It's all fun and games until nature changes the plan. There I was, surrounded by beautiful college girls and tribeswomen, enjoying the fruits of my labor and the occasional consensual spanking, when a volcano threatened a different kind of eruption. A more dangerous one.Needless to say, it's up to me, the Professor with an armful of Gingers, to keep everybody safe.Because if we don't get off this island, it'll be an extinction level event. That's it. Those are all the spoilers you're getting.
The book really kept me engaged and entertained. I like the MC and I also like the secondary characters. The world building is interesting and the story was fun to read. Overall I enjoyed it very much.
The MC has to be one of the dumbest smart people ever. I find myself annoyed with him regularly through the course of this book. Given that, I am enjoying the story. It's a kind of Journey to the Center of the Earth stretched out longer and made much sexier. I'd like to see a little less bumbling idiocy from the MC but I am looking forward to more of the story.
This book was a excellent followup of the first book. The plot twists were unexpected.
This book was an excellent followup of the first book. The plot twists were unexpected. The author developed more depth to the supporting characters. I would recommend this book for light entertainment.
First book was good. College Prof and students were smart. As like any other college students. They were practical and adaptive to their new environment. Then all totally went dumb on this second book. 1) Prof has a raging hormone of a teenager. He oggles the girls like he just hit puberty. 2) Prof became an idiot. A) He thinks its ok to be live in an island with cannibals. B) He thinks if they stay in their little corner, they wont get found C) Even after being attacked he doesnt see them as threat D) He actually wanted to let his would be killers go E) He thinks after strong earthquakes and tremors the volcano wont erupt. Even a freakin Pre-K would think otherwise genius. F) He thinks even if it erupts that they would be safe in their little corner. 3) The girls went dumb too. A) They also feel like they would be safe from cannibals. No sense of danger at all B) After base got attacked, they did weapons training (smart) but refuse to carry weapon when going out (dumb) or take a partner (dumber then dumb) C) A freaking volcano is about to erupt but still refuse to leave. What the hell happen to their smarts and practicality?
I liked the first book because it did not solely focus on sex. Characters were smart and practical. This second book, has more sex just for the sake of gratifying teen hormones. And I dont like making people do idiotic mistakes that makes them go out of character for plot advancement. Do better than that. I will give this one a pass, but if continues with this trend then it would be a disappointment for me.
This book just wasn't all that interesting. It definitely tried to put some exciting things in here with more sex scenes with all the stranded island babes who only have one handsome man to please and some unknown world island issues but it failed too capture my interest. The first book was great! This one bored me. With that being said if there is a third one coming out I will gladly read it.
Well, that got Dumber A little more sex, a lot less brains. A certain amount of leeway should be granted to books with magic, or dragons, or yeah, Dinosaurs. You can't demand scientific accuracy, but you can expect the author to treat the reader with respect. Having characters suddenly behaving stupidly, completely out of character at just the right moment to advance the plot is NOT treating your readers with respect. It's lazy as hell and either you think we won't notice, or you think we won't care. In this book the author Jack Porter either couldn't think of any explainable way to advance the plot, or just gave up trying to think of any -So he had the MC acting contrary to his character from book 1. Leaving the women of your harem to carry all the heavy stuff through a dinosaur infested jungle so he can go off and spy on the cannibals on a whim with no preparation, was completely out of character for Jake. And it was a dick move on his part, again not like him at all. Getting the girls safely back to camp, Telling the girls where you will be and when to expect you back would have taken less than a page to write, but it really felt Jack Porter was rushing the ending just to get through this book. If you liked book 1, you will likely enjoy this one as well. It's not like the depictions of scuba diving were all that accurate either. If you were on the fence about book 1, And were afraid to broach book 2 out of fear it would get dumber, ...well I've got some bad news for you.
Fantasy portal harem adult situations Jake has a serious disconnect with their living situation. He wants to study the tribe of volcano worshipping cannibals they discover. Somehow during all his cultural anthropology classes, he never learned that they play for keeps. One serious continuity error; two of the girls take a side trip, one helps with raft building, and returns two days later, supposedly having been gone the whole time. There were ten other names to pick from. Seriously. If dinosaurs, mega fauna, and primitive cannibals get you going, and don't mind that nubile college babes keep rescuing Jake, enjoy. It really is self indulgent fun.
The glaring problems which were glossed over the previous book are fully on display with the second book in this series. The biggest problem comes when the main character and how events play out around him. One of the best examples comes with after taking the time to investigate a tribe of cannibals, returns home and instead of getting chastised for leaving without telling anyone in his camp he was going out, is guilt tripped for having relationships with one of the new girls instead of making sure to give the originally girls he arrived with some loving. Compared to how I recently blew through the entire Fractured World series because of how enjoyable the characters were and how the MC interacted with them, this one book and overall series seems hollow in comparison.

The plot is revealed early in the book that the strange island has a volcano and Jake trying to convince everyone they need to leave. There’s also a village of cannibals that they keep trying to spy on for whatever reason. Jake eventually gets captured by them and is rescued by the tougher girls and Killer. Meanwhile the volcano is erupting and a T-Rex is getting in the way.
No one dies, the harem gets bigger, and they all float in rafts towards a neighbor island.
Overall, given the weird student/professor relationship the MC is overall respectful and the women are not simply damsels in distress. Everyone can hold a spear and it’s nice that while Jake had to do a lot of rescuing, he is the one who needed to be rescued when it mattered most.

It was a quick read but I enjoyed it immensely. The characters, the few that are actually detailed, are interesting. The other characters don't have much meat though. Heck, the girl Jake is forced to have consensual sex with is more detailed than half the girls from the first book.
Still a fun light enjoyable read. Perfect for a beach trip. Looking forward to ther next one.
I understand that the author made certain decisions for the main male protagonist "Jake" in order to advanced the series but I have never been as angry at the character for his stupid decisions when he has so much to help protect. In short this story pulls you in. I am looking forward to the next installment.
This was the first that had the dinosaur lost world theme to it that I have read. I liked dinosaurs when I was growing up so I knew from the names what they were. Editing was fairly good, few mistakes here and there but compared to others very few. Now awaiting book three.
Professor Jack Montblank in paradise. Stranded on an prehistoric island with 12 college girls would be paradise if it wasn't for Dinosaurs, and now a tribe of cannabis to contend with. Oh and a volcano is ready to blow its stack too. Pretty good read. Sex and violence in this one.
Jungle King 2 lives up to everything the first put out there. It’s thoroughly escapist fun to read even as the pressure and consequences mount for Jake and his growing bevy of beauties.
The professor and his students learn to live and survive. They learn to love and hate. They find new people, people ready to eat them alive. No, not cunnilingus, really eating them. They manage to escape, what new adventure awaits them???
Good but Jake is really stupid for a professor! "After all, its such a good idea to go try make your self the main course at the neighborhood BBQ!" Almost stopped reading at those points. But good story otherwise.
I didn't think I would like this book cause it's not like any harem books I read before and really enjoyed it. I'll be waiting for Jake and his female warriors next adventure.
Unlike the first book, this one drags along making it difficult to enjoy. If the author makes some minor adjustments to the pacing I feel this would be a better read
Not a new concept but nicely done. I especially like the adoption of the animals. I very much enjoy the story. Looking forward to their next adventures.
