Stolen moments with Seth aren't enough. If he can't run from his jealous, jilted boss, we'll fight him together.
From the second I trip over my own feet and fall into Seth's lap, his touch is electric. When he kisses me at the top of the Ferris wheel, I'm done daydreaming about my ex-boyfriend turned best friend, Aiden. Seth is a muscular mystery I'm dying to solve. I know he wants to explore every part of me, too, but there's someone standing in the way.
Seth can smile with me. He can laugh, cry, feel. When we're together, nothing else matters but the heat between us. The walls around his heart are to protect us both, but I'm more than soft and sweet. I can be dangerous, especially if it means fighting to free Seth from living under Nik's manipulative thumb.
It's a whirlwind romance, and I'm throwing myself into the storm.
Fighting for Love is a low-angst contemporary M/M instalove romance. Opposites attract, bringing together a daydreamy twink and mysterious muscle boy in swoony, steamy ways before a guaranteed HEA. It is suggested this series be read in order.
Noah Steele is a gay author based in Toronto, Canada. His books are low angst, dreamy, steamy reads starring queer characters getting the happy endings they deserve. Queerness is strength, and the men at the heart of his books embody that strength without experiencing queerness as a roadblock to happiness.
Like Noah, they're figuring themselves out and thriving in their whirlwind romantic adventures! When he's not writing, Noah is an avid video gamer and gym-goer.
I fell for Ollie in book one, so when I realized book two followed him on his own much deserved journey to HEA, I was stoked. Oliver was one of those characters that really sticks with you. He’s an amazing best friend to Aiden, and just overall a wonderful and adorable human.
The danger in this book really kept me yearning for that HEA. Steele did a great job of balancing the tension with the romance. He kept the story moving at an enjoyable pace while never letting the reader forget how much they really, really wanted Seth and Oliver together.
3.5 stars A story with sweetness and ugliness. It started kind of mysterious. Oliver colliding with Seth, and gone is Seth into the night.
Olly’s mind and eyes are always working, writing beautiful lines on paper (read: in his phone) And then reading them out loud in the former bookstore, now a bar full of people owned by his best friends. Olly and Seth had an instant connection. Only Seth doesn’t want Olly to get involved with his business. So... distance is what Olly gets. Until Seth can’t handle the distance anymore. For some reason Seth his boss want to put his tentacles on Olly.
Olly is surrounded by a circle of friends. They want to protect him but there is more spirit in Olly than they ever knew.
The communication between all the guys was more with body language and less words. The attention on all the nonverbal acts was on the edge of too much. Every move, every blink was on paper. For me there was a bit too little space to visualize it by myself.
Overall was it a kind and somewhat sweet love story. It had a nice plot and the personalities were engaging. Olly had a playful ánd forceful personality, Seth more a big, muscled sturdy guy, they had some great sexy moments. The light angsty passages were well put down. There are different ways to approach a read. Try not to expect too much developing and when you are in the mood for a not too complicated, light, playful read, pick it up!
Told in 1st person pov, Fighting for Love drew me right in, as this Noah Steele book is a great addition to his Cut to the Feeling series. Despite being part of the series, it is great as a standalone.
First of all, I have to say that I absolutely love the name of the coffee shop. Seriously, it's awesome.
This is a story full of insecurities, intense chemistry, and a sense of danger. The tone is mysterious and ominous, allowing you to really sense the fear, keeping you on the edge of your seat as the danger escalates.
An insta-love story, stay away from this one if you hate this trope.
Seth's reserved and doesn't reveal much. He's full of fear and sadness. I found myself just wanting to give him a hug. As a couple, Seth and Oliver are so damn sweet together. Intense, sacrificial, determined, and full of love
The title is perfect, as these two have a long road ahead of them, fighting to be together. Their story is one of overcoming issues and finding love. It's about making sacrifices for those you love. Ultimately, it's a sweet, yet intense romance.
Fighting for Love is great, with a storyline that's riveting and full of emotion. I definitely felt it all; the fear, the need, the want, the apprehension, and the love. A new author, Noah Steele is impressive in his writing style; the storyline, the character development, and the likeable characters all add up to a great story.
