I should have just gone back home and played it safe. But, I couldn’t walk away.
None of the Country Club boys I knew had ever made me feel this way. Those eyes… those lips… those hands… I wanted him like I’d never wanted anyone else. My parents would disapprove, but I didn’t care. I’d moved to the bad side of town to make a difference. But I didn’t expect that the one who was going to change would be me.
Ryder was a biker with a chip on his shoulder as big as his tattoo. And I had visions of saving the world. Would I be able to do it?
Hope Stone is avid reader and writer of dark and gritty romance books. Hope's pulse pounding stories are filled with intense action, heat, irresistible alphas and feisty women. Grab a FREE copy of the Guardians Of Mayhem MC Prequel --> https://hopestonereaders.com/guardian...
This is the first book in the series and the first book by Hope Stone and I can honestly say that it will not be the last book of hers that I read.
Paige is from a wealthy family and has grown up with all the trappings of wealth but she wants to help people that are less fortunate that her which doesn’t please her family and they are opposed to the way that she wants to live her life. Moving into a rough neighbourhood she is determined to make a difference, she has a job working at a diner and that is where she meets Ryder for the first time with his sister and the chemistry between them is apparent from the start, but not everyone is happy about their growing relationship and soon Paige finds herself in danger can Ryder protect her and will she accept his help?
Ryder has spent his life on the wrong side of the tracks and has built a life for himself as a mechanic and is part of the Outlaw Souls MC, he meets Paige at the local diner with his younger sister and is drawn to her in a way he has never felt before and feels that she needs his protection but he feels unworthy of her and tries to stay away but when they keep coming back to one another is fate trying to tell him something? But when tragedy strikes will they realise how much they love each other?
This was a pull you in from the first page book with danger, intrigue and it keeps you enthralled all the way through, cannot wait to read more from this series. 4.5* read for me. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Paige's world turns on its axis in many ways since leaving the comfort of her family home. She has a mutually electric attraction to Ryder but that is just the beginning. There are soap operas with less action and drama but that's what keeps the pages turning.
There are multiple times when I feared the book would cross some truly dark lines. It definitely touches on many terrible topics: multiple kinds of assault, kidnapping, human trafficking, and general violence. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A thrilling adventure with Dangerous twists & turns! Great start to an amazing series❤ I Completed this in 5hrs.
eBook copy received for a honest review.
Whoa, what a prequel! It was so sad.. I was so excited to know About Ryder here! He & his sis-Lily lost their parents just a few days before his 18th birthday, he needed a job and Outlaw soul's took him in.
Now he's 23 + Lily's on the rebellious stage being 16, dating scorpion(he's a good guy!) from the rival gang(Very Bad). He met Paige when she was waitressing at Tiny's.
Paige came from a rich family, she wanted to be a social worker & make a difference, so she came here in La playa. Her sis-Bailey is also 16, going through a pretty similar rebellious stage.
Paige & Ryder's attraction was instantaneous, but both avoided meeting as there's a lot going on in both of their lives. Their sisters rebels, Her finding a job, while he manages MC problems.
Until that kiss..Then the day of the concert, when they find that their sisters have befriended(wow!). Even fate was bringing them together many times, so he finally asked her on a date!
But, then the Concert Chaos happened. Bailey & lily went missing. (Omfg..Paige was attacked..this lead to many revealtion about her family, I really like them, they're good!)
Ryder, Paige &, her family were worried sick, They were going in a circle.. there, Scorpion was such a help in finding a lead! It's sad when people take your sis to revenge you..for such a petty reason!! When family betrays..
That was quite a dangerous time.. Outlaw's helped, but Its Admirable how Ryder single handedly saved Lily, Bailey❤ AND Paige..She just wanted to help but had been caught. God I was so distraught, thinking something happened to her! Ryder saved her in the nick of time.
Cue Delicious times and HEA! They Don't know where their relation will take them, but they'll find out. Together.
