This is the story of a man falling in love with a woman.

A man that was supposed to be a role model, and a woman that was just barely twenty-one.

A man who should’ve known better, and a woman that didn’t know that she was destroying his career word by word, innocent touch by innocent touch, smile by smile, until it had already imploded.

The world collapses around Absinthe ‘Sin’ Solomon, and the only thing he can do is try not to take her down with him.

The moment the inevitable happens, and the gavel bangs signaling that he will spend the next nine years in prison for attempted murder, Sin tries to let go. But Blaise Mackenzie has never, not ever, been one to give up without a fight.

Her military career might be over, but her career as a prison guard is just about to get started.

And her favorite prisoner? A pissed-off older man, a drill sergeant dishonorably discharged from the Army that tells himself daily that the new ‘Kitty Kitty’ female prison guard is not for him.

After following him around for years, watching over him from afar in any way she can, Sin is released early. And the first person that he’s going to see? A stubborn little blonde-headed female that should’ve known better than to trust a man like him.

I seriously can't even to begin to explain how excited I was to read Sin's book. The fact that it was a prison romance... freaking bonus!!

Where do I even begin? Absinthe was very easy to love. I'm talking within the heartbreaking prologue easy. Who doesn't love a hero who is willing to sacrifice his own freedom to find justice for the woman he loves? Blaise was also easy to love. She followed the man who gave up everything from prison to prison to home. He was the one just like she was. Who doesn't love and respect fidelity and loyalty like that?

The underlying theme was as horrific as ever. Child kidnapping and human trafficking are horrors no one should face and I'm glad the author doesn't turn each book into something made out of unicorns and rainbows. The beautiful and sweet is balanced out with some pain and ugliness.

And don't even get me started on the other little treasures of this story!
🖤 the side characters who've already claimed a piece of my heart or are working towards it
🖤 Zach's story is next and I've been dying for this man's story ever since the SWAT 2.0 series. I can't wait!!
🖤 Blaise was independent and brave, but she didn't do anything truly stupid to make me scream.
🖤 seeing Sebastian, Baylee and Silas again... what a treat! Ooh ooh and Johnny 😍😍

Seriously, take a look at my reading list. I've read so much of this author's books and I have no plans on stopping. I'm even now going through her back list and I'm loving the journey. So if love is something you think should be celebrated, at all costs, then read this book!

The guys of Souls Chapel Revenants MC are back and we are treated to Sin's story: Kitty Kitty. I loved Blaise as our heroine. She is tough (former army), tenacious, and willing to do whatever to keep her savior in her life.

Kitty Kitty begins with Sin saving Blaise from a horrible beating and near rape, but it lands him in jail. So, after she recovers, she becomes a prison guard in Sin's prison! Following a riot on the yard, Sin and Blaise are left alone and a month later, Blaise realizes she is pregnant.

Sin's family is interesting. He has SO many brothers! His parents were trash and are already dead when the story starts. But, Sin and his brothers are super close. All of them were military men as well, but after what happened to Sin, they all left in a show of solidarity. Blaise's family is great as well because she is a Mackenzie; as in, her dad is Sebastian and her grandpa is Silas. Kitty Kitty gives readers a chance to peek back at some couples from books past (Lights to My Siren, Counter to My Intelligence, Get You Some, Ain't Doin' It).

Throughout this series, there is the overarching plot regarding the human trafficking ring in the area. In Kitty Kitty, they make some headway and catch someone who is part of the ring. While I knew how this would unfold, it was still a good story. If you like characters with darker pasts, deep love for each other, and some funny family banter (total nudity for a fight?), Kitty Kitty will be your next great read!

Every time I get to the end of one of these books, I make the mistake of reading the teaser for the next one. So, by the time I close my kindle all my brain can focus on is the needy, grabby hands I have wanting more and not the book I just read. Which is also partly because I read these books and they leave me feeling satisfied.

The whole series is based around the same characters and basic theme, yet they all have their own story and couple. So, I feel like I learn a little more after each book but I also get this new story I wasn't expecting. And since the book isn't heaps wordy, I can read it in a sitting or two without distraction.

