Thornhurst

Rate this book
When the feeders started to rise, the small English village of Thornhurst believed it was immune to the problems of the towns and cities. The news of civil disobedience, rioting and violent attacks didn't initially seem a concern for a small and traditional place such as Thornhurst. They had a peaceful existence; the old village pub and tea shop being the most lively part of village life.

Then the dead came. Former neighbours and wandering strangers only had one thing on their primitive minds, to feast upon the living.

The simple invention of a weight loss drug had changed the world forever. Fighting off the dead, raiders and dealing with an overstretched army, the villagers of Thornhurst were ill-prepared for this new dead world. This is the story of what happened to Thornhurst, and those that called it home.

A standalone story from the Deadweight universe. Also available now are the full-length novels: "Deadweight" and "The Last Bite".

It's not a bad addition to the story. A stand-alone and an interesting twke on small village life at the start of a zombie apocalypse.

Shame there are not any more mini stories.
