Cassidy I'm a journalist who knows how to keep her distance from her subject. At least, I always did before I wound up in this lost little mountain county. I'm doing a story on the fire department, and that puts me in the charge of the battalion commander. The more I get to know him the more I see that his rugged hero charm is the farthest thing from an act. Falling for him is the last thing I can afford to do. But it's starting to happen anyway. Logan I'd fight my way through hell for my brothers at the fire station. That's why I agreed to play chaperone and keep this reporter off their backs. It's my job to protect them. But the minute we meet, I know I'm in trouble. She has a body I can't ignore. Her smile is a mystery I have to solve. When I look in her eyes, I just want to know what makes her tick. We're stuck together for two days, and I have no idea how I'm going to make it through. Lost Mountain Fire & Rescue is a series of sweet and steamy short romances about sexy firefighters, beautiful scenery, small-town warmth, and happily ever afters. Logan is the first book in the series, but don't worry, this is a standalone romance complete with HEA and NO cliffhangers! If you like instalove short romances about alpha heroes and curvy heroines, you'll love this series.

I'm a long-time reader of romance, recently turned author. I love writing about beautiful places, interesting and flawed people, and happy endings. I'm addicted to the feeling that someone somewhere has had their mood brightened a little by something I wrote, so if today that might be you, just know that I'm thrilled you let me be a part of your day.

I love hearing from readers. Drop me a note at valenciahess@cornerreads.com anytime.

Lost Mountain Fire and Rescue At Your Service!

I’ve never read this authors writing before and while it was a little slow in the beginning I eventually began to find it enjoyable. It’d be silly of me to say that this wasn’t a good book simply because Logan’s sexiness and masculinity made me curious where he an Cassidy ( a local journalist with a ruthless reputation assigned to write an article about the Fire House). I think what the reader will discover about Logan and Cassidy is the chemistry and tension between them began on at first meeting and only grew stronger the more time they spent together. In short this first adventure in the Lost Mountain Fire and Rescue series has all the feels of a first responder romance with a satisfying HEA.

Cassidy is a journalist that has uncovered numerous stories that have lead to exposing the fraud and theft in various organizations. Now she was a the fire station and the Chief is warry, so he puts Logan in charge of "showing" Cassidy around. There is a strong pull between Logan and Cassidy, but because she is there to find a story, he tell Cassidy they can't be friend..... except on weekends.

This is the first book I have read from the author and I am excited to have stumbled along her books. The characters are beautifully written, the story line pulls you in, it his light, funny with a bit of drama thrown in that will have you holding your breath.

Logan and Cassidy's story is a delight to read and I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

loved Logan. It was a great story about Lohan a firefighter captain and journalist Cassidy who was to do a feature on the fire Department.
It was Insta love all the way. Their mutual attraction was magnetic and very strong. The drama in the story wasn't much but there was a great deal of sexual tension along with should they? Shouldn't they? Back and forth. Still a fantastic story that I'm excited to read others in the series.
This was an ARC and this is my honest review.

This was a great kick off to a new series that I found to be a great quick read. The plot wasn’t the most original, the characters definitely had a lot of chemistry that made for some steamy moments. The work was quick but had the goods to provide a satisfying story.

I give this work a four out of five stars.

OMG, this was such an awesome story! Logan and Cassidy had quite the chemistry, with the kind of fire you don’t wanna put out lol. The only problem was that the book didn’t last longer lol. Can’t wait to see what’s in store next for the other guys!

This is a sweet and sexy read about a firefighter and a reporter. Logan is in charge of showing Cassidy around town for her most recent article. The connection built between these two is wonderful. These characters are easy to love and root for.

An instant attraction that only builds over time they are spent working together. Cute storyline of Logan and Cassidy, shadowing for a cover story and he’s given the task of keeping her occupied and finding if she has ulterior motives. Good connection with chemistry that’s roaring hot.

I really enjoyed the first book in the lost mountain fire and rescue series. It introduces us to a working situation that is real and shows a way to make it work! Can't wait to read the rest!

Such a great quick love story. To find instant attraction in the most unlikely places is what happens to Cassidy and Logan. Trying to deny never works, glad they realized that it's so much better when you don't deny.