Sin and Blaise were an interesting couple. They each had quirks and life experiences that made them individually interesting. As a couple I kinda didn't get it, but then their chemistry was scorching, and they worked together. So, it kind of felt like a "meh, fair enough" moment when they became official. Or maybe that's just my opinion after I got annoyed with them both for stepping back.

Anyway, this was a typical great Lani Lynn Vale book and of course I can't wait for the next one.

This one was my absolute favorite of the series. What a way to hook us!

Sin was a protector by nature and he definitely had a strong internal struggle when it came to Blaise after he met her in a military capacity. After the events that led to his incarceration, Blaise changed her life plans in a way that she ended up close to Sin. I absolutely LOVED their chemistry. It was so combustible and when they finally got together, it was explosive. Seriously hot 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.

The plot was well thought out and excellently executed. I loved reading through the tension, suspense, passion, and love. It was an absolute treat. I couldn’t put it down.

Another great read from this author!

”We both know that I mean more to you, and you mean more to me, than we’re both willing to admit.”

Absinthe AKA Sin Solomon was tasked with keeping an eye on Blaise Mackenzie. However, when his feelings lead him to almost killing a man in her defence, he ends up in prison. But, that’s not the last he sees of her, as she manages to be everywhere he is. When one explosive event leads to an explosive moment between them, it leaves them inextricably linked to each other…which is exactly where they want to be, but they’ve got a few things to wade through first.

”So for now, forever, I’m here to stay. You’re mine, and I’ll do anything, absolutely anything, to make that happen.”

I really enjoyed Sin and Blaise’s story – it was sexy hot, sweet and swoony. It was also quite humorous in places, as they dealt with their respective families, as well as their MC family. I adored Sin’s alpha protective ways and Blaise’s confident, loyal heart. I loved their devotion to each other and their utter commitment to one another. Just lovely!

I have read several Lani Lynn Vale's books and I can attest that this one is one of the best yet.
Blaise and Syn are meant for each other but their path is not easy at all! She suffered a trauma and he defended her causing him to lose his career and freedom. Overall, Syn is one of the best male character in the LLV world, he is so honest, mature and protective.
Blaise is so courageous and a beautiful soul, she followed Syn through the country over the years to take care of him and finally because of Lynn they can be together. It is not easy but in the end they work together to get their lives as they want.
I just loved this book!

I liked this couple because they didn't talk nonsense. Not to mentione H was definitely a hero to save h from a terrible attack. But you have to admit that h was determined enough to be close to H by becoming a prison guard.

Glad to see h's whole families from previous series, so did H's eldest brother and sister-in-law.

Absinthe "Sin" Solomon went to prison because he saved Blaise Mackenzie from a fate that would hav altered her life forever. He did so knowing he would do anything for her but when Sin receives an offer he can't refuse to get out of a jail, he has a second chance with Blaise.

Blaise has followed Sin during his prison time, she knows he is not happy with her choice of keeping tabs on him but she also knows he was meant to be hers. What happens when Sin gets out and seeks Blaise out, can they find a happily ever after?

There is so much that goes on in this story I am not going to even delve into. I think out of all of the characters Sin is the most alpha male next to Lynn and Silas. Sin just oozes masculinity with every page he is on. Loved his pairing with Blaise and she was everything I hoped her character would be. I hope there is a series with Sin's brothers because they are fascinating. Another fantastic read from this author.

Blaise Mackenzie (Sebastian and Baylee’s daughter, Lights To My Siren) was a promising Army recruit until the night she was attacked and medically discharged.

During boot camp training, Blaise catches the unwelcome attention of Drill Sergeant Brees, he goes out of his way to make her life a living hell. When she caught the attention of Drill Sergeant Brees, she also caught the attention of Drill Sergeant Solomon. Unbeknownst to her, Sin was asked by Blaise's family to watch over her. He’s fifteen years her senior.

Blaise is the granddaughter of Silas Mackenzie (Counter To My Intelligence). Her mother is Baylee Mackenzie, Baylee is sister to Luke Roberts (Centre Mass). Her uncle is Sam Mackenzie (Boomtown).