Fighting for Love continues Noah Steele’s Cut to the Feeling series with a strong installment. It reminds me of a snippet of dialog from the 1997 movie Defying Gravity directed and written by John Keitel.
Can’t look back, can’t let go, can’t stop. It’s as if you are one person defying gravity, together. And, all at once everything is different.
Oliver (Olly) Park is Aiden’s bestie, former roommate, and a quirky writer who had feelings for Aiden in Racing Into Love. Olly is working through his transition to platonic friendship with Aiden while working at Jolt, Aiden’s bookstore transformation that occurred at the end of Racing Into Love.
Seth Kane is mysterious with his broody eyes, pouty lips, and dark hoodie attire. We learn he isn’t a free man, has made choices he regrets, and basically has sold his soul to an unsavory character. Overall, he feels trapped and is well aware he puts Olly in danger with his pursuit. But the pull is magnetic and unstoppable!
Unbeknownst to these two men, who have given up on themselves, fate has a different path in store for them. Before Olly and Seth know it, they are “fighting” for their love – battling their real and perceived demons. Their destiny’s change on a dime and all at once everything is different. Together, and using their phone-a-friend lifeline, the world becomes a brighter place full of hope, love, and future.
An instalove story with opposites who attract and ultimately steal your heart, Olly and Seth are perfect for each other, flaws and all.
Noah Steele’s character development is strong, incorporating and expanding on the entrenched individuals, while introducing new folks into their inner circle. Without a doubt, these new folks will be in the spotlight soon enough, but for now they blend seamlessly within the current plot.
Fighting for Love could be read as a standalone, but it is highly recommended that you read the series in order. There is a bit of back story that adds dimension and overall enjoyment of the individuals and establishments involved. An instalove story with opposites who attract and ultimately steal your heart, Olly and Seth are perfect for each other, flaws and all.
As predicted in my review of Racing Into Love Noah Steele has pushed this installment up to a five heart experience. There is suspense, intrigue, angst, friendship, and love wrapped up in this gem that flows effortlessly. The future is bright for this bunch of friends as they navigate the crazy little thing called life.
I enjoyed getting to know Olly and Seth and I found the story to be an original one. Olly works at a coffee shop with his ex, who is also his best friend, but he's in a relationship while Olly remains single. He reads his posts in the coffee shop once a week and is a writer on the side. One day he falls for Seth, a newcomer to the coffee shop, and their connection is immediate. I love how fast they recognized their attraction, although Seth doesn't want to involve Olly into his life and have him deal with the mistakes he's made in the past, but their attraction is undeniable. A great story with a little suspense thrown in. I loved both Olly and Seth!
One of my favorite pairings with MC's is when they are opposites. We have Seth, the fitness guy, and Olly the nerdy guy; the two matched so well. Their pairing was so cute! It is still insta-love, but I do not mind that so much if it is done right, and this was done right. I really liked this one! The first one was pretty good, but you can definitely see the improvement with this one. I will definitely be keeping a look out for Noah Steele's books.
This was an exciting story with an air of mystery, enveloped in a romance to warm your heart.
As the second book in the Cut to the Feeling series, this was not just a bridge book. This was a lovely story on it's own with a spotlight on Aiden's best friend Oliver.
Olly works at Jolt with Aiden, Derrek and Theo. He's a writer on the side, with a weekly post that he reads aloud at the shop. He's a little bit awkward, but has a pretty good handle on life... until he stumbles into a pair of pouty lips and a dark hoodie.
Seth isn't free. He's made some bad choices that have forced him into a life he has no control over. As soon as he meets Olly he knows something has to change because he can't risk losing the one thing he's ever wanted.
When Noah Steele writes, nothing is left to chance. His words are so descriptive and the plot so well thought out, it's an effortless read each time. The characters are true to themselves and nothing is ever superfluous. I love that the MC's have challenges and issues that they work through with care instead of leaving stories untold and arguments lingering.
There's nothing better than a great love story and a thrilling twist and this had both. A little edge of your seat action with an amazing tale of romance and a perfect HEA. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to read more about this awesome group of friends.

