Author of romance with many sub-genres Thalassophile, animal lover, ceraunophile.
Writing is my passion. I love romance, but each book I write has a subgenre that is just as strong as the romance. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I love writing them.

If you are looking for a perfect book to spend a cosy weekend with, look no further. “Tears of a Cowgirl” by Jupiter Rose is what you need and more.
Katie’s story has all the ingredients to melt the reader’s heart. We meet her at the turning point of her life. Trapped in a marriage with an abuser, Katie has reached the stage when she is ready to risk her life and the life of her little son but try to escape. She knows that she has only one chance. Her husband has made it absolutely clear that he will kill her if she tries to leave him. Still, she makes the decision to flee the house where she was held like a prisoner with a monitor attached to her ankle.
Surrounded by friends who care for her and her son’s well-being, Katie tries to settle into a quiet life in her hometown. Her parents’ house evokes many memories, and although both her mother and father passed away, Katie remembers what they taught her and it gives her strength.
When Katie finds beautiful flowers on her doorstep, her first thought is that her evil husband has found her. When a handsome neighbour knocks at her door, Katie can’t get rid of the suspicions her ex hired him.
But then she gets stuck in a remote house with two children with a vicious snowstorm isolating her from the world. The handsome neighbour arrives and announces he is here to protect her. How can Katie’s heart, which was tortured for so long, resist?
I love horses, so I enjoyed that these noble and beautiful animals were a part of the story.
“Tears of a Cowgirl” is a sweet love story – the kind that will ignite your faith in true love again – with a touch of suspense and danger. Sociopaths are known to be relentless in pursuing their victims. But true love is known to the extremely persistent as well.
This is a very sweet story with a thrilling angle and happy ending. Although the storyline is nothing new, it is the writers style that makes all the difference. A love story between Katherine Bell or Katie and Michael Turner. The heroine is a young and battered wife of an abusive man Chris. She has a son with him who is also very young, Eddie. He is the reason why she put up with the abuse for all the years. And he is also her reason to get out of this situation and give him a better life. The descriptive scenes of Colorado mountains during fall weather had me imagining myself there. I even felt the chilly mountain air on my face.
Michal Turner is the best selling author of many books and on a mission to write his newest novel. It just so happens that he is Katie's favorite writer. He rents a cottage right across from Katie's farmhouse to draw inspiration from his mountainous surrounding.
Chapters detailing her escape from her husband left me on edge. And then there was a twist in the end that I did not see coming. Innocent, beautiful, and clean romantic novel. A great pick when you just want to curl up on the sofa on a winter night with your hot cocoa.
Tears of a Cowgirl has all the elements to be a fantastic book.
I wanted to fall in love with this story, and the bare bones are there. A broken marriage, a flight from danger, romance, horses...it has so much potential! But for me, I struggled to get through this book because of the formatting.
The dialogue especially was hard to read. It was all blocked together in one paragraph instead of spaced out properly. If this book was given another run through by a line editor, I think it could be fantastic, but as it is, I was unable to enjoy the story as much as I wanted to.
Update: The author has contacted me and let me know they have made some changes to the book and fixed many of the errors I had an issue with so don’t let my experience deter you.
*I was given a free copy from Booktasters and this is my honest, voluntary review.*
I finished listening to Tears of a Cowgirl tonight. It reminded me of a mix between a Nicholas Sparks romance and a Hallmark movie. The narrator does pretty good, I listened to the book on audible.
This was my first book by this author and I just loved it. The story follows Katie, a mom of a little boy, who is in a terribly abusive marriage. Literally trapped in her home by ankle monitoring, beat physically and emotionally. She didn't know what happened to her husband, one day he went from loving and wonderful to a monster. He threatened her life and she just knew that day would come soon if she didn't find a way out. She did it, she made her escape with her son. Took off with literally only the clothes on their back. She found her way back to her home town, where she had a support network of wonderful people that wanted to protect her and help her rebuild a life. Things are going pretty good, she is back in her family home, working with horses and even has a job lined up. But she can't stop looking over her shoulder, wondering if he will find them and worried for her son and their future. There is also a new stranger in town, Michael, staying in a house across from her. He watches her and finds himself simply taken by her. He wants to know her. He can tell something is off and she is in danger. Even before fulling knowing her, he vows to protect her. It's a beautiful story, where true love is born out of a tragic situation. A love story that you just know is meant to be and will last forever. I am so thrilled I read this book and highly recommend it!!
