We knew she was an innocent in our war, that she didn’t deserve our rage, our violence, but we didn’t care. Nothing would stop us from getting justice for our family.

Until something changed... and her cries of fear turned into cries of pleasure.

Slowly, bringing us, one, by one to our knees, making us fall for the enemy. But feelings aside someone had to pay for the damage that had been done, blood had been drawn, people had been killed and Jessa no matter how we felt about her she would be the one to suffer.

This is getting better.
Super intense.
Jessa was sick, so they had to take her to the hospital.
Jessa's father's men caught them, and now?
Can they get out of this alive?
The bond between Jessa, Trey, Wes and Declan are getting deeper.
Trey and Wes accept that since the beginning, Declan just can't admit he's falling for his enemy's daughter...
The relationship between the four of them is hot.

After I really enjoyed reading #Stolen, book 1 in the #VowOfRevenge series by #DarcyRose I was really looking forward to Captive. Especially because the dynamics between the characters were slowly shifting in book 1.
I really enjoyed reading #Captive as well! Jessa grew a little bolder in this book, she actively seeked out the brothers and it felt like she knew what she wanted. This little boost in confidence was something I really liked seeing.
However, I must admit that I enjoyed Stolen a little bit more. Not because something was wrong with the storyline, but because Trey’s POV was really the one I enjoyed the least. Trey is a flirt and he is a big charmer. I love the interactions with his brothers and how he treated Jessa. However, he was also the easiest of the guys. The one that needed least convincing, because he had basically fallen for Jessa and wanted her the first second he laid eyes on her. So, what made the book the “weakest” in the trilogy for me was the lack of conflict. At the same time I knew before starting book 3 that the conflict within the male character’s thoughts would make #Bound my favourite book in the series and after the ending of book 2, I knew I needed to get to that one ASAP.

4.5 stars - more deeper than darker

POV: multiple
HUMOR: no
F BOMBS: yes
CLIFFHANGER: yes
NEW AUTHOR FOR ME: no
TRIGGERS: yes

This is book/part 2 of 3; it continues where book/part 1 left off. Books must be read in order.

A miscalculated burglary. A kidnapping gone wrong. An unexpected turn of events. Now they have to convince her. Persuade her to change, to see what they see, to know what they know, to experience what they've experienced. To change sides. But is their truth the real truth? Will the captive be the only one changing? or will her innocence and willingness to reach the light in their darkness change something deeper in them (the captors)?

Steamy, tender, but short. Again, great story and excellent writing but would've like all of these parts to be in one book rather than three.

Well this book was hot. SO VERY HOT! Even though it seemed to be short, it was to the point. Now that the guys have made a decision on what they are going to do with Jessa. This all gets very interesting. Jessa is trying to resist the guys. Her mind it trying but her heart and body is not listening. She seems to react to their touch. She thinks that her father will come and save her however, that may change after he gets his message. The dynamics of the guys have seemed to shift. Wes and Trey start to feel for her and Declan is fighting the feelings. What will she do when she finds out the truth about her dad? Will she fight it or finally believe the guys. Now it is getting real with them and it seems like the last to get on board is Declan. What is going to happen now? We have to wait to find out.

Declan, Trey and West realize that taking Jessa hasn’t had the reaction they expected from her father, in fact it is the complete opposite. They decide to up the ante and that is when the sparks really fly. Trey and Wes are starting to develop feelings for her but Declan is determined to keep her at a distance however he may just realize that she makes a better ally than enemy.

Hot chemistry in spite of themselves with a little suspense all lead up to a cliffhanger that leaves us needing to know what the future holds for Jessa and the brothers.

Captive is the second book in the Vow of Revenge Trilogy.
This book is a continuation of Jessa's story. Now she is being held captive by Declan, Wes and Trey. They're trying to get Jessa's father attention, but their plans are not working in their favor. They start involving Jessa more in what happens, in order to get her help, but there are some unexpected things which happen. It ends on a cliffhanger, so you need to have the 3rd book to find out what happens in the end.
It was a short part of the story, not so dark for my taste, but definitely taboo and kinky which it will make you blush.

Thrilling and steamy

Jessa and the guys' story continues in the vow of retribution with blossoming feelings all around. Again, I liked the sweet heroine, Jessa, who comes into awareness, as well as the alpha males, gruff Declan in particular. Fast pace, ultra steamy with a bit of a thriller story made for an enjoyable read.

