River issues a 24 hour evacuation notice for Athens, but Emmett Brown is 12 hours away at the Long Lake Camp when the text comes in.
While preparing for the long ride home, Emmett is interrupted by the arrival of his old mentor, One—a New Texas Knight and former Navy SEAL. But with the Knights implicated in River’s disappearance, Emmett has to determine whether One in an old friend or a new enemy.
In New Texas, River’s MIA status threatens international stability, leading Secretary of State Aiden Stone to join the military unit dispatched to the old McChord AFB in Tacoma, WA. While there, he reveals a shocking discovery: River Kingston might actually be Eryn Stone, Aidan’s younger sister, who went missing after the Camp Winslow massacre five years ago.
Unfortunately, River’s village isn’t the only settlement remaining in the Seattle-Tacoma area; Whidbey Island is still around, and they don’t take kindly to trespassers.
The heart-stopping finale in the Stone World Saga is here. It's perfect for fans of World War Z, Fallout, and Mockingjay.
Books #1-3 are on Audible Plus. #1 will be leaving the Plus Catalog on 2/22/22.
I read the books, because Bronson Pinchot is the narrator. I like the way the story centers around a large family. There are too many plot holes to make it a great story. It is fairly entertaining as a character driven series. If the other books end up on Audible Plus, I would listen to them.
I don't know if the author just needs a proofreader or is deliberately misusing words for her own reasons. I consider that only because one of the characters in the novel does just that. But, it seems more likely to be ignorance or carelessness. A good proof reader would be helpful. Some missed words noted were stock and stocked used where the reader would expect stalk or stalked. Also confused were pressed for pressure, and most annoying parameter for perimeter.
That's kind of petty, but the first 8 to 10 chapters were taken from the last chapters of the first novel in the series. It is insulting to the reader that the author seems to think we would have forgotten how the first book ended. I had to wonder if she finished the book and realized it was way too short so she just plopped in those chapters from before?
A good multi ebook story of the ramifications of zombies, without zombies being the major threat. Instead its competing post apocalypse governments. But the main focus is several groups of people in various locations, living and mostly thriving in a tumultuous new world.
I enjoyed all three books was a little disappointed that their pronunciation of cities in Washington was not correct but still enjoyed the books and hoping for more
The dynamic characters in this book have truly touched my heart! This is a real rollercoaster ride that left me wanting more! Can’t wait to read the next one!