One night Brees tries to force himself on Blaise, Sin comes to her rescue and pulverises her would-be assailant. He’s wrongly imprisoned for his efforts…serving a nine year sentence.

Blaise is stationed at Sin’s penitentiary, during a riot they passionately engage in unprotected sex, a few weeks later, she’s pregnant. Lynn (Repeat Offender) arranges an official pardon, in need of Sin’s particular skillset.

She tells him shortly before his release that she’s expecting a baby.

He tracks her down and realises they live in close proximity. Taking the advice of her brother Johnny (Get You Some), she tells him that he needs time. “I don’t mind you coming to doctors’ appointments and stuff, but I think you need some time. I’m here if you need to talk. Need to assure yourself that I’m well. But take some time to think. To make sure this is really what you want. I don’t need dates. I don’t need false platitudes. If you’re going to be in our life, you need to be in it. And I think that you need to find yourself, get yourself settled, before you add me and this baby into the mix.”
I wanted to argue with her, but she was right.

Sin is one of eight boys, their parents were insufferable disciplinarians. Food was oftentimes scarce, space was limited, and they honestly couldn’t identify if they enjoyed their childhood or not. His father was a bully and a tyrant and his mother a spineless coward. If their father demanded that they were going to bed without dinner, they went to bed without dinner. Their mother didn’t care whether the punishment was justified or not, she blindly carried out his orders, because his father, was the ruler of their house.

Needless to say, when their parents died within a couple of years of each other, there a sense of relief. They no longer had a structured life, and Coke had to juggle figuring out a way to watch all of the younger brothers when he was in the military. But they all survived. And when he turned eighteen a few months later, they’d made it work even better.

Cast of misfits, Patrick, call me ‘Trick,’ who owned and ran a bar. And Swayze, his ‘girl’ as Trick kept calling her, was a lawyer.
Trouper and Beckham, who I did know.
Hunt, the computer genius, and Wyett, his beautiful wife, she was a nurse training to be a nurse anesthetist.
Then there was Lynn and Six. Six, who was a nature videographer gaining popularity.
There was Zach, my once successful doctor friend.
Bruno, the man that I was fairly confident was an FBI agent.
Laric, Lynn’s son, something I wasn’t sure that Laric appreciated all that much, ran a military working dog rescue.
“There are others in our club, Phelan, Copeland, and Janvier. All three are great guys, but they’re normal nine to fivers. They all have kids and families and jobs that would require them to be law-abiding.”
“You don’t think I’m law-abiding?” Wyett asked.
“You are,” Six shrugged. “But your husband is shady as sh*t.”
Wyett snickered as she looked over at her husband who didn’t even flinch at Six’s words.
“True,” she agreed. “Beckham’s not shady.”
“I’m kind of shady,” Beckham said. “If I have to be. I’ll lie, cheat, and steal if it helps bring even one kid home. Kind of like you did today.”
If you count getting into someone’s car and locking them out of it illegal.

“Your grandfather is going to f…..’ kill me,” Lynn grumbled as he rubbed his face with his hands. “Just say that I put up a fight, okay?”
“I think when I tell him that I’m pregnant, and that I’m getting with the man that went to prison for me, he’ll probably forget that you offered me a job,” I admitted.
Zach snorted as he too reached for another piece of pizza.”

Ames was married to Brees, once she realises they’re sharing a community, she asks them to leave. She is involved in a child trafficking ring endangering her own daughter.

Whilst the characters from each book overlap, they can be read individually. Many of them resurface giving readers a glimpse into their future.

When Sin is asked by Blaise's family to watch over her while they're both in the military, he has no idea just how much she'll change his life. Not necessarily for the better, in some respects, as he ends up in prison for protecting her from a disgusting pig of a drill sergeant, but in other respects, it ends up enhancing his life in ways he'll soon realize mean the world to him.

Ever since Blaise laid eyes on the sexy, older Sin, she knew he was the one for her. When he protected her to the point of landing in prison for it, she became even more certain he was hers. She just had make sure she was near him now, so followed him out of the military and into the prison he was condemned to. Working as a guard there meant she'd get to see her savior and protect him as he'd protected her. Never did she think she'd end up in the circumstances she finds herself in now though...Will she and Sin ever get their happiness now?