The epilogue was amazing! Both girls have become besties ;-) and I loved seeing how great everything's going in Paige's work & personal life with Ryder❤
The two mcs barely knew each other, insta love, cringe worthy dialogue and by the time we eventually got to the only sex scene at 90% I was thoroughly bored n skimmed.
The storyline had so many plot holes I cant be bothered to type them, but seriously, talk about suspend disbelief!
Just another copy of another biker book cant someone come up with something unique?
This was click bait for me on FB. I read the blurb and thought I would enjoy it. It just didn't work for me AT ALL. Very juvenile and down right strange, like the author couldn't decide if this was a weird fraternity of an MC.
Ryder is the first book in the Outlaw Souls series by Hope Stone. So I have read and own a number of Hope Stone's books, actually almost all of them, and was really looking forward to reading Ryder and seeing how she handled an Outlaw MC story-line. Well I am on the fence about Ryder. There were some good things and some bad things about this book. Good - it sets the stage and introduces characters for the rest of the series; it is fast-paced with action and intrigue; it is nicely written Bad - the main characters, Paige and Ryder, barely have any interaction and all of a sudden they can't stop obsessing about each other (I love insta-lust/love but it does not work well in a book of this length), it would have been better to have a longer build-up as they are also apart for a lot of time; I did not get the connection between them; there seemed to be a number of things happening which did not add to the story; for the story I thought it could have been shortened by about half and still not lost much So for me this book was okay but not what I had come to expect from a Hope Stone book. This is my opinion only and I realize that other readers will love this book. So to each there own. If you are already a fan of Hope Stone then pick Ryder up and see if you like it. But if you have not read any of Hope's books yet then start with another one.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I feel bad writing this. But man this book was bad. I wanted not to finish but I hate stopping mid book, even terrible ones.
The story is so random. Like painfully random. I feel like the bones of the story could work if it hadn’t been for stuff like the whole hair tie from the concert part. Like that seriously brought nothing to the story. The main characters barely talked to each other.
If one of my kids was missing (for less than 24 hours at this point) i wouldn’t be talking about business ideas with the other.
This would have been a great prequel book, it introduced us to the characters and took us on a wild ride but they never really connected. They spent more time apart and trying to figure out their lives than actually being together . Then once the action began and amped up it was over. I would love a second book that takes us through them as a couple and what happens when the two opposites get together. I enjoyed the writing and would happily read another book by Hope Stone.
The book was chaotic with zero development. Sad because it started out good.
Ryder and Paige have spent zero time together, hell Ryder avoids her and goes off to be with another woman. BUT there is a attraction? Paige, I liked her but again zero depth to their relationship just made the book uninteresting.
An MC is right there but he goes alone? Nothing made sense in this rescue. Instead of searching they have a party?
I have the bundle so I’ll continue - hope book 2 is better
I couldn’t finish this one. Characters are drawn with a very broad brush. Many stereotypes depicted. Spoiled rich girl. Hispanic tough guy with the troubled past. Bikers. I like MC books, but this one just rubbed me the wrong way.
Hope this a fabulous book. I read the prequel and it was so sad but definitely worth reading before this book. It brings the whole realistic factor into play. Ryder well I mean wow he really step up ! He seems to be a really great guy even through all his struggles.
Paige you would think is an entitled stickup brat but she is the complete opposite. She really and truly wants to help women and children. She’s very sweet. And the secrets she finds out about her family...
I really enjoyed getting to know Ryder, Paige and their younger sisters. The whole thing is definitely something that could happen from MC, shoot outs, fighting, betrayal, sex trafficking, kidnapping and so much more!! I can’t wait for more...