This is an interesting book, didn’t see too many actual reviews though. Book 1 ended abruptly and I was very interested to see what happened. However this really seems like a money grab. All 3 of these books actually amount to possibly 1 book. This should not have been a trilogy. Also the passage of time….I hate instalove stories. She is a sheltered virgin, who immediately jumps into a sexual relationship with her captors. She seemingly has no prior relationship history, which doesn’t bother me, but the every person who comes across her has to have her is a bit much. Also she has been with them less than a week, and already trusts them for unprotected sex? This book seems like it belongs on wattpad vs an actual book. If I knew this was just pure smut I wouldn’t be so upset but I thought this had an actual storyline
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

The story continues, and it is darker and hotter than ever

Captive is book two in Darcy Rose's Vow of Revenge trilogy. You can see my review of Stolen, book one at https://www.theupstairslibrary.com/bo.... Captive, in a way, puts Stolen to shame - it is darker, it has more steam, it is definitely not for the faint of heart. It certainly takes things to a new level, which is just what a sequel should do.

We are still following Jessa, who was taken captive by three brothers, Declan, Wes and Trey. They stole her as an act of revenge against her father, who destroyed their family. At first, their sole thought is to use her and hurt her father in the process. They don't count on the fact that her father doesn't really care. In fact, her life is now forfeit, just like theirs. They have put her at risk with their gamble - it didn't pay off like they expected it to. And as they grow closer to Jessa, and as things heat up between the four of them, there is still a lot of conflicting feelings. What should they do with her now that her father doesn't want her back? Are they starting to fall for her? Is she starting to fall for them? Where can any of this lead but disaster?

I liked book two in this trilogy. Things are definitely amped up - both inside and outside of the bedroom. We see more of the characters' feelings and see more of their inner turmoil. We get to know the broodiest of the brothers, Declan, a bit better, and we see a more human side to him, and to all of the brothers. Once again, I will remark on how this is a dark reverse harem romance. It's not for everyone. But I certainly liked it and can't wait to read the third and final instalment in the story.

Captive is the continuing story of the Cameron brothers Declan,Trey and Wes and their revenge against Jonathan Richards for their parents and sister murder and rape. After breaking in to what was to be his empty house looking for a flash drive they discover his daughter Jessa home. Walking away without the drive they take her as part of their revenge and levage. Now as days go by she is fighting her feelings her head knows being with them is wrong but her body is telling/ reacting completely opposite. It has been fascinating to watch the brothers fight their inner demons concerning her. Then in a blink of an eye her world comes crashing down around her and she finds herself in a life and death situation running for her life.
The journey of Jessa and the Cameron brothers isn't a typical one it's deeper, darker, dirtier, more intense with twists and turns and betrayals that you won't see coming. It's also tender, caring, loving and yes beautiful at times so get ready and buckle up for a hot steamy beautiful rollercoaster ride you won't want to end!

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, and shenanigans the good kind that makes you keep turning the pages till last page has been turned. Jessa is/was extremely sheltered from homeschooling to everything being controlled by her dad who took everything from the sexy brothers Declan, Wes and Trey so they decided to take Jessa for revenge purposes so question is will they get their revenge or will it be something entirely different and is their happiness there for them despite what brought them together that was book one now this one well lets say the boys are questioning their reasoning for even taking her well Wes and Trey and Declan is working all my nerves because he is so focused on his pain he can't see past to realize he, his brothers and her father are one and the same hurting innocent people to achieve what is the question can't wait for the third book...hopefully it is the conclusion can't wait

I am writing my review for Captive and Bound as one :)
Absolutely loved this trilogy! By far one of my favorite. These books are RH dark romance, short stories.

Declan, Trey and Wes—three brothers—kidnap Jessa as revenge against her father. They wanted her blood, what they got instead... they weren’t prepared for. Things don’t always turn out as we plan. This story is a sure sign of that.

The chemistry the brothers and Jessa share is so rare and beautiful. I have to say, Declan is my favorite. They are all alphas but he’s the true protector of them all. I was dying for his POV so, I was so excited when I opened Bound.

I was on my toes throughout almost the entire third book in the trilogy. I couldn’t read fast enough. I was not expecting the ending at all! I did not want the story to end.

The sex scenes were so descriptive. Loved it! Had to fan myself off quite a few times. They were beyond HOT!

If you are into RH/DR I highly suggest this trilogy. You won’t be disappointed. Darcy Rose is an amazing author and her writing pulls you right in from the beginning!

Holy Effing Hell...... With book two we see Jessa is being held captive by the Wes, Trey, and Declan. The three have taken her and held her captive in order to get what they want from her father. Only they find that Jessa's father will not give in to their demands an has no plans on getting his daughter back. He plans on keeping what is his and letting his family go if that what it takes to keep him where he is at.

Then the brothers tell Jessa the truth about her father and she does not believe them. She just knows that her father is coming for her to save her. When the truth comes out Jessa will have to decide on what she wants to do. Will she stay captive or try and escape and be killed? What will Jessa do when trouble is at their door step. Will she protect the brothers or will she leave them to their own vices.