Blaise and Sin are fire together. He's protective alpha through and through, but with a beautiful heart that he hands to his sassy, quirky Blaise, the woman who brings him to his knees but loves as big as he does. Surrounded by his new brothers, and her entire awesome family, they find themselves taking the journey that hits more than one bump in the road, but they overcome them in true Lani fashion - with heart, with heat, and with their people around them.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the story of a man falling in love with a woman. A man that was supposed to be a role model, and a woman that was just barely twenty-one. A man should have known better, and a woman that didn't know that she was destroying his career word by word, innocent touch by innocent touch, smile by smile, until it had already imploded. A world collapses around Absinthe "Sin" Solomon, and the only thing he can do is try not to take her down with him. But Blaise Mackenzie has never, not ever, been on to give up without a fight. Her military career might be over, but her career as a prison guard is just about to get started. And her favorite prisoner? A pissed-off older man, a drill sergeant dishonorably discharged from the Army that tells himself daily that the new "Kitty-Kitty' female prison guard is not for him. After following him around for years, watching over him from afar in any way she can, sin is released early. And the first thing that he's going to see? A stubborn little blonde-headed female that should've known better than to trust a man like him.

This is the story of Sin and Blaise. Blaise had always been a strong kid and when she grew up she decided to go to Armed Forces upon graduation from high school. Her family however was ok with that and didn't seem to worry to much about her but no one knows that they have the inside tract in the form of a man in the military Sin is looking out for her. She doesn't know that though. However the first time that Sin lays his eyes on her he can feel the attraction down to her bones. However he has noticed that a man is attracted to her that is not a good person and he is not having it. When this person decides to attack her Sin springs into action and loses him military career and ends up in prison for nine years. He is not a happy camper. But Blaise is not having it either and it is her mission in life to follow him wherever he goes and what ever it takes. He is shocked to see her in his prison and still so angry. Will he ever be able to get over his anger and will these two every get their happily ever after? You have to rad to find out. I loved this book so much. I devoured it in one sitting and was sad to see it over. You guys don't want to miss this book.

I have always picked up LLV books when I’m in need for some comfort reads.
And considering that her books, or rather romance always has a forbidden aspect to it, is just the cherry on the top of a cake.

This newest instalment in the Soul Chapels Revenants MC series starts off with Absinthe ‘Sin’ Solomon going o jail for almost killing a fellow Drill Sergeant when he tried to rape and did almost beat up Blair’s Mackenzie, their junior.

Blaise’s military career ended with a traumatic incident compounded by the fact that her rescuer ends up in jail while her attacker roams free.

The attraction between Blaise and Sin is instantaneous and absolutely forbidden - and it’s actually wonderful to see the lengths that they go for each other.

Unlike other LLV books, this one had issues in miscommunication that I just couldn’t ignore; but it’s still a book that I ended up reading in one sitting; because comfort reads.

Ah. It was everything I wanted and then some.

Sin had me all kinds of curious and especially so after the sneak of their story in the previous book.

Sin is an alpha hero through and through. Overbearingly protective, obsessive over his woman, gruff and sweet and as blunt as it gets. He not once questioned the choice he made that landed him in prison and that right there made me love him hard. But the honesty and commitment he showed Blaise... Man he's a keeper.

Blaise has always been a wild one. The one to do the unexpected. But when her jump to the army turned out to be her worst nightmare you'd assume she'd shy from danger. Oh hell no. Nope, she infact does the opposite. She's stubborn and determined and tougher than nails. She's sweet and fiery and not afraid to stand up for herself or someone she loves.
Despite the horror she experienced she was not letting her man go down without a fight. Or at least her watchful eye near.

These two had me hooked. Their tension filled crazy romance was definitely about as dysfunctional as it gets but I mean how could it not be believable?, They oozed sexual tension and had an unbreakable bond forged through the toughest of times. They just had this easy banter and natural ease with each that made it easy to believe in them.

