Never a dull moment.

I have read a few of T.J's books and always get lost in them. So to come across this box set, at such a bargain price, was a pleasure to find.
Great characters with good explanatory backgrounds. Great stories, very engaging and never a dull moment.
Each book is full of twists and turns, leading you right up to the last few pages.

Couldn’t stop reading

I bought the five-book set and read them straight through! Each book is a standalone mystery — dark, fascinating, well-written plots with edge-of-your-seat endings. Although the setting is the same area in upstate New York, the main characters are different in each book. Excellent crime thriller series.

Dark is the word!

Psychological mysteries are good brain food. In all 5 of these books there are twists and turns to discover.
Characters are deliciously flawed. I read them in a little over a week and enjoyed them!

Strange Event In A Foreign Land

A many facetted tale set in the USA, highlighting the vast cultural gulf between that country and the UK.

It is well written and has well crafted plots with many twists and turns, and my attention was held throughout.

Absorbing

Enjoyed this set of stories. Interesting characters in believable situations. Not black and white but nuanced. Thought I found a bit of a thread about what happens when people get pushed outside their comfort zones.

Good reads, but

The books are fun to read and kept my attention, but the endings are crazy stupid. Also, the author uses a lot of police acronyms without any definition. I'm not a cop, not friends with a cop, and I don't watch cop shows, so that was annoying.

Really great box set.

Five stories that keep you reading to the end. That is how good this author is! No spoilers from me, but each tale has a lovely twist in the tail. Very cleverly thought out to be able to hook you this well.

This surprising series is quite confusing and ot was easy to get ost on the stories. I found the endings !!more than made up for the confusion.

different

Strange story with an abrupt ending. The author jumps around a lot. Wasn’t totally impressed with this book. Not his best.
