Quick easy read. Very insightful! Did feel a bit self promoting. Almost every chapter had a reference to a resource he offered on his website.

Don't let this prevent you from reading it. I still recommend it.

BOOK REVIEW 📚

"Decade by Decade: Life is Surprisingly Predictable – Maximizing Every Phase of Your Life" by Bobb Biehl is a concise self-help book that aims to demystify the journey of life by breaking it down into predictable patterns that unfold in each decade. The book is designed to help readers understand what typically develops during each ten-year span, offering guidance on how to maximize personal growth and fulfillment at every stage.

The book provides a structured overview of the key markers and expected developments in each decade of life, which many readers find both wise and thought-provoking.Biehl encourages readers to appreciate and fully experience each phase of life, helping to cultivate a healthy mental perspective and a sense of anticipation for what lies ahead.

"Decade by Decade" is well-suited for those seeking a general roadmap for navigating life's transitions, especially readers who appreciate a concise, encouraging approach. It is particularly helpful for individuals who like to reflect on their life’s trajectory and plan for the future, though those seeking in-depth analysis or more tailored advice for diverse life circumstances may find it lacking.

Overall Bobb Biehl’s "Decade by Decade" offers a wise, if brief, guide to the predictable patterns of life’s journey. Its greatest value lies in its encouragement to savor each decade and its practical, accessible wisdom. However, readers looking for more depth or inclusivity may find it somewhat limited. Despite these shortcomings, it remains a recommended read for those interested in personal growth and lifelong planning.

I liked this book and thought it was very good, very wise. I wish there were more for singles and for women...and especially single women. Both who have children and those who do not. Some things would be the the same but there's also MANY differences that I think should be highlighted.

It is short and concise and covers more and than just the business world, but I wish there was even more. What is there is very wise.

It’s been a long time since I read an entire book in one sitting, but I couldn’t put this one down. If you want to compassionately understand adults in other stages of life, this is a great tool. It’s brief but pithy, with lots of wise ideas. Although primarily directed towards leaders, it’s applicable to all adults. I plan to keep my copy handy and gift it to others.

Bobb Biehl writes a cool thought provoking book, capturing the idea of what we ought to think about and do in each decade of our lives, as well as take a step back and remember to soak in every moment. Given to me by a friend, and I highly suggest it!

I will be revisiting it every decade

A surface level self-help that touches on some useful topics with regrettable brevity. Perhaps some of the repeated pitches for his other books could have been replaced with some meat on the bone.
