This is a good cookbook for your average new air fryer devotee. I appreciated the nutritional information and the notes about how to convert the recipes to vegan, gluten free, and so on. Those two elements earned an extra star from me.

I found it relied too much on processed carbs for my tastes. Most recipes call for white flour or replacing it with a gluten free blend, which is generally white rice flour and highly processed starches. Per my doctor's recommendation, I am trying to avoid these types of high starch foods. The meat recipes sometimes tend towards unhealthy choices like bacon crusted in sugar and pecans, so those are ones I will avoid as well. That left some nice vegetable dishes and a few egg ones, but not enough whole foods recipes to make it a book that I would purchase.

There are not a lot of photographs but the ones included are very nice.

Thank you Net Galley for an early release loan of this book.

I love my air fryer! Use it on a daily basis for everything from reheating pizza to making grilled cheese and everything in between. The recipes are quick meals but use good ingredients that most people eat, and have on hand and are perfect for weeknight dinners, easy brunches and yummy desserts.
This book is perfect in that it has lots of easy recipes in several different categories without the pages long blurbs about the farm that the cheese came from that you use in the recipe lol
Though this is written for a specific air fryer, I tried a couple of the recipes just to see if they would work without any adjustments and they did. And I liked the care tips and information on using an air fryer section at the beginning of the book.
I’ll be sure to grab this when it’s released in October.

The Ultimate Air Fryer Oven Cookbook (2021) byCoco Morante. A small label on the cover of this cookbook says this is the “Official Instant Book” for it’s air fryer oven The book contains 100 ”easy-to-make” recipes. I put quotation marks about the previous claim because I personally find most things dealing with the preparation of food to be difficult and time consuming. Still I was ready to give this book a try.
The book is, as are most cookbooks, broken down into chapters, nine in this case, each detailing various meals. We start with breakfast and brunch, move on to snacks and appetizers for the nibblers out there. In chapter three there is a selection of Vegetarian foods ranging from zucchini tarts to mushroom and poblano tacos. This chapter has 12 recipes and, while i’m not a vegetarian, the ones I sampled were tasty and not too complicated.
Following are chapters on beef and pork, another covering chicken and turkey, while a third features fish and seafood. Vegetable side dishes lead us into desserts (another dozen how-tos each more delectable that the previous) and finally more that 20 recipes for pantry items, the make ahead incidentals that come in so handy later on. I didn’t try any of these suggestions as our pantry is already well stocked and the labor didn’t seem with the outcome.
But all of that which I have mentioned can be found in standard cookbooks. What sets this apart is that the directions are specific to the air fryer oven. Instructions include approximate prep times, cooking times and the number of portions to expect. There is also nutritional information provided and how-tos on making your meal gluten free.
All of that is pretty standard stuff for a modern cookbook. But there are also sections on just how to use you air fryer oven including various cooking programs and presets, tools you should have on hand and plenty of FAQs including dos and don’ts.
There is a handy section on converting standard oven recipes for the air fryer. And the index is very complete to help you navigate this book’s various sections.
We have sampled several different recipes and found each surprisingly easy to make and enjoy. The directions for prep work and how to operate the machine to optimal cooking perfection were clear and fully understandable, and the results were tasty. While we may not use this device every day (we had to borrow our daughter-in-law’s machine to use the book) we are in the process of buying an Air Fryer Oven of our own. In the meantime, this cookbook will be heading in her direction.

Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) provided by the Author and Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an fair and honest review.

After suffering a heart attack last year I knew that I had to change my diet and exercise if I wanted to see my grandkids grow up and have families of their own. A big part to that change is eating healthier and as part of that, I got an Air Fryer. The instruction/menu booklet that came with it was, to put it mildly, dismal. It has next to no basic information . . . so I went looking for a cookbook that has both basic information and tasty recipes. This cookbook answered a lot of my questions and inspired me to try some new recipes and revisit some oldies cooked in a new way. Sometimes you have to just jump in with both feet and that's what I did. Committing to a new way of cooking and eating has been a challenge, but the health results are worth it.

This is a nice compilation of air fryer recipes, with information on how to use the appliance well. Keep in mind this was published by the Instant Pot company for use with their specific AF oven. Most recipes will work on other devices, but it is specifically written with that machine in mind for the directions. Nutritional information is provided for each recipe. There are photos for only about 1/4 of the recipes, which is a bit of a disappointment for me. I really wish cookbooks would provide a small photo for each recipe (it doesn't have to be an artificial perfect one that's styled) instead of giant, long-winded recipes and a few full-page photos. That said, there are lots of recipes and there should be something for everyone.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book via NetGalley.

