Better than you

Rate this book
Logan Pierce and Noah Locke are sworn enemies. Both at the top of their class, holding themselves to the highest standards; both captains of their volleyball teams, Logan as the girls captain, Noah as the boys; and both constantly playing seemingly harmless pranks to get back at one another. Or, at least, they're usually harmless...

If one thing is true, Noah Locke and Logan Pierce are not friends.

But does that mean they could never be friends? Or transcend their title as enemies?

Logan might take things too far sometimes, but there's a reason behind the angry front she puts on, and in order to get behind it, someone needs to show her that there's more to life than being the best at everything.

Cue Noah Locke.

When the two volleyball teams are sent away to a team bonding camp for a week over Fall break, Logan and Noah must learn to get along for the sake of their teams. Partnered up and made to do activities together and bond, the goal is for Noah and Logan to stop this ongoing feud. And when something happens at the bonding camp that brings Logan's vulnerable side up to bat, Noah is the one who has to bring her back.

While Logan and Noah explore something other than hatred for one another, there are secrets and people who could be working in toll to bring them apart. But will they be able to transcend those factors and stop fighting for once? Or were they destined to be enemies forever?

"Better Than You" challenges the idea that enemies have to stay enemies forever, and proves that if you don't run away from love, you may just find where you were meant to be.

5⭐️ This. This was the first enemies to lovers book I had ever read in my entire life. Basically, it started my book obsession with enemies to lovers…SPECIFICALLY ACADEMIC ENEMIES TO LOVERS. It’s one of my favorite trope and Logan and Noah absolutely have my wattpad heart. I smiled and laughed and giggled and cried and basically just went on a whole emotional rollercoaster reading this. The sign of a great book.

It is the high school romance of a fiery girl and a chill guy who have sworn enemies and a week of team bonding camp held to make them civil to each other. So, a lot of drama is promised with the ride of enemies to lovers that make you laugh, cry, and fall in love with this book. I absolutely love this book.

this was such a good enemies-to-lovers high school romance where the two characters were ACTUALLY enemies!! noah is so perfect, logan is so strong, amelia is who i want to be when i grow up (even though she’s six), porkchop is a legend, and the grigio family are icons. i think that’s all i needed to say 😌

I really wanted to like this book like it’s academic rivals to lovers, but to be rivals both people need to win at times. I felt that Noah was constantly winning and so was Logan at the beginning, but once they got together all we saw was Noah winning and Logan losing. To add on to this Logan was having a midlife crisis about everything she had ever worked for (uni, scholarships, volleyball) in the last 10 chapters. Like miss girl kept talking about going to Princeton and getting an academic scholarship and playing on the volleyball team… all for her to end up saying she hates everything like what???

Enemies To Lovers, i think, is one of the best tropes out there. Adding in Academic Rivals. I really enjoyed the relationship's development and I really appreciate the fact you can tell time and thought was placed into this story. I definitely recommend.

Better than you is a heart-warming and fun story that tells us about Noah and Logan, who were academic rivals until they were sent to camp and wanted to start over. I love every moments of them, and how they develop into something more.

In my opinion, academic rivals revolve around their competitive sides, but this revolves more around them pulling pranks (eg, dumping milkshake, throwing him in the swimming pool, etc). I was a little disappointed ngl but I still got attached to them.

The author did a great job at portraying Logan's character, where she deals with her anger issues and family problems. Her sister was the smart one until she left to do drugs with her boyfriend. She tries so hard to become the perfect student her parents wanted her to be. All she wanted was to pursue her dreams and be free from the pressure that got put on her.

Noah's speech to everyone that got inspired by her made my heart melt :')

“I’m better than you, Logan Pierce.”

This was the very first WattPad book, I’ve ever read and I definitely don’t regret it. Noah and Logan are so cute and I could really connect with Logan. It’s an enemies to lovers and they were so perfect for each other, since they complemented each other in the best way possible.
An absolute must-read!