I loved it! It had a great backstory and a beautiful romance. Tears is full of different emotions The characters were very real and believable. I love that this is a series. I love the characters but I also love the type of series and the fact it's about the town of Crash Falls. It was well edited and beautifully put together. Five *****
HOURS HAD PASSED, and the woman sat chatting while the food finished cooking. The air held the aroma of an Italian deli. With so much brewing happening at once, it overheated the kitchen. This was a great book about Katherine and Michael. It is a good romance book and I enjoyed reading this book. The storyline was great for an interesting story.
Im not usually a romance reader but thought i would give it a shot after a chapter freebie. Wow, everything you want in a nice romance. Just enough heat and spice to juice up an afternoon read. Love the story line and the unexpected ending. I was worried there..not going to spoil it but when you run from a devil, hope God sends you angels.
A remarkable love story with a bitter sweet twist at the very end. The words are lovely, the love story is beautiful and there is a thriller also going on which was exciting. Jupiter Rose writes a good story that you just don't want to put down. The book starts with a young woman escaping from her husband who has mistreated her. She flees back to her hometown and eventually finds love again only her husband is close by..... No spoilers but I highly recommend this book Kerry Kennedy Author
Listened to the audio book. This book is very well paced and held my interest. I don’t want to give too much away. But this is hurt/comfort done well and the title might mislead one to think it’s a country/western thing. But not really. The MC’s home town is a farming area and there are horses Involved. Anyway male MC is an author and that’s fun!
Hurt to comfort then to action and suspense in a winter wonderland that could turn deadly. Lots of stakes. Riveting listen!
Escape from a marriage made in hell into the arms of an oddly familiar and handsome stranger.
Katherine Bell, Katie, decides that she has endured a humiliating and abusive marriage to a man who has inexplicably changed from a gentle lover into a monster, long enough, and finally she has decided to leave him for good, along with her young son. At the end of another long and unpleasant evening, he finally passes out in the bed, and that is when she stealthily takes his cell phone, unlocks and removes the tracker device that he has put on her ankle, picks her son up and heads out into the night to catch a bus that will take her back to her old home in a remote country spot unknown to her husband. Alone with her sleeping son on the bus at midnight, she is scared and prays that he won't wake up and track her down and force her back to a life that was a living hell for her. At that stage a kindly stranger lends her a cell phone and her journey back to her old hometown is suddenly made that much safer and a lot easier. That is the beginning of a new life for her, a life of peace and happiness, especially when she meets a stranger that she has dreamed about in her wildest fantasies. But her violent husband will never leave her alone, and she has no way of knowing who she can trust and whether the handsome, but somehow familiar stranger is a trap set for her to spring, like an animal caught in a viscous snare in the wild. Meanwhile, the secret writer and billionaire, Michael, agonizes everyday as he longs for her and wonders why she will barely even talk to her. When circumstance eventually throws them together, both the natural elements and her evil husband come together in a deadly combination that threatens to destroy her brief happiness forever. Even as you feel the heat of the lovers passion, but also their despair as events run way beyond their control, the conclusion remains a mystery until the final chapter. Far outside the small town, alone in a house isolated in the wild, the howling of the hungry wolves and the freezing blizzard outside, as the power to the house also fails, are not their only worries as her vengeful husband and his aides also close in on them to exact his revenge. This is a thoughtfully and emotionally crafted tale of romance and thrilling suspense.
Let me start my review by stating that I am a 6ft2 stereotypical biker/viking looking guy and this wouldn't usually be my first genre of choice to read (and I would've totally missed out if I hadn't!)
'Tears of a cowgirl' is a great read! I was sucked in from the very first chapter and found myself switching between holding my breath during the suspenseful parts to wiping away tears during the heartfelt ones!turns out there's a romantic in this guy and now definitely a Jupiter Rose fan
(On a personal note, I love Charlie! Thats the person we all want in our corner)
This book kept me gripped all the way through. The characters and their stories are so detailed you do feel like you know them. The twist really did shock me as I did not see it coming. A enjoyable romantic tale and would read more from this author.
An enjoyable romantic suspense, which tackles the issues of domestic abuse and violence. Love blossoms, as danger lurks around every corner, keeping you guessing until the end!
The story captured my interest right from the beginning. Kate is in an abusive marriage with a little boy in the middle of danger. This story is a reality of life, a consistent physical, sexual, and emotional roller-coaster pattern of mistreatment. Chris, her husband, controlled the situation and trapped Kate. This was all too common.
The author has written an unforgettable story of abuse, Thriller, action, and romance novel. I could not put the book down. It is mind-blowing how far her husband could get away with, and the book gives much hope to a woman in trouble.