I thought this was an OK cookbook. There is a nice selection of recipes included and what I felt were some very helpful types and tricks given. Visually I found the book lackluster. The recipe photos are few and far between; so don't expect to be wowed. If you are looking for something very basic and practical, this will do. As for myself, I'm someone that enjoys cooking and baking, loves to collect cookbooks and is just starting to explore using the air fryer, this book was more miss than hit. There are a few recipes that I might give a try but I won't be adding this to my collection. This is my frank, freely posted review.

This book actually surprised me in a lot of good ways. While I love my air fryer, I don’t know if I could ever justify getting an entire seperate air fryer oven, but most of these recipes could actually be made in either a regular over, regular air fryer, or conventional oven which makes me really happy.

With that said, the recipes also surprised me because a lot of them really caught my attention. There were some pretty standard favourites in the book as well as lot of recipes that were new to me with simple instructions and made from ingredients that I would usually have on hand anyways. In that way, this book is incredibly useable and is filled with a lot of recipes I actually look forward to trying. The book is broken down into really useful categories as well from breakfast, to poultry, to vegetables, etc. There are a ton of meat recipes for the meat lovers out there, but there are also lots of tips in the book for how to convert recipes into vegan or gluten free options which I also give them props for. I won’t say it’s the healthiest book on the planet, but the recipes in here actually seem quite good (and there is nutritional information for each one as well).

Beyond the recipes I also appreciate the pictures in here. While there isn’t a picture with every recipe, there are photos for a good chunk of them and they all make the recipes seem even more appetizing.

All that being said, while I don’t own an air fryer oven, this cookbook is actually a really good one regardless. I love the flavour profiles, the pictures, and the variation. While it isn’t full of a bunch of brand new and unheard of recipes, it has a good selection of recipes and it seems like the perfect book for dinner after a long workday. It surprised me, but I definitely think this is a book to look out for.

Thanks to the publishers and netgalley for a digital arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is an outstanding air fryer cookbook. It’s got breakfast, snacks and appetizers, vegetarian, beef & pork, cheese & turkey, fish & seafood, vegetable sides, dessert, and pantry chapters. It helpfully explains the different settings, like air fry vs bake, and goes through the presets the oven has for different foods like fries or chicken.
My favorites so far are: Baked Apple Oatmeal, Pecan Praline Candied Bacon (WOW), Arancini, Rotisserie Rubbed Pork Tenderloin and Potatoes, Slow-Cooked Chicken with Olives and Capers, Olive Oil Poached Shrimp, Maple Butter Squash, and Churros. I would have loved pictures for every recipe, there were a few pictures only.
All in all, a fairly comprehensive cookbook with interesting recipes I hadn’t seen before. 5 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

Well-written with easy-to-follow recipes especially designed for air fryer ovens. These appliances are larger and more versatile than basket style air fryers and this cookbook exploits the additional functions in numerous recipes. Another plus to this cookbook is that all recipes have gluten-free versions and many vegan or vegetarian versions. For anyone following those diets, this is probably the most interesting air fryer cookbook that I have found. Recipes contain the standard fries and buffalo wings variations regularly found with some original delicious ones. Recipes appear to be tested and have mouth watering photos. This cookbook is a winner. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Utimate Air Fryer Oven Cookbook is a machine tutorial guide with recipes developed and written by Coco Morante. Due out 12th Oct 2021 from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt on their Mariner imprint, it's 304 pages and will be available in paperback format.

I'm a real fan of new kitchen gadgets and machines, but many of them get bought and never used, at least in my family. Of the "new" kitchen machines in the last decade, the two that get used almost daily in my kitchen are my Instant Pot pressure cooker followed closely by my air fryer oven. I had some trouble in the beginning finding appropriate tested recipes which suited my air fryer oven. This compendium not only collects together a plethora of tasty and family-friendly home cooked recipes, but it also contains a primer for utilizing the Instant Pot air fryer oven that is better and much more comprehensive than the scanty instructions in the manual which came with my machine.

As stated, the intro/primer on use is comprehensive and very well written. The recipes themselves are grouped into chapters thematically: breakfast & brunch, snacks & appetizers, vegetarian, beef & pork, chicken & turkey, fish & seafood, vegetable sides, desserts, and pantry staples/partial ingredients. Recipes contain a title, yields, and description, ingredients in a bullet list sidebar, followed by step-by-step directions. Ingredients are given with American standard measures only. Tips and alternative presentations are given in a text box in the recipe. Special labels such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian are highlighted in a header in the recipe. Nutritional information is given and includes calories, fat, carbs, fiber, and protein. Ingredients will be easy to find at any moderately well stocked grocery store.