5 stars for book 2 in the Cut to the Feeling Series by Noah Steele.
We first meet Oliver in book one. He is Aiden’s best friend/former love interest. He is a writer with several quirks that are endearing.
Seth is a mysterious and broody guy who catches Oliver, literally, when they first meet at the coffee shop Oliver works at.
During their first date Oliver starts to notice things about Seth’s behavior that are off. Oliver starts to see that things are not as they first appear with Seth. Seth has made a bad choice in his past that now haunts them. They soon find themselves fighting for their love.
First of all I have to say how much I love Noah Steele’s writing style. For a new author, his work is superb! I was literally on the edge of my seat at times. I loved the mystery. Seth is now my favorite character in this series. I love Oliver too and they are perfect for each other. I highly recommend this series. I’m looking forward to book 3!
Ooh what a pair of hotties. Cute, creative and often distracted by his muse, Olly seems to want a relationship like his best friend has - a step up on wanting said best friend. Mysterious muscle-boy Seth is sweet when it’s the two of them, but acting oddly, and a bit rigid around others. Olly’s lovely little found family at coffee shop Jolt are here to look out for him, and in the process of adopting another lost soul. When they find out more about Seth and his life, Olly and friends are fabulous in their reactions, protective of Olly but with big hearts wanting to support Seth. In other news, these two are also sex on legs with some amazingly HOT and dirty scenes. If you like assertiveness in the bedroom (or wherever 😉) you’re going to love this pairing. Yum.
I thoroughly enjoyed this second book by Noah. Clever storyline. Hot scenes. My only gripe was that there was not enough dialogue. I can understand at the beginning how short interactions gave an air of mystery. Unfortunately this lack of dialogue continued throughout the book with us being “told” about the story. I think the characters would have had more depth by showing us their personalities through speech. At the end of the book there was a sneak peek of Marc’s story. This was sufficient to entice me to want to read it. My only hope is that Noah takes notice of this review and considers more conversations in recounting his story.
In the first book in the Cut to the Feeling series, I absolutely loved Oliver, who was the main character's best friend, so when I saw that book two would feature Oliver's story, I was thrilled! Fighting for Love did not disappoint. Fighting finds Oliver deciding to take a chance on love with Seth, a quiet guy, who has a past and present with a shady character, which Oliver and Seth have to overcome, to make it to their happily ever after. Fighting is low angst, with a lot of heart and emotion, and insta love. Noah Steele does such a great job of making you care for his characters. I loved Oliver and Seth together.
I love Oliver for his head in the clouds, always inspired personality. Don’t let his outward appearance fool you though, he’s a tough cookie on the inside. Seth has so many demons, and they burden him. It’s sweet getting to see him relax and just be who he truly is, as the story unfolds. Love the friendships they all share at Jolt, and that the friendships are strong too. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
oh this was heartbreaking and heartwarming.. parts made me so sad.. and the rest made me super happy. i loved it and it is sexy and fun.. it was enjoyable and i loved the stories oliver writes.. so much fun. seth is complicated and broken and needs someone to be love him.. these two together make me happy. they are perfect and not perfect at the same time but become whot hey need to be together and as individuals.
The book was so much better then i thought it would be! I was a bit afraid i'll be disappointed, but no! It was really good! And so much better then the first book!
It's still insta love - but now i knew it before reading it lol. Seth and Olly was cute together and i loved that they were the opposites of each other. Seth the fitness and muscle guy while Olly the nerd book and coffee lover. And i loved how strong they were and not just Seth, Olly was so strong too!
I loved they relationship and how they fell in love, it was romantic and cute♥ And god, the erotic scenes! Super hot and sexy!
I truly enjoyed this book. Ollie and Seth had my attention from the beginning to the end. The flow was good and the characters were believable. The book is just like the first one it has romance, funny, intense, with some angst, and yes you did have consistency from the first book. I enjoyed seeing Derek and Aiden again. I hope Theo gets his own book.