I received this as an ARC and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This is one of those MC books that your glad you read and you can't wait to read the next one. Ryder he's brooding not the kind of guy you take home to momma he may look like walking sin with a case of oh no he's trouble but deep down he's good to those that he cares for and he would do anything for Paige even if she's his complete opposite even if she frustrates him and drives him crazy there chemistry isn't half bad either. Paige may be wealthy but she wants to change things and make a difference and Ryder is her crptonight plenty of people will try and take them down but they won't win. This has action heat and danger that you lean into threw every turn of the page.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout.
Is Romance- Action even a genre? If not then Hope stone created it. This book starts out as a love at first sight tale. I’m thinking this is going to be another book full of smut. It was not! This book is a fast read, loaded with action, and angst between Paige and Ryder. This is the first in the Outlaw Souls series and I’m still wanting to know what is going to happen next. I give Ryder a solid ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️.
I loved this book but then again, I love reading about MC clubs, especially when they have very hot bikers trying to prove that not all bikers are bad!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a good entertaining read. Great MC action although not as steamy as most in the genre. Parts seemed a little silly but I'll read more in the series to see how the authors writing grows.
Okay read... I found myself skimming through some pages just to get to a good part. Needed more of a build up between Ryder and Paige. enjoyed reading about their sisters and the boyfriend.. lots of MC drama. It's a Good read to introduce us to this MC series
This is a great beginning for Hope Stone's newest MC series. I enjoyed reading this and I'm looking forward to reading the next book. Ryder and Paige meet with "instalust" but really connect when they work together to find their sisters. This is romantic suspense with some scenes involving human trafficking but not too graphic and disturbing. I received an advance copy of this book from the author and this is my honest opinion and voluntary review.
Really enjoyed this first book of the new MC series! Loved Ryder and how protective he has been of his sister Lily ever since their parents died. He worked hard and tried to give her everything she needed growing up.
Paige grew up very privileged but wanted to give back to those less fortunate then she. She moved to a rough part of town and started working in a diner where she met Ryder. There was instant chemistry. Ryder didn’t think he was good enough for Paige plus he thought her time in his neighbourhood was just a passing fancy to her. Their sisters meet by chance and that’s when things get interesting! Couldn’t put the book down until the end.
I’m looking forward to the other characters getting their stories and how the neighbourhood is going to change not only through the MC club but through Paige and her new venture.
I received an arc copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
It only took one look from Ryder to take Page down.
She should have just gone back home and played it safe. But, she couldn't walk away.
None of the Country Club boys her knew had ever made me feel this way. Those eyes... those lips... those hands... she wanted him like she'd never wanted anyone else. Her parents would disapprove, but she didn't care. She'd move to the bad side of town to make a difference. But she didn't expect that the one who was going to change would be hers.
Ryder was a biker with a chip on his shoulder as big as his tattoo. And she had visions of saving the world. Would she be able to do it?
Or would he end up saving her instead?
Ryder is the first book in the Outlaw Souls series by Hope Stone. This is the first book by Hope Stone that I have ever read and I can honestly say that this isn't going to be the last. I enjoyed this book.
Coming from a wealthy family Paige grew up with everything she could ever want. But, she didn't grow up to be entitled, now she wants to help those who are less fortunate and don't have all the trappings she grew up with and this doesn't make her family happy and they keep trying to force Paige to change the way she is living her life.
This just makes Paige even more determined to help even more people so she moves into a rough neighborhood, and takes a job at a diner and it's there that she meets Ryder when he comes into the diner with his sister. And from the first moment, you can feel the chemistry between them jumping off the page. Sadly everyone isn't happy about the relationship that's growing between Paige and Ryder.
Paige quickly finds herself in danger. Is Ryder able to keep Paige safe and protect her from all the danger that surrounds her? Is she going to open up and accept the help from Ryder?
Having spent his entire life on what everyone called the wrong side of the tracks, he was still able to build a life for himself that he was happy with. Now he's a mechanic and is part of the Outlaw Souls MC. When he is at the local diner with his sister he meets Paige and he's drawn to her in ways that he's never felt in ways he's never felt before. And he also feels like she needs to be protected. And still, he feels like he's unworthy of her because of her upbringing and he fights to stay away from her. And yet they keep coming back together over and over again, almost like fate itself is bringing them together.