I loved getting to see some old faces as well as new and some family connection I didn't even realize before. It was a crazy turbulent journey filled with a few unexpected surprises, a whole lot of personality and some real saucy shenanigans that will have you blushing like a nun in a porn shop. The story had me ranting and raving, crying like a little bitch and swooning at the testosterone overload that is Sin and his merry bunch of inmates. I've said it before but I'll reiterate again that this is one of my all time favorite series's of Lani's. It's a little darker with a whole lot more crazy but it still has that humour and the swoony romancing that I love dearly. Sin and Blaise were a delight to read and like always I'm sad AF that I've finished. Now bring on Zach and Crockett!!. That little sneak at the end always kills me because now I have to wait for the rest!!.

Another dynamite installment in the Souls Revenants MC series!

Seriously, this series has GREAT Heroes & heroines. Just like the past couples, Sin & Blaise have the kind of chemistry that is undeniable. It’s electric every time they enter the same room.

Sin… I felt like I could hear his sexy, gravelly voice through my kindle screen. The desperate, rough way he took Blaise at the prison, his confession of wanting more, him slamming the sonogram picture onto the table, his willingness to fight Blaise’s family naked… those are just some of the reasons why I fell for him.

Blaise… FINALLY we get her HEA! Just like I knew I would, I loved her. Her following her man across the country, her fear of the haunted house, her lack of fear when protecting that little girl, her excitement at exhibitionism… She was the complete heroine package. I was a little irked that she listened to Johnny’s advice but it all worked out in the end, so… YAY!

I was definitely thrown for a loop when Titus King came back into play. First, he was one of the guys who rode the town bicycle in Banner’s book & now he was with THAT piece of trash?! *sigh* Me no likey. I REALLY wanted him to be with Blue but now… I think I want her to have a more appealing man.

So, so excited to read the next book in the series, Gen Pop. I’ve wanted Zach’s story for what seems like forever & Crockett won a place in my heart from day one of her introduction, so Bring. It. On.

Side Note: Very curious to see what other series are to come in the future… One that stars the football players from Banner’s book? Or Sin’s brothers? Or something for Deke? The possibilities are endless!

So obsessed with this series and these characters! Much like the previous books in this series, I have truly become obsessed with the premise of each main character’s backstory, and this book was no exception! Blaise was always a strong kid, and when she decided to go into the armed forces after high school not one person batted an eye, but her family had someone on the inside, Sin, looking out for her. When he first laid eyes on Blaise, Sin was enamored with her, but he also noticed another person feeling the same way, someone who wasn’t a good person, and when that person tried to attack her, Sin launched into the action that caused him to lose his career (although he wouldn’t change that for the world). Years later, Blaise has made it her mission to follow Sin and get as close to him as possible by working at the jail, and while they keep their distance, he continues to protect her at all costs, and before he gets out of jail something happens that changes both their lives and helps them to finally act on what’s been bubbling up for years. This book had me on the edge of my seat, especially after finding out that Blaise’s attacker lived in the same town as them, and I truly didn’t see the book going where it did – but it was SO GOOD! Needless to say, I can’t get enough of LLV’s books, and I can’t get enough of this series, and I am dying for Zach’s book!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Absinthe ‘Sin’ Solomon and Blaise Mackenzie

Blaise and Sin meet while Blaise is in the military and he is a drill sergeant. She finds him attractive (we get this part of the story from her pov), and thankfully he saves her while she is being attacked by another drill sergeant by the name of Brees.

Some way, Sin gets convicted for almost killing Brees and ends up in jail. Blaise, who is completely enamored becomes a guard and follows him once he's put in a regular prison.

These two are crazy about one another, but how can you form a relationship with a convict when you're a guard?

Luckily, he agrees to work with Lynn and is released.

Now he's out, and a tryst he had with Blaise (while in prison) has resulted in a baby.

I loved that Blaise wasn't a simpering idiot. She was confident and brave, and didn't have a problem standing up for herself in any situation. I love the mission that Lynn has set his crew on and wish there was someone doing this exact thing in real life.

5 Stars!

Lani Lynn Vale is back with the next book in the Souls Chapel Revenants MC series and gahhhh! This is one series that gets better and better with each new release and y'all this might just be my new favorite.

