that happen to Ellie as she had weird luck. There are a few things that I laughed out loud. Josh’s friend Luke that Ellie is staying with has a great body and is so handsome. I feel bad for Luke as I can tell he had bad luck in the past with women. There is a surprise at the end. I can’t wait for the next book to see what is going to happen next! I strongly encourage you read the book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

"I cannot stress how much I detest cliffhangers. I have probably missed out on some incredible books because of this hatred. So imagine my surprise when I started reading this book that it then came to my knowledge that this isn’t a series based on different players but a continuation of the same couple. But that’s my fault - when I see “Sports Romance” I only see something sparkly and my hands go all grabby and I just have to have it now!!!
Well my surprise turned into one of the best surprises because this first book for Luke and Ellie is outstanding and has me hooked. The cliffy at the end isn’t too much of the shocking variety but luckily for me I have book 2 on my kindle ready for devouring right now.

What a great entree to a new series. This story was quirky, funny with a lot of HOT! Ellie gets herself into the craziest situations but takes it all in stride. A one-night stand turns out to be her brother's teammate and best man,oh and her new housemate. Luke has been hurt in the past and is jaded on love, but that doesn't mean the lust portion has to take a back seat. Luke and Ellie smolder from the first glance. Quickly, they find themselves in a tenuous situation that will either work or blow up in their faces. This is a fast moving story that will make you laugh, cringe right along with the characters, and have you believing in prince charming. I can't wait to see what happens next in Long Game. #vegasacesfan ~Cindy

Sexy Ellie and Hot Luke sure brought the heat in Home Game, the first book in the Vegas Aces series from Lisa Suzanne! I LOVED them so much!!
Ellie has just lost her job and boyfriend on the same day......so when she heads to Vegas for her brother and best friend's wedding, she decides to live a little and have her first one-night stand. And wow -that was one awesome night they shared together. Their chemistry was off the charts and I just wanted more and more and more of them together! But Mr. One Night Stand turns out to be Ellie's brother's teammate and best friend.......AND the guy she will be living with while staying in Vegas. Of course that complicates things, even though both of them are crazy attracted to one another.
But that ending.....Lisa, what are you doing to me??? Thank goodness there isn't a huge wait between books, because I really need to know what happens next!!!

The story is five books in total. First four books end on cliffhangers. Kindle Unlimited had all five books rolled into one and that’s what I read. It started out good in the beginning but it got progressively worse. I found myself skimming a lot of the book because the story just kept dragging and the characters were annoying.

Home Game is a perfect book. This book sucks you into the pages when you first open it. When I first got this book I couldn't wait to begin reading it but as I continued reading it I didn't want it to end. Ellie has been fired from her job and dumped by her boyfriend on the same day. Her brother convinces her to move to Vegas since that's where he's living. Her brother Josh is a professional football player for the Vegas Aces and is getting married in a couple of days. Ellie begins to pack her things for the wedding and in order to move. When she arrives in Vegas her brother lets her know his best friend has agreed to let her stay with him until she finds a place of her own. During the bachelorette party, she lets it out that she's never had a one night stand. All the other women take it upon them to find her someone to have a one night stand with. As the night continues Ellie begins to talk to a man that without a doubt is the hottest man she's ever seen. She can't believe that he wants to talk to her when there's a club full of women that he could pick. He agrees to be her one-night stand. The next day Ellie has to get ready for the wedding rehearsal. What she isn't expecting is to see her one night stand at the wedding rehearsal and to find out that he is her brother's best friend. To make things weirder he's the friend who agreed to let her stay at his house. Ellie begins to imagine a HEA with him even though he keeps telling her he doesn't want to ever marry again. How are these two going to work as roommates and not let it slip that they've slept with each other? I received a free copy of this book and reviewed voluntarily.

This is a series of five short books -- each ending on a cliffy until the fifth where readers score with an ending that completes the series. I wasn't aware of the short and cliffy presentation until I got into the series. The fun and games and characters made me stick around. Yes, it was a bit frustrating and even annoying but it is what it is and I was completely taken in by the characters and storyline. So, I'm not going to grumble much. I needed something light and fun and that's just what I found even with a bit of angst. What would a romance be without a little angst? And I also am a major fan of sports-related romance and football especially.
This series started in March and finished the middle of April so wasn't a bad wait in between books. These five books featured Luke Dalton and Ellie Nolan. Luke's older brother Jack Dalton will be the featured quarterback in Season 2 of the Vegas Aces -The Quarterback series. I've already read it and was completely pulled into Jack's story as well.
Overall, fun to read and a break from heavier reads I've found myself addicted to lately. One review for all five of these books.

Ellie and Luke are so much fun! From the very start, I was invested in Ellie and everything she was going through.
I will say that I do wish I had Luke’s POV because I feel like I’m missing it… but it’s a personal preference and doesn’t take away from the story by not having it in.
It also ends in cliffhanger - so be sure to read these in order ;-)

This is a new series for Lisa and it's about football players. I loved Sexy Ellie and Hot Luke (the names they called each other the first night they met). Ellie is just so cute even though she is quite the klutz ... there's never a dull moment when she's around. And Luke ... who wouldn't love a hunky football player? Even though Luke is in the public eye, he's a very private person with lots of secrets. And there is a cliff-hanger that had my jaw drop to the floor! I can't wait for the next book.
After Ellie loses her job and boyfriend in the same day, she decides to move to Las Vegas ... where her brother plays for the Vegas Aces Football team. Her first night there, to help forget her troubles, she has a one-night stand with a hot guy ... not realizing he's her brother's best friend and teammate. I was so excited when Lisa announced this new series. What a fabulous combination of sports romance and brother’s best friend! Home Game gets off to a fantastic start in this brand new series. Funny, sexy and full of surprises.
I instantly fell in love with Ellie and Luke, and their blossoming love story. These two have some crazy chemistry, and I can already tell that this is going to be be an amazing series. Home Game is only the beginning of this love story, and it left me reeling with that ending. This story was sexy, entertaining and captivating. I can't wait to read the next book!