Will they finally realize how much they really love each other after a tragedy befalls them?
Hope Stone's writing has the magic to pull you in from the very first word. The way she weaves in danger, love, and intrigue keeps you engrossed in the entire book. I can't wait to read the next book and find out what happens next and I can't wait to read the entire series.
so you have the MMC who is taking care of a 16 year old sister who apparently is trying to date a prospect of a another MC that does a lot of shady shit including human trafficking. she doesn't believe him. then you have the FMC who lives in a $3 million house with her parents and a 16 year old sister who decided to go to a college in a rougher neighborhood and also worked volunteering at the free clinic which magically makes her a tough chick supposedly and she decides that she needs to move out and to the seeder side of town to help people. she's going to do this by moving to a place that she didn't research at all in order to search any of the gangs or local situations going on and assume that none of them were there. she also assumed that she was going to move into this place get a job at a diner while she was waiting to get a job with a non-profit. she assumed that by living in these places that she was more likely to get a job and a nonprofit which normally isn't the case. the diner she got a job at is across the street from the bar that the mmc's club meets out of. he went with his sister to the diner and that's where he met the FMC. on her second day of work she had gone a call from one of the non-profits she put an application into to come in for an interview and she went to the diner and she was going to do the interview on her lunch break but it just so happened to be a really busy day and she never got to go to the interview because they told her she couldn't take a break or she could leave and she chose this day... during this time her car gets towed because she left it at the gas stations parking lot instead of her work parking lot cuz they were busy. she met the MMC in the parking lot and he gave her a ride home and told her that she lives in a very shitty place and she shouldn't live there. but she's so tough and she knows what she's doing even though she complained about the noise of the apartment and she was also very tstl too stupid to live talking about how she didn't even realize there were motorcycle clubs and gangs in the area but yeah okay. but anyways so.i dnfd because by 20% she still didn't actually say what she was going to try to do to help these people. considering she could have gotten a job at one of these nonprofits before she moved out of her parents' house but she made the excuse that she thought that they wouldn't hire her because her parents' houses were three million dollars which still makes no fucking sense but whatever I guess

The story itself (like the plot, descriptions, ect. was good! However, the main characters spent more time with other people than they did together and they had maybe 2 or 3 scenes that they interacted with each other, and it wasn’t like an interaction. They were contemplating if they “loved” the other after these three or so times. One was when they met, (not a whole lot was said, just a “feeling” then when he gave her a ride. (Not a whole lot said again, just about where she lived.) The next time was him dodging her (so doesn’t count...) they then they had dinner...with their sisters where he asked her on a date...said date never happened in the book before it was like the end of the book. She trusts him to find her and his sister after this limited a amount of time. She knows next to nothing about this guy. Another thing...the MCh parents were worried before they were found, then she’s found and being looked at at the hospital and they are okay with not coming to the hospital to check on their 16 year old daughter but we’re sooo worried when she went missing. Plus, we never got to see her idea come to light even though the whole reason she moved in the first place was to “make a difference.” That didn’t make sense to me either. She didn’t need to put herself in danger jus to “see” what life was like for “them” idk. it could’ve definitely been better had more time, thought and realism were added! There wasn’t much of the story of the characters actually together, together. Just basically how they met. The writing was good, no errors that I saw. Book ended at 93%
2.5⭐️ This book wasn’t bad butttt it wasn’t great, it was meh.
The reason I feel this book wasn’t that great is because of how short the story was. This book had a good plot and a good idea. However, it seemed WAY too short for my liking. There was so much more she could have done with this book. Made it longer, drawn out the characters relationship, got more in depth about the president and his relationship, have the two characters connect more physically, and just make each character MATTER in the story.