Kitty Kitty was all kinds of addicting, unforgettable, swoony, and unputdownable on every single page. This is Blaise and Sin's story and be still my heart and the journey they laid out. These two, hooked me hard and hooked me deep and I wouldn't change a thing.

Lani has a way of pulling you in with the first few words and you just can't let go until that very last one.

This is a series that is not to be missed by LLV. Great characters, intriguing storylines, steamy, packed with all of the feels, loads of heart, yummy heat, and sooooo many unforgettable moments.

I highly recommend this book.

I am addicted to Lani Lynn Vale's books. Once I start, I can’t stop. Her latest, Kitty Kitty is Book 5 of the Souls Chapel Revenants MC and is a read in one sitting romance.

Blaise and Sin are going to keep you glued to your kindle as you watch their unconventional love story play out. Their attraction to one another is instant and consuming, but highly inappropriate. He’s her superior and she’s a recruit. But the heart wants what the heart wants and even when he’s thrown in prison for saving her life, they are inseparable. I loved how courageous Blaise was and how careful they were with one another. Kitty, Kitty is a gripping romance read and gets the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval.

TBR and Enjoy!

Once again Lani Lynn Vale has captured my heart with her amazing characters in Kitty Kitty.
If you want steam, some suspense and good laughs, this book is definitely for you. It will be a highlight on your summer reading list.
Sun and Blaise definitely do not have a conventional relationship…at all! These two meet. and continue their relationship in a very odd way. But though all their ups and downs they make it work for them.
Get ready to laugh and shed a tear, but most of all get ready to fall in love with another amazing LLV couple!

Another great addition to this series. I swear each one gets better an better. The romance was so sweet and I love that Sin and Blaise pretty much knew that the other one was it for them right from their first meeting. There were some laugh out loud moments, some pulse pounding moments and just moments that we have came to love from this author. She never fails to keep me entertained and hooked from start to finish. I can’t wait to see what’s next. 5 stars #2OCCJD

Another smashing hit by this author!! Sin and Blaise’s story is finally here and I couldn’t be more thrilled. They had a long-standing history together dating back to their military days. Sin saves Blaise from a tragic event while they are in the army together but that rescue doesn’t come without consequences for Sin. Blaise becomes a prison guard so that she can be in the system and follow Sin wherever he is transferred to, that is until Lynn finally intervenes. There are laugh out loud moments and very emotional moments that had me reaching for the tissues in this story. This author balances them out beautifully. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!

This one was so chaotic and I mean that in the best way. Anytime there was chaos happening Sin and Blaise were smack in the middle of it, which made for some fun reading. Both of them were go with the flow people, so the chaos worked for them. I did like the connection that was there from the start with them and how it was kept alive and finally given in to. They had been through so much, they deserved all the happiness they found in the end.

I absolutely love this series! Each book is better than the last one. Sin is a drill sergeant and meets Blaise in boot camp. Sin is asked by her family to keep an eye on her. There is an instant attraction between them but when another drill sergeant takes notice of the attraction between them he tries to hurt Blaise. Sin happens upon him attacking Blaise and comes to her rescue. Sin ends up in prison and Blaise becomes a prison guard to look out for the man who saved her. Their chemistry will have you turning the pages to see what happens next. I can't wait for Zach's book.

It's like the stars aligned to make this the perfect day for me to read this book. It's the weekend, it's storming, I have no one who can whine while attempting to get me to go outside instead of reading. I'm taking that as the universe wanting me to have devoured this book as quickly as I did. Because devour is is exactly what I did. The second I got my hands on Kitty Kitty I was lost to anything in the real world and fully invested in all things Sin and Blaise. With Blaise's parents' book being one of my all-time favorites I was beyond thrilled to see her all grown up and getting her own HEA. And she definitely gets it despite a few bumps in the road.
Lani delivers a sexy and suspenseful age-gap romance that still is packed with that chef's kiss worthy sarcastic wit that can only be found in her writing with this book. Blaise & Sin's story, much like each book in the Souls Chapel Revenants MC, starts off with a jaw-dropping emotional wallop to your heart that results in hooking you almost the second you start reading. Then continues to keep you on your toes all the way to the very last page with action, romance, heat, and humor.
