In Snake Eyes, Episode 4 of Sue Ann Jaffarian’s popular Dead Woman Driving serial novel, Kate Hastings is tackling her first solo job for her mysterious employers, a task she cannot slither out of, while attempting to normalize her new life on the road.
Sue Ann Jaffarian is the author of the popular Odelia Grey mystery series, the Ghost of Granny Apples mystery series and the Madison Rose vampire mysteries, as well as short stories.
Sue Ann also writes the Winnie Wilde romance novellas.
Like the character Odelia Grey, Sue Ann Jaffarian is a middle-aged, plus-sized paralegal. She lives in Los Angeles.
It's very satisfying to see Kate growing in her confidence as she navigates her new experiences as a full-time RVer and part time gray-area task hire. As she experiences more positive experiences of everyday 'good' people, she might be able to develop more trust in good things to come. Let's hope so. Though I'm sure she'll run into more adventures with tension between bad guys or the law, it was fun to read about a budding romance and get a glimpse of Burmese pythons as pets (uggggh). As always, I love the references to good places to visit or stay while RVing. Wondering where Episode 5 will lead....???
This is the fourth episode in this serial novel. The book deals with Kate transporting a Burmese python in her RV to California. After she transports the snake she meets up with the young man she met at a RV park, JT Sweet, whose band is performing at a casino. Highly recommend this serial novel.
I really liked this episode! Kate transported a very large snake from TX to CA & like her, I do not like snakes or any creepy crawly things for that matter. I was nervous something would go wrong but she did great! It was also nice that she made so many new friends over the holidays!! Look forward to reading episode 5!!
