Caroline and Joe were best friends growing up and promised to love each other forever. When Joe and his family suddenly skip town, he doesn’t get the chance to say goodbye to her, and they lose contact. Caroline’s only real friend is Margaret, a little old lady who owns an Inn, a place that Caroline knew very well growing up.
Years later, the company Joe works for sends him back to his hometown for reasons unknown to him. And of all places for him to stay, it’s Margaret’s Inn.
Only, Joe knows it as something different; to him, Margaret’s Inn was once known as home.
Join Caroline and Joe as they rekindle A Forgotten Flame, and dive deep into a mystery involving Margaret’s unexpected past, at the same time.
This is really a short novella but packs a big punch. Long on drama with plenty of steam. This book is hard to put down once you begin and is easily read in one sitting. Joe and Caroline are childhood friends who recently rekindled their love. Caroline inherits her friend Margaret's estate but things get a little complicated when her son returns claiming it is his. A quick read that has some twists and surprises. I read a free copy via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.
Child hood friends made a promise to love each other forever . Years past and Joe came back to his neighborhood where he tought he will find Dolores who later change he name to Caroline to get away from her parents mess divorced. Overall the book is ok read .
The storyline is good. But the writing style is choppy, juvenile and contradictory. I plan to read the next book in the series and see what I think. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
