He let her go once. He’s not about to make that mistake again…
Abigail
Jimmy Chavez was my first love. Our story was supposed to end in the perfect happily ever after. Instead, he dumped me and left to live out his fantasies as a pro baseball player.
I had no choice but to move on. But I never forgot—and I certainly never forgave.
Now he’s back, annoyingly sexy as ever. He’d better just stay out of my way, because this town is not big enough for the both of us.
Jimmy
My one regret in life is how I handled things with Abigail. She deserved so much better. I had reasons for everything I did, but that doesn’t make it right—and it won’t make her hate me less.
But now that I’m back in town, I’m going to do everything I can to make amends. And if I’m really lucky, I’ll be able to convince her to give me a second chance.
Winning back the love of his life won’t be easy. Good thing Jimmy hasn’t ever been one to back down from a challenge…
Crazy Love is a Carolina Waves novella. It was first published in the Snowed Inn anthology. It features a smart, sassy heroine, a hot hero, and second chance romance.
As a tween, Tina Gallagher and her best friend would create happily ever afters for their favorite soap opera couples. Eventually, the soap operas lost their appeal, but the writing never did.
Before living her dream as a full-time author, she worked a spectrum of jobs ranging from baking and cake decorating to marketing and project management.
In between creating memorable characters, traveling, and taking pole dance lessons, Tina enjoys spending time with her handyman husband and two grown children.
Jimmy and A avail dated in high school until he up and left. They run into each other 12 years later. While stuck in a storm he explains why he left the way he did. And so a new relationship is formed as adults.
“Crazy Love” is a short novella in which Abigail and Jimmy, who were lovers as teenagers, meet twelve years after Jimmy wrote her a letter and disappeared from her life. She was upset then and is still curious about the reason for his sudden departure. A snowstorm and lots of sex brings them back together. It has an annoying habit of mixing tenses, often in the same sentence. She's nice, he's nice, the novella is nice – if it were longer I probably would not have finished it. 2 Stars.
