The United States president preserves, protects, and defends the U.S. Constitution. Each president's term influences events in America and around the world for years to come. This biography introduces young readers to the life of Thomas Jefferson, beginning with his childhood in Shadwell, Virginia. I thought this book was good because I like historical genres. The reading age would probably be 4th grade and up. Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13, 1743 in Williamsburg, Virginia. Jefferson wrote the first draft of The Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson was the first Secretary of State for George Washington, Vice President for John Adams, and President. What will Thomas Jefferson do during his presidency? Read the book to find out!!!!!