Roughly 1/4 of the recipes include a color photograph. I am a very visual cook and would have benefited from more comprehensive photos, but I know that photos and layout increase the cost of book projects very quickly. The photos which were included were attractively and professionally styled and serving suggestions were appealing.

The author has included a general chart with cooking times and temps (including temps in Celsius and Fahrenheit) for a number of different items, from asparagus to whitefish as well as an index.

Four stars. There's a lot to like here.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

This cookbook gives comprehensive instruction and recipes for the Omni Air Fryer Oven. Air Fryer Ovens are different than your regular Air Fryer as they have both top and bottom heating elements. The Air Fryer Oven referenced in this cookbook is the 18-26 -liter sizes The recipes will work in either size.
This cookbook has so much great information on how to use the Omni Air Fryer Oven and, how to use the different options on the machine in addition to the recipes. Such as the dehydrator, slow cooker, rotisserie, etc. each option on the Omni Air Fryer Oven is covered.
The cookbook also includes tips on what tools to use. Author Coco Morante then goes over sample questions you may have and provides the answers.
It is more than a cookbook! This book gives you valuable information on air fryer oven cooking.
The author has 100 recipes with tips on how to adapt to another oven or adapt your oven recipes to the Air Fryer Oven, with quantity and cooking time changes noted.
Starting with your first meal of the day to the very last she has recipes. Coco also includes vegetarian recipes and how to adapt all of the recipes for Gluten-free needs, even Dairy-Free variations. The nutritional information is also included for each recipe. Many recipes also include ingredient changes for adding variety.
Delicious recipes for breakfast/brunch, snacks and appetizers, meats and poultry, and desserts are covered that Coco created. Each recipe has detailed instructions that are easy to follow.
I am a picky eater and found many of the recipes very good. My testament to a recipe is if I make it a second time. The ones I tried I'll make again! There are ones I plan to try yet that sound very good.
In the back, she has a pantry section that gives you recipes for sauces, rubs, and seasoning mixes, bread crumbs and more. This is a section that will be used over and over. There is also a time, temperature, and rack position, chart for fresh or frozen foods.
I learned so much from this cookbook and even though I don't have that type of Air Fryer Oven I could adapt the recipes I tried to use in my Air Fryer. They were flavorful and not complicated. I will use the book as a reference over and over and I plan to try more recipes in the future.
I do recommend this cookbook and I thank NetGalley, Coco Morante, and the publishers HMH for allowing me to read and review this ARC. This is my honest opinion. I gave it 4 stars not 5 because it is so specific to the one Air Fryer Oven you do have to use your judgement when adapting to a regular air fryer but with so much other valuable tips and recipes it's well worth getting.

The Ultimate Air Fryer Oven Cookbook is such a happy find! We use our 25 litre air fryer oven nearly every day, often several times. But then I have always adored cooking and baking. This book is delectable from its information and tips to photograph and recipes. If this book doesn't inspire you, nothing will.

The author includes nutritional information, how to use each accessory and function (dehydrating tray, rotisserie, broiling, proofing, toasting, slow cooking) and practical tips. One of my favourite tip she describes is to always use a cleaning brush rather than a sponge...we learned this the harder way. Another is to use an oil spray bottle. Like her, we nearly always use tinfoil and parchment and silicone muffin cups. There is even a Q and A Section!

Onto the recipes...when reviewing cookbooks I like to cook a few recipes first. Sometimes about ten recipes in a book appeal to me but here? Nope. I would make every single one (or at least use them as inspiration). The Blueberry Yogurt Scones are excellent but we particularly enjoyed the Dutch Baby (with apple which is what we had on hand) and Cheddar and Green Onion Egg Bites. Due to health reasons I must eat gluten free and GF and Vegetarian options are included in this book. But oh, the Pecan Praline Candied Bacon! Even better than you can imagine. Tomorrow I will make Grilled Cheese Sandwiches for lunch and Pork Belly Bites for dinner. Thanksgiving dinner will include (at least) Blistered Carrots and Radishes. And that's just the beginning. The Chocolate Cupcakes with Chocolate Icing look superb!

How lovely it is to take a fresh look at our air fryer oven. This book got me excited about it all over again! You needn't excel at cooking to use this book. Not at all. The recipes are simple but delicious and the instructions very easy. There are loads of recipes and ideas for every palate and experience level.