The main issue I noticed was that the main characters didn’t even really grow in their relationship. They thought about each other a lot, they thought each other was attractive, they ogled at each other from a distance, they had one make out session, and one kiss. After that, it was all about saving their sisters and nothing about them. They were even separated in the book for a few chapters. Then at the end (I think the final chapter), they had sex and I didn’t feel like there was a lot of build up to it. So it kind of seemed “meh” to me. The author could have done A LOT more with this book so I was disappointed.
Also, I saw that she actually wrote the SAME EXACT paragraphs to describe Pedra. She literally copied and pasted the same paragraph in 2 separate parts of the book. I hate that because it seems like she didn’t really care about the character or even cared about writing something different. I felt it was lazy as an author and I wasn’t impressed (sorry, I guess that is one of my pet peeves🤷♀️).
I truly feel like she fell FLAT on this story. Which is sad because it had so much potential.
Would I read this book again knowing what I do now? Nope🙅🏼♀️

Ryder: An MC Romance (Outlaw Souls Book 1) By Hope Stone. 5 Stars*****
Ryder is Pulse Pounding Good!!! Exciting doesn't even come close to how good this story is.
Ryder is the V.P. of the Outlaw Souls MC. He is such a sexy, strong , take the lead type of man but also deadly, especially if you messed with either his MC family or his little sister.
Paige is a sweet determined woman. She's a waitress at a restaurant in a run down area of La Playa while looking for her dream job. On day one she is stunned and captivated by a tall dark handsome customer, lol she hasn't a clue she's about to get wrapped up in something dangerous.
Rival clubs, broken brothers trust by a father figure, disappointments, little sisters, kidnappings and emotional, whether in the form of anger or love, this book has it all..
I have voluntarily read and I'm voluntarily leaving a review for this book. Reviewer for Nook Books and More Blog.
This is an awesome start to a great series. Ryder is taking care of his sister because they lost both of their parents years ago and Ryder was 18 and stepped up to take care of Lily. He became part of the MC club called the Outlaw Souls. They have become his family and wants Lily to have a better life. Lily falls for another MC club member which Ryder doesn’t like and tries to talk to her when he sees Paige. Paige is from another town an hour away and wants to make a difference in the world so she moves to where she can help others but sees Ryder and falls for him with a few simple words. They aren’t close to being a thing till the end but the dancing and feelings are all throughout this book. Things happen and it’s a domino affect. The sister’s get kidnapped and held. Ryder gets all dominant over everything because he doesn’t really get a choice. Paige is close to being harmed and the stress doesn’t stop. It’s a fast pace book which I love. Great job can’t wait to read the next one.
Hope is a master of story telling slow burn. The sizzle that builds throughout this story then becomes a roaring fire. Paige is the properly raised good girl who wants to make a difference In the world by moving to the opposite side of the tracks to work in a less privileged community than she grew up in. Ryder was forced to live in that less than privileged neighborhood after his parents were tragically killed and he’s left to raise his younger sister. He made the best of his life by becoming a mechanic and member the Outlaw Souls MC. After they meet once when he and his sister are eating breakfast at the diner she now works at, neither of them can stop thinking of each other. Situations bring them back together over and over even if they say they try to avoid each other. When more tragedy strikes, they both realize how much they care about each other, but is it too late?
OMG. I am not sure where to start other than once I did start reading I couldn't stop until I reached the end. This book will grab onto you and not let you go until the final word. Paige is from a well of LA neighborhood, but she really wants to be able to help people who aren't as well off. She winds up moving to La Playa and starts waitressing at a diner there, much against her parents wishes. On her first day, she encounters Ryder, who is the VP of the Outlaw Souls MC club. From the first moment they lay eyes on each other the sparks fly. From that moment on there is none stop action with a bombing, a kidnapping, a few fights, a reconciliation, and some new beginnings plus a couple of other surprises thrown in. I am usually not a fan of MC books, but I loved this one.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