Noah Steele's Fighting for Love is the second book in the Cut to the Feeling series. It is a great read filled with interesting characters, some action/danger/drama, a sweet and sexy love and a well told story. It made me anxious for more.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
I DNF'd this one after about 40% of it. I'd read the previous one yesterday & based on that & what I'd been feeling so far on this one, I realized that it just wasn't doing it for me. As with the previous book, I felt like it had potential & intriguing characters, but it was trying too hard to get to a certain point, to include certain points, rushing & not actually showing enough interaction between the characters, particularly in terms of dialogue. There are a lot of positive reviews, so I think this was just my own thing on the writing style.
This is the second book in this series, and it started out pretty disappointing. However, as I was about to throw in the towel, things started to get interesting. This definitely is an Insta-love, which I knew going in, but I have no idea how two people who are so completely opposite can fall in love without speaking to each other.
There's not much communication throughout the story, other than visual cues and touches; silent communication. That made the book drag for me because the book is told from Oliver's first person POV. We met Ollie in the first book, but get to know more about his artistic and distracted ways. Seth is strong and secretive, always holding back.
Now, I am all for men showing their emotions and being able to feel vulnerable. But it seems that the main way the author has for his characters to share their feelings is a good cry. But once we get past the angst of will he love me and so on, we get to the meat of the story.
This is where Seth's reservations and fears come into play, and he has every right to be cautious. While Ollie spends his time writing and working at Aiden's new shop, Seth is trapped in a dangerous situation. When their two worlds collide, things get dicey, but Oliver shows a reserve of strength and resilience Seth wasn't expecting.
In the end, the two obviously love each other, although I'm still not exactly sure how that happened. But when the plotline took off, the book redeemed itself, therefore the three star rating. And of course, Ollie and Seth get their happily ever after.
* I received an ARC of this book and I am leaving my honest review. *
I loved Olly. He’s so cute and squirrelly. Always creating and always seems to be moving. He’s braver and stronger than people think despite his stature and will fight for Seth and their love any way he can.
Noah’s writing is passionate and fast-paced and so easy to read. This story follows the same crew from book one and the little family the various characters and found and made. Olly literally runs into Seth and their love sparks. They must fight for their love and conquer unusual obstacles to be together. I loved the banter and bad flirting. Seth is great to toy with and I loved that he was accepted into the Jolt family, no questions asked.
I look forward to seeing where Noah takes us next and can’t wait for Marc’s story, based on the teaser it’s going to pull at my heartstrings!!
I think, to be fair, I’m not going to rate and review if I decide to try and make it through the other books in the series at some point. They’re not getting better, they’re getting worse, and I know that. I seem to be the only one who notices the almost complete lack of any kind of editing or proofreading, the insane inconsistency throughout each book, the issues with the stories and the characters, and let’s not even mention the really bad bareback amateur p*rn scenes (with no talk ever of any kind of protection or status.) I’m concerned that this is still coming off as all-around poor writing and literally NO ONE is saying anything. I’m sorry, I tried. I wanted to like it, I heard nothing but good things and I really tried. It’s not for me, and I’m not sure this author is for me, either. I’ve read some pretty awful queer romances, and this one is taking up residence in the top three of the worst on my list. That’s a shame, but it’s still just my opinion. I’m definitely in the extreme minority. 2.5/5, again. *womp womp*
Oliver was in love with his best friend but lost him to another man. They work together, getting back to the friendship they had. Oliver writes stories. His favorite is about a cleric and a demon prince. One night Oliver runs into Seth. The feelings he got from their few seconds of touching were electric.
Seth’s life is ugly and complicated. He wants Oliver but knows he can’t bring him into his life. He didn’t realize it was already to late. Oliver wants Seth and he can be very determined. Seth’s demon won’t know what hit him when these two are through with him.
I liked the first book in the series but I think this one was a little better. The characters from the first book played pivotal roles in this one. I think the character development was stronger in this story too. (That could be in part because I was already familiar with them). Nicely done book.