This is the first book I have read in the series and although the storyline is understandable, I would not consider it a standalone. I would also caution those with triggers to read with care. Trey, Wes and Declan are brothers seeking revenge against Jonathan Richards for committing heinous crimes against their parents and sister. They feel it best to take something for leverage and wind up with Jessa, Jonathan Richards’ daughter. However, the brothers seem to have made a slight miscalculation. The writing style by Ms. Rose will have the reader feeling all of the turmoil the characters are going through. Overall, this is one darker than dark romance with twists and turns, betrayal and steam thrown in. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next installment of this series to see where the journey leads!

The excellent storyline and writing continues to captivate in this book, so many emotions swirl around. When the Cameron brothers could not find the flash drive, they were searching for they took their target Jonathan Richards's daughter Jessa. As the brothers Declan, Trey and Wes continue their terrible treatment of Jessa and using her to force her father's hand, their emotions keep surfacing and while Declan is doing his best to ignore and fight his feelings, Wes and Trey start to accept that they just can't kill Jessa.

Jessa is determined to resist them but her body reacts to their touch, while she hopes her father will come rescue her. When her father refuses to answer the Cameron brothers' demands, its time to reevaluate the plan. Exited for the final book in the series.

Our heroine may be a pawn in our heroes' revenge plot, but pawns have power as well. Can our heroes stay true to their course?

This is book two of a trilogy, so I recommend starting at the beginning. Note that this book also ends in a cliffhanger.

This is a short erotic story with a dark ménage theme. The story is well written and easy to read with a fairly straightforward plot that is nonetheless very engaging. While this is, nominally, a revenge plot, the main story focuses on our heroine and her relationship, such as it is, with her captors. The story is kind of dark at times, but there is also a hint of something more to come. We also get plenty of steam, which is highly enjoyable. Overall, the story continues to be enjoyable and I look forward to seeing where it ends.

Highly recommended.

This the continuation of Jessa, Wes, Trey, and Declan. Trey and Wes are drawn to Jessa and Declan is fighting the attraction. The boys are out for revenge against Jessa's father for what he did to their family. There are dark and rough times and there are caring and warm parts. This is truly and up and down. Then there is the problem with Jessa's dad and when she finds out how will she handle that. This is just a great book, its up and down and takes you all around. Great characters, same ones from the first book, and the story is wonderful and you just keep reading to find out what happens. I cannot wait for the final book.

This book was the most emotionally triggering of the series, Declan, Wes, and Trey and even Jessa are all still figuring out what they mean to each other. There is a strong bond between the brothers not just because they're siblings but because tragedy has strengthened their bond and Jessa has them all fighting some internal battle of feelings they weren't prepared for. All their decisions need to be made with caution its a life or death situation, a tug of war between who can get to whom first the brothers or Jessa's father and once they get their revenge is it what they hoped it would be?

This series gets better and better, it’s sexy, hot and still full of intrigue, to say this book is intense is an understatement. The relationship between Jessa and the Cameron brothers Wes, Trey, and Declan is a twisted one, based on pain and pleasure, the brothers want to debase her but also show her tenderness. What happens when Jessa’s trust is tested??? Who will survive??? You really need to read this series to understand how amazing and addictive it is. I was given this as an ARC by the author in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was totally happy to provide.

Alrighty, I thought the first in this series was good but this one is even better!! The story has officially heated up now and is wide open. There's steaminess, pleasure punishments, suspense and a wild ending cliffhanger. It's a quick read and cuts right to the chase.

Wes,Trey and Declan are winning me over more and more. They aren't all that gruff deep down and I'm sure Jessa will break all those walls down eventually.

Intense story!

The plot is thickening and the intensity has been turned up. Lots of twists and turns are being thrown in throughout to throw us off, keeping us from figuring out how Jessa’s story is going to end.

It’s thrilling, sexy, steamy and will have your panties melting over and over again. The sparks are flying between the characters keeping us readers on the edges of our seats hoping for an HEA!

Be ready because this one has one hell of a cliffhanger ending! I can’t wait to see how it all turns out.

Holy Moly Batman! I had to type this out as soon as I finished because this was one step up from Stolen.

Jessa discovers more about her dad but is still in denial while also caring about the brothers. It all breaks loose when she gets sick and she finally sees what they were trying to tell her from the beginning.

It's action-packed and naughty and dirty when it comes to the men but so so good. I devoured this in one sitting and now I can't wait for the conclusion.

Things turn more sinister for Jessa (FMC) in Book 2 in this series. When her father doesn't react to her kidnapping the way he's expected too. Jessa is stuck in the middle of a power play between her father and the guys - Trey, Wes and Declan. Declan swings from annoying to down right dirty in this book. In fact all the guys turn up the steam level in this one and boy did I love it!! I'm completely gripped by this series and I'm dying for the next book now

This is the second book in the series, and in this one we get to see how much of a douche canoe Jessa's dad really is. We also get to see Trey and Wes start to really soften towards her. Declan is still really skeptical, but I have a feeling that will change in the last book.

Just like it was in the first one, the sex scenes are great and I love the chemistry the characters have together.
