Gosh, I love this novel so much, and it was so great to finally see the continuation of where the webtoon stops. In my opinion, the webtoon is one of the most beautifully illustrated pieces I've ever read, so when I found out Tapas was translating the novel, I pretty much squealed in joy.
A lot happens in this volume. Like... a lot. It almost felt like I was reading a full story all on its own, which I guess makes sense as it pretty much ends at the beginning of a new life for everyone involved.
Cassis and Roxana are probably one of my top OTP in Manhwa. They're just so perfect for one another. They came together in the worst of circumstances, but they both feel like a source of solace for the other, and I am a sucker for this dynamic.
Now that , I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them! Granted, it would most likely be traumatizing and bloody since this is the world they live in, but I trust they'll always be a source of light in the darkness.

Amo a Roxana, es tan genial. Aunque Cassis no se queda atrás.
Una lástima que hayan cancelado la adaptación del manhwa, ya no vere terminar la historia de Rox así, pero las novelas me dirán más, no me puedo ni imaginar que sigue, pensar que aun me faltan un montón de capítulos por leer.
10/10 La traducción a inglés. Fue casi imposible leer las traducciones mochas en español.

Wow, I've read a few stories like this before but damn this one hits different. The main character. UGGHH I'm in love with her!! She's a Slytherin queen. And all the side characters are amazing you either love them or hate them. The main male lead amazing, so good that he ruined real men for me lol. It is definitely a dark romance and not for everybody cause a lot of the characters, including the main character are not "good" people there all mostly morally grey. Which I love even more.
Not for everyone and would not recommend it to everyone, but I personally loved it and can not wait for season 2.

Roxana, Roxana... what a thrilling and captivating beginning it was. The first half of the book had me on the edge of my chair but the last half??? Ooof. Major letdown. But Roxana and Cassis have my heart. Looooved these two ughhhh, my enemies to lovers heart brimmed with absolute joy.

This book was published in 2020. I am writing this review in January of 2023. Yet somehow it has taken 120 years for it to be officially translated into English. But it's here and oh my god just let me bask in its beauty.
Alright so if you're curious as to what it's about:

Basically Roxana is reincarnated and has all her memories of her past life. And she remembers all the events of the new life she's living as a novel she's read in her past life. She got reincarnated as a side character that gets slaughtered in her teens. Not only that, but the reason she dies is because of the actions of her no good, mad, unhinged, off their rockers, psychopathic villain family.
She must survive her family and somehow escape.
Oh and it's a romance series! So kidnapping, torture, blood, guts, generational trauma, all other forms of trauma and a sprinkling of romance.
So this is "The Way To Protect the Female Lead's Older Brother" aka "Roxana".

Formatting and POV switching on the Radish app where I read this left much to be desired. But that's hardly the fault here.
Triggers: Many. Lots of blood and abuse. All people related. No animals harmed.