Fighting for Love is the second book in the Cut to the Feeling series by author Noah Steele. I loved this story. Oliver is one of my favorite characters in the series. I am so glad to read his love story. Oliver or Olly as we know him as he is a dreamer. Doing his stories on open mike nights at Jolt. He is always writing ideas down and being a little bit spacey. That is how he literally runs into Seth. Seth or fit devil saves him from face-planting down the stairs. He asks Oliver out. I liked that Seth is assertive, he grounds Olly. Olly really needs that in his life. Seth has many secrets but at his core, he is a good person with a lot of things on his plate. Overall, I loved this one. Oliver got a partner he really needs. Seth also got someone to help him to remember not to take life so seriously. I cannot wait for more from this series in the future and who falls in love next.
This is the first book I’ve read by Noah Steel and I was very impressed. It’s insta love with drama and is very well written. The pacing is spot on, it kept me turning pages wanting to see where the plot was going. Complex characters made it interesting and easy to connect with them. And boy, did they have some chemistry - heat level turned up high! I enjoyed the quirkinesses and strength of Olly who fought to keep Seth by his side. Together they were able to overcome the situation Seth found himself in and have their HEA. Looking forward to the next instalment to find out the story of some interesting side characters. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. I will be downloading the first book as I really want to read the first couples story. I highly recommend this book.
This one still sticks with the single POV as the furst one did. Ollie is a writer at Jolt and we met him in the first book. Seth is a fitness guy in a bad spot.
I liked this one better than the first, the "bad guy" was a little more believable, but still was a little too OTT for me. I liked that Oliver wasn't a huge pushover and was anle to stand up for what he wanted.
I didn't like the single POV when the other character that we don't get to see into his head is quiet, secretive, holding back, etc. There is too much weight given to non-verbal cues, but those can be misinterpreted so easily.
There are two things that bug me about this one 1: lack of condoms/check in about STD status... and 2: anal sex without lube. Spit doesn't count people. It makes it so unrealistic, it pulls you out of the story.
Kiss me. Love me. Break me. Put me back together. Never stop..-Fighting for Love
"Here, in his sanctuary, there was room for thought or feeling. there was only me and Seth and the hunger for each other that burned through our bodies, demanding to be fed." Like all of us, Seth has both inner and outer demons that he must fight in order to allow himself to find true happiness. Thankfully, Seth has Olly, who refuses to allow Seth to resign himself to the sticky situation he landed in. Olly is a man that has an amazing inner strength and fantastic friends that are willing to stand up and with Seth, if Seth is willing to except their help.
I loved the angst and the life lesson that everything is better with true friends in your corner.
I am not sure how describe this book 2 in the Cut to the feeling series to you because Seth and Oliver ‘s story has a lot of difficult little topics besides a simple love story. You can find some angst situations, violence and danger while Seth and Oliver got to know each other and fell in love, fighting to be together, confronting the obstacles for their future. Interesting plot that kept me at the edge of my seat all time. The book contains one of my triggers so I also cried a lot. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series! I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion
I loved the character development that was evident in this book. It was clear that the author worked on his writing in between books and is developing a stronger writing style. I'm not used to reading romances written in only 1 point of view, but I kind of like it. If it was real life, you wouldn't know what the other person had going in or what they were thinking. Leaving some of that mystery for the reader makes it feel more realistic, at least in my POV. I'm looking forward to reading Marc's story next.
I recieved an advanced copy and voluntarily gave my honest review.
I loved the first book but this one, not so much. It has WAY too many words. I found mys of skimming paragraphs and when I'd pick back up, nothing was any farther in the story. There was too little dialogue between the characters. This is not a slight to Noah Steele because I like the storyline but the execution wasn't for me.
That being said, I read the snippet for the next book at the end and it sounds good. I'll be looking for that one in the future.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Wow! Book 2 in this brilliant sexy series left me breathless. Seth and Olly. What can I possibly say about these two great characters. Funny. Witty. Full of heart and love. Made for each other, but someone is trying to cut this relationship short. How hard would you fight for the love of a lifetime???? Tooth and nail. Never giving up on each other. A beautiful love story that I will forever remember. 5 kisses (stars)
With this second installment, we get even more of opposites together, more sweet cutesy love, another crazy bad guy, and of course an adorable HEA. I will say I liked the first one better (I just didn’t connect as much to the characters with this one and felt like something was missing), but I still enjoyed it!