My sincere thank you to Mariner Books and NetGalley for the privilege of reading (and drooling over) this wonderful, wonderful cookbook! I'm in love.

So I am fairly new to the air fryer phenomenon that seems to have swept across the world. I don't have the oven version but I have an air fryer 7-in -1 pot an air fryer grill. And I can see why they are so popular, they save me so much time sweating in the kitchen. The recipes in this book can be used in all variations which is great.

What I likes most about this book is that in the introduction section it explains what they are, what the different functions are used for, which I find on online forums are the things people usually struggle with. The author goes into details about what equipment can be useful to use alongside your air fryer and even a list of Do's and Don't, obviously showing someone who uses theirs and hasn't just decided to write a book about the subject, this comes through as you are reading. Even to how best to clean them, which is the worst part!

I tend to cook from scratch most of the time so am always looking for recipes and meal ideas, I also follow low calorie diet so some of the recipes are no good for me personally but could easily be adapted to suit. One of my favourite so far has been Rib-Eye or Strip Steak with herb butter, great easy instructions to follow and it tasted amazing.

Thank you for NetGalley to an advanced copy of this cookbook.

I received The Ultimate Air Fryer Oven Cookbook as part of a NetGalley giveaway.

Air Fryers are one of the hot tabletop appliances on the market these days and home chefs are constantly coming up with new ways to utilize them for cooking everyday foods in novel ways. While the idea of frying may bring together party foods, The Ultimate Air Fryer Oven Cookbook focuses more on traditional entrees and meal options.

I was pleasantly not to see a ton of junk food in this book, but instead a lot of meals that we could eat on a random weeknight. I'll say that a lot of the recipes require ingredients that are in fact other recipes in the book, so what looks like one recipe may actually be two, so be warned on that front, but if you're looking for ways to utilize your air fryer outside of, say, having friends over for the big game, this is a really good option.

Easy to follow beginner air fryer oven cookbook.

I dont have an airfryer oven, just an air fryer but the recipe still works, you might need to twek the time a bit though.

I tried:
-pecan praline candied bacon, it reminded me of those millionaire bacons served in brunch places, delicious.
- bacon wrapped pineapple bites, very delicious, my daughter is obsessed with bacon.
- miso glazed salmon, came out great, miso, ginger and brown sugar is a winning combo.
- cabbage wedges with soy sauce and butter: very good flavour combination, and air fried / baked cabbage is always so good
- steakhouse baked potatoes, definitely didn't take as long as 45 minutes in an airfryer, but the flavour was good.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for sending me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

I have a hard time with cookbooks. More often than not, I find one or two recipes I love while the others are either too "gourmet" or full of food I can't stand. This one does a great job of having several recipes I really enjoyed. I haven't made everything in this cookbook, but the things I have made have all been good. This is also an Instant Brands book, which means that if you have an Instant Brand Air Fryer, it will make it that much easier. I have tried the Scotch Eggs, which are fantastic, as well as the baked oatmeal. The recipes that include the rotisserie helped a lot, as I struggled using it with just the owners manual. I would definitely recommend this for air fryer owners, new and old alike!

Lots of useful information and good recipes whether you have the specific brand of air fryer oven this was written for, another brand or even a basket type fryer. The first chapter covers tools and accessories, do's and don'ts, pantry essentials and recipe conversions. It's worth the read. The recipes go from simple to more complex. It's a nice mix of familiar and not so everyday. They cover all the bases for meals, appetizers, snacks. The last section is called pantry and has recipes for sauces, mayos and seasonings. There are notes on variations and gluten free and dairy free substitutions. The book is thorough and clearly written. If you own a different air fryer oven or basket type air fryer you may need to make some adjustments, but there's plenty here to try.

This cookbook has recipes that run from pretty basic to a bit more exotic for all taste buds. It’s not a large cookbook, containing only 100 recipes. Nor is it vey glossy, providing very few photos. But it does have some good basic info and very nice detailed instructions. Nutritional info is provided as well as suggestions for taking recipes in different dietary directions (vegan for example). I have tried a few different recipes so far and have found them tasty and worth repeating. When it comes to cookbook I generally like a hard copy so that does affect my experience a bit. I think many people from beginners to experts will find something to appreciate in this cookbook.

Air frying is the hottest new thing in kitchen cooking. Everyone loves fried foods and are always looking for a healthier way to fry. Using an air fryer takes the oil out of frying for healthier food. This cookbook has great descriptions of the different cooking programs and how to use the presets on your machine. There is also a list with descriptions of the tools needed to use your air fryer and this book. There is also a frequently asked questions and answers section. This cookbook has recipes for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Everything from beef jerky to chicken fried steak to chocolate chip walnut oatmeal cookies. You will find something delicious for your family.

