Zoned For Pleasure: His Hunting Ground

Rate this book
The only thing that made Dottie's client less dangerous than the man facing her was that the client was an ordinary citizen, subject to stern punishment if he broke the rules. The same did not apply to regulators. As agents of Elites, they lived by their own set of rules.

Confronted by two powerful men, Dottie soon learns that her client is no ordinary man.

He has strengths and abilities that no ordinary humans possess.

He has no sexual inhibitions & ordinary females like Dottie are his playthings.

This standalone Paranormal Romance / Erotica book contains explicit sexual content. Intended for an adult 18+ audience.

4 stars for the world building but I was unable to connect with the characters because their actions didn't match their words.

Decent read

The story was hard to get into but once I got further into the book, it got better. Overall good read.

Absolutely EXCELLENT 😁

Ooooo, what a AWESOME story 😃. All the yummy things you want in a futuristic romance 😋. LOTS of everything that you could think of. Rules, elitists, alphas, sexy females and fantastic sex 😍. Thanks Elyse, I sure hope you plan on writing more with this theme 😉.

Steamy and erotic

A little too steamy for me but I am sure others will like it for that. I did like the overall storyline and understand why Dottie did what she did to survive. The pods were a very interesting idea and I liked and understood the system of hierarchy between the people. The ending did kind of leave us asking for a sequel.

I feel a little embarrassed! I took the name of the book literally, and decided that this dystopia was based on, like, building codes and zoning, which is something I get very excited about in dystopias. It very much is not! Or there are zones, etc, but I don't see that any thought has been given to easements or building capacity or whatever. This is fine! Not everything has to be about my needs!

That said, basically every dude point of view character in this book is a rapist. I don't need to hear their thoughts! I don't care what rapists think! The two dudes who do things like not blackmail sex workers into rape are characterized as wimps and people pleasers, with a healthy dose of fatphobia to make sure the reader really understands we should hold them in contempt. This is not my jam! So I didn't finish.

If you do want to read a dystopia that cares about building codes and has an intense sexually-charged relationship at its center, try Sunshine.

No just no

How this even got stars is beyond me. Sex worker...... Elites.......highly unfaithful elites..... Unfaithful everyone.... This book was nothing but sex . writer tried to give a plot of elites running the world using humans to work and then basically rent from the elites and then pay the elites sex workers . everything revolved around sex. Not one character felt an intense pull to any one person . not even harem Style ..nope sex free for all. ! Main female character was basically blackmailed and to me that's not just cohesion ..it's not just non consent not even dubious consent..its rape so if I could have given no stars I'd have done that.

DNF @ 67%. This was just too much for me. The idea of the world was kind of interesting, but it felt like just a backdrop to create an excuse for this world where everyone is manipulated and coerced in some way into sex work. I wasn't connecting with anyone of the characters or enjoying it at all. While I like dark books, I typically need something to connect to, and there was nothing here for me to balance a bunch of POVs of what were at their core rapists. I was trying to stick through it, but I eventually decided I didn't think the pay off would be worth it, and now I kind of wish I had DNFed earlier.

Very steamy read

This is a sexually charged and very dominant society of elite people who use there power and prowess to their advantage against ordinary citizens who are just trying to survive. The characters are likable and their chemistries are smexy as sin! A nice bed time read and a good recommend

Distopian Erotica

An interesting take on a standard plot. The set up is similar to Hunger Games, the activities more in line with 50 Shades. While the main character is a messy contradiction, the males are strangely undesirable as well. Definitely shines a light on the culture and stereotypes around sex workers. Needs a thorough edit, but engaging read.