It was tough for Kate to find the courage to leave a selfish man that had her locked up in her own home. Everyone deserves a relationship free from domestic violence and flourishing life. I highly recommend buying a copy—a five-star book.
It took several months for me to finish this fabulous book, for many reasons. Yet the main was my literal fear of romance; my life somehow never finds its happy endings. However, as a genuine fan of Jupiter Rose's books, I knew that there must be more than "just romance". And right I was; the book is, and I boldly state this, a Shakespearian style drama, where love will always ask for its "pound of flesh", where villains are never those one may think, but everything through the relentless pursuit of hope, kindness, and goodness, the signatures of a classic J. Rose. And as an unexpected "miracle", the end of the book edged itself in the tight glacier which occupies the place where my emotions were once, and once again I felt something I thought buried long ago. Will I read more romance after this? I don't know; but I know that I can't wait to read JR's next book.
I wish we could all love as intently as Katie and Michael, the main characters in Tears of a Cowgirl – Running from the Devil.
Jupiter Rose portraits the pain and overhanging fear after escaping an abusive relationship, as well as she captures the glorious details of the emotional rollercoaster that falling in love entail.
It felt refreshing listening to this romantic story full of hope for a new start in life after surviving hideous abuse, especially for someone like me, who usually reads dark thrillers and crime stories.
This book made me dream again, literally. The reading voice was engaging and pleasant.
I look forward to reading more books by Jupiter Rose.
I will admit that knowing there was domestic abuse in this novel nearly turned me away from reading it. For those who might feel the same, yes there is abuse but it isn't the focal part of the story and not overly utilized. Ms. Rose writes those few segments with sensitivity and compassion. She writes positive prose of love and strength in forward movement. This book certainly would be categorized in the cowboy/cowgirl drama as a damsel in distress but it is anything but a typical cowgirl story. This book is meant to be felt, not just read and hopefully the reader will come away with an appreciation of the true life reality of domestic abuse plus the wonderful power of love. Excellent read Rose.
This story reminded me of why I love Western romantic suspense so much. The small town setting, the sense of community, the quiet strength of people who have been through hell and still find reasons to fight it all made Tears of a Cowgirl an unforgettable read.
It’s a gripping blend of romance, suspense, and emotional depth. It’s about survival, trust, and the hope that even in the darkest times, love can be a guiding light. With well crafted characters, heart stopping twists, and a satisfying emotional payoff, this book is a must read for fans of Western romantic suspense.
If you’re looking for a book that will make your heart pound for all the right reasons, this is it.
Katie bravely escapes, with her son, from her abusive husband. But of course he will be hunting her. How will she ever really be free again? This is a heart wrenching/heartwarming story, set in the Colorado Mountains. She's back on her family ranch with her beloved horses and friends.
I deducted one star because there are a few unbelievable actions or events. I call them the author's perogative. But I still loved the story.
I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. Ryan Hicks presents this story with all the feels it requires. He has a great listening voice. A 5 star rating for him.
The first book in the Crash Falls series a book that I was not putting down until I had finished reading. The story is well written with a very good storyline. Katie her son Eddie and Michael's story has suspense, drama, danger, secrets, a miracle, God's presence, twists, turns, a town with caring people, friends and romance. This is a new Author to me. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I listened to this book on audible. It's not my usual genre, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters were well developed, and I was rooting for the protagonist, Katie—with her dreadful and traumatic experience—it was hard not to. The twists and turns made it a compelling read, and the turn of events at the end of the story was clever. Well done, Ms Rose.
A very good book. The determination of an abused woman when she has finally come to the end of her rope. The heart of a man when he finally finds what will make him happiest in life. The determination of a monster w How will do anything to get his possessions back any way he can. This story has it all and keeps us wondering what will happen next. A good easy read with a twist.
The only jarring thing about this wonderful book was auto-correct, venerable very time the author wrote vulnerable and definitely was mercilessly changed to defiantly. Having said that the story was gripping the romance thrilling and the poetry extraordinarily beautiful. I loved the story and would recommend it to lovers everywhere.
Good characters. I like the environment where the story takes place. Good supporting characters. And I like the slow process of building their love story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This romance novel is truly heartfelt straight from the heart of the author. Rose has a way of melding characters with a bit of angst, sadness, loss, and true love. When a book pulls on my own heart, then that book speaks volumes. Five stars.
It's been quite a while since I read this, but still remember much of what happened, which I consider a good sign for a story. Had an interesting twist in one aspect of the story, but don't want to do a spoiler. Mostly I'm a sucker for romance and a happy ending.