Lovely cover…. If you own an air fryer this is a great beginner guide with a variety of recipes that could appeal to pretty much everyone.

What did I like? The book starts off with an easy to use air fryer guide and cleaning methods since cleaning one is a pain no one enjoys. The recipes span snacks, breakfast, different meats, and desserts. Pictures however are sporadic but gorgeous. Easy to use recipes with some common pantry ingredients.

Would I recommend or buy? Yes gorgeous book and I love my air fryer! I bookmarked quite a few yummy looking recipes! Buy this if you air fry!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review!

Thanks to Mariner Books for a free, advanced copy of this book.

This air fryer cookbook has a lot going for it. It's full of beautiful pictures, tells how to convert traditional oven-baked recipes so they can be cooked in an air fryer, and it contains a wide variety of recipes (breakfast/brunch, snacks and appetizers, vegetarian, beef & pork, chicken & turkey, fish & seafood, vegetables/sides, desserts, and condiments). The only thing I didn't like was that it's for a very specific brand of air fryer (Instant Pot). While the recipes will likely work fine for similar oven-type air fryers, many won't work for the basket-type that I have. This was not apparent from the title.

I've never been a great cook. I tend to buy the latest cooking gadget in hopes that it will improve my skills. When I bought my air fryer, I knew I needed a cookbook specific to them. This one offers my absolute favorite dish, stuffed peppers. The recipe was easy to follow and included nutritional information. (This is great since I diet every now and again.)
The other recipes included in the cookbook range from the basic grilled cheese to the more exotic Bison Meatloaf Meatballs. This cookbook includes enough of a variety that even the most sensitive palates will be satisfied.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me an ARC of this cookbook.

Such a delicious cookbook! My only slight is I wish every recipe had a picture bc omg everything sounds so yummy! The recipes are super easy to follow with easy to access ingredients. The author explains how to use and clean your air fryer. If you are new to it so it’s terrific for a novice but I have a quite a few air fryer cookbooks and there’s recipes in here I haven’t seen. The pictures that are in the book (and honestly there’s a lot, I just want more lol) make me want to air fry everything!

There are so many fantastic sounding recipes that I can’t wait to try in this treat of a cookbook! I only wish there were more pictures as that’s what really draws me in to a cookbook.

I don’t own an Instant Brand Air Fryer Oven, but do own a Pampered Chef Deluxe Air Fryer sounds very similar with all the same functions right down to the rotisserie spit and dehydrate mode. I look forwards to testing some of these recipes out.

Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

This cookbook would be great for beginners who have never used an air fryer. The book starts with breaking down what the different settings mean and what things are good to have in the kitchen. Then it answers some common questions before getting into the recipes.
The recipe are divided into meal categories and the beginning of the recipe tells you if it's gluten free, dairy free, or vegan. Or if it can become that with changes. As some who has kids with allergies I really enjoyed that. I will definitely be trying some of these recipes

This book is a perfect rundown of how to cook with an air fryer! Like a lot of people, I wasn't sure exactly how to cook with my air fryer when I first got it. I wish I had had a handy guide like this rather than trawling through a million cooking blogs that always manage to bury the tutorial. Particular recipes of interest in my household are: Arancini, Sesame Soy Tofu Rice Bowls, Korean Style Short Ribs, Katsu, and Crispy Brussels Sprouts. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for practical advice to incorporating their air fryer into their cooking routine.

I have been wanting to use my air fryer more, so when I had the opportunity to see this book I got excited. The book has an introduction part which included cleaning tips and how to convert oven recipes, which I thought was great. When it comes to the recipes, I was left disappointed since not all of them include pictures. Some recipes do have many ingredients and I do tend to shy away from those; however, those are not the majority in this book. Overall, even though it does have a variety of recipes, it is not a book I will be using too much.

This is a great reference regardless of the brand of air fryer you have. The book includes helpful guides like what all the settings on the air fryer do and when to use them, essentials tools and pantry staples, tips, FAQs, dos and don’ts, air fryer care tips, and how to convert oven recipes. There is truly something for everyone in this cookbook from vegans to hard-core carnivores. The recipes are easy to follow and range from simple to challenging.

I had very few things that I would cook with our airfryer and still I mainly use it to just reheat things here and there. This opens up a whole new world of recipes to try with an airfryer and if you are like me and have a hard time figuring out the uses of an airfryer then pick up this book and get all you can out of your airfryer!
