** So Tempting is a prequel to Tempt Me Twice. This is not your typical romance novel, but it’s fun, steamy, and has an unconventional bittersweet happily ever after. You’ve been warned. Happy reading. **

Tawny is funny and has no filter and things just slip out of her mouth. She is attracted to her boss, Cormac Fallon who is older and very serious. She was so funny trying to get him to lighten up at times. The two’s experience with a couple of grizzlies was kind of funny. I was glad to see Tawny get away for a long weekend away with her extended family. I can’t imagine what Tawny thought when she saw one of the handsomest guys she had ever seen at the lake with her family. I knew Tawny was in trouble when the hottie, Elliot, was attracted to Tawny. Unfortunately I can’t find out what happens until the next book. But this gives me something to look forward to. I encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
I am a fan of author Jody Kessler’s writing and her latest effort, So Tempting, is worthy of her
It is also worthy of a review; it’s a good tale, and she tells it well.
Tawny Brooks is a young Ranger with the National Forestry Service who falls in love with her boss. Complications ensue.
Cormac Fallon is older, a Veteran, and at once experienced in the ways of the world and more than a little naïve in the ways of women. But is a hottie.
The two take off on an afternoon tree-counting excursion in the huge forest they call home. They have a chance encounter with a pair of bears – who fortunately are more interested in each other than in the interlopers – and they watch nature take its course. Heats things up for bear and human.
Then Tawny slips, slides into a briarpatch and gets a buttful of thorns. She can’t get them all out by herself, and he can’t either, so they decide to go to his cabin (which is closer than the ranger station) for more plucking. See “nature takes its course,” above.
Then things get really complicated. In addition to the older-younger, boss-employee dilemmas, Tawny takes a long weekend getaway to go camping with her sister/confidant, her family, some other kinfolk, a few friends, and a young Adonis named Elliott, who throws another kink into her complicated life.
Long story short, they share a lot of beer, tequila and eventually, her tent. But not her sleeping bag. (Cue up Mary McGregor: “Torrrn Between Twooo Lovers…”)
I’m not good enough at telling you more without spoiling the book, so I won’t. Suffice it to say it gets complicated.
But Kessler weaves her magic with words into a hang-on-to-the-last-page coda that will surprise you.
Tawny Brooks is a forest ranger and takes her job very seriously, but she is a general goofball. She is spontaneous and this has caused a lot of problems in the past, but nothing like flirting with her boss, District Ranger Cormac Fallon, to prove that they both deserve to have fun. Cormac is much older than Tawny and when he decides to let his guard down, things get really hot and fun between them, but they agree on nothing serious. When she goes camping with her family, Tawny meets Elliot, a beautiful and perfect guy in every way, and they understand each other perfectly, but she starts to wonder about her feelings for Cormac. When both come back to reality, her discovery of Elliot and Cormac's connection will change the course of her life and work forever. I loved the story and the characters, I'm already anxious to read the next book in this series.
Tawny is a fun loving spontaneous and no filter on her mouth forest ranger. She can get men to open up and has a fun time doing it. Cormac is the District Ranger that is older and goodlooking and her new boss. He’s work driven and closes himself off from others. She thinks he needs to lighten up and tries to do this but he ends up having to rescue her. She likes him and tries flirting. She goes on a camping trip and meets Elliot a handsome Marine and decides to have a fun weekend with him. She later learns that he knows Cormac and know this will affect what she feels about her boss. But she likes them both but who will she go after? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I received an arc and the views and opinions are my own. This was a fun read with a twist. Tawny falls for an older man who happens to be her boss, she loves teasing him and some very funny things happen. I love the way her mind works and the words that come out of her mouth. She then meets a younger man and has feelings for him only to discover he is related to her boss. Now she must decide what to do. I really liked what she put into a piñata, funny! This doesn’t end the way you would think and I truly enjoyed this book. I would recommend this book to all over 18.
This is a fun read about Tawny, she's an interesting character, who is funny and finds herself having to choose between her boss, Cormac Fallon, he's older and very serious whom she's always trying to get to lighten up! Then there's Elliot, a younger handsome guy whom she has some fun with one weekend but who is related to Cormac. Unfortunately, we have to wait for the next book to find out what happens.
