French Conquests #2

The Billionaire's Temporary Governess

Rate this book
His past is here!

More beautiful than before.

And all William could do is welcome her into his home.

Stealing glances of the girl — now woman — whose heart he'd been forced to break had become his new routine. She's in his home working as his daughter's live-in tutor and killing it. She took over his home and the care of his daughter like it was second nature to her. And because they both loved Willa, they became adept at hiding the chemistry and resentment bubbling below the surface of their half-smiles.

Naisha constantly reprimanded herself for finding William even more attractive than he was as a younger man. He's a rich asshole who'd left a trail of broken hearts. Hers specifically.

Until summer, she was his daughter's governess and therefore his employee. And she would stay as far away from him as she could. But as the days and weeks pass by, she begins to respect the man he has become and second guess everything she'd once believed about him. She yearns for his fiery kisses and fierce protection.

He is a seductive mix of integrity, spontaneity and sex appeal.

William is a Comte and she's an ex-model-nobody hiding from an obsessive stalker. There's no way she can become his Comtesse. Right?

P.S. This is the second book in the French Conquest series. Though this book can be read as a stand alone, it is highly recommended that you read the first book (The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée) before embarking on this one.

I’m not going to lie, I hesitated reading William’s Story because I thought I knew everything there was to know about him. I was wrong!

Everybody—dead or alive has a story to tell—some more salacious than others, or painful—insert your own adjective.

The story picks up where it left off (in Book One featuring his brother Alex and Jacyn) when William and Naisha see each other for the first time in over 10 years, it’s not a happy occasion. Especially, when he finds out his young daughter has decided she wants Naisha as her new governess.

What Willa wants, Willa gets—though it’s not at a snap of her fingers, nor William’s. He just wants to bring happiness in her life after her mother left them. Naisha wants to start anew after experiencing a persistent ex-suitor who can’t seem let go.

Naisha is exactly who Willa needs in her life, and she becomes Willa’s second mother in Willa’s eyes. We get the backstory of William and Naisha and find out they were young lovers planning a future together that got derailed.

Trying to get past the past wasn’t easy for either of them, but Naisha can’t forget what it took to put herself back together. They both avoid the inevitable until a wicked dance on the dance floor becomes a night that neither can forget.

Can William forego the pain and secrets of the past to forge a new beginning with the only woman that has ever had his heart?

There is lots more to the story and this review doesn’t even touch the tip of the icebergs. It has everything that you want in Romance and more. I’d advise you to start with Book One because that’s where we learn William stole and married Alex’s girlfriend Sophia. Just remember—everybody has a story and there is always a villain and a hero.

Highly, highly Recommended: Read It!

The first book was good but this one was better! I loved Naisha and Liam’s story, it was so sad to see that their father was so evil to his own flesh and blood. I was happy William was able to overcome that self loath that was placed in him by evil people.
I liked the fact that the author brought awareness to how people are often stalked by others! Abe was mentally ill and that’s all I can say.
Sex scenes were actually described in this book and that was major points for me. All in all I’ll definitely recommend this book !

Family Affairs

Author Niomie Roland really knows how to concoct a dish of delicious intrigue. This book is the second installment of her French series. Appearing from the first book, Alex and Jacyn are
happy and pregnant. William is now a single parent trying to provide Willa with a stable environment. A part of that stability will come from selecting a capable governess. The candidate that appeals most to Willa just happens to be the love of William’s life, Naisha. Many years ago the pair were inseparable....that is, until William broke her heart. I love the tentative steps these two hurt people took toward reconciliation. The book was a wonderful continuation of the twisted story started in book one. I WAS not expecting the stalker storyline but it sure added to the excitement. The couple also had smoking chemistry!

A little better

In the title, I said a little better, but this one was a lot better. I am glad you let us read the whole letter. How can a father do what he did to his sons? He was a real sperm donor, twice. He was also a SOB. I love William. The way he felt about Willa was awesome. Both he and Alex. I am glad you didn't omit the racist part of the story. What his father tried to stop (him from marrying a negress), they both married a black woman. This was good. Now on to the next book.

🙌🙌

She got hurt by him as a teenager, he left her and married someone else without so much as an explanation. Their paths crossed again, and as fate would have it… she became his daughter temporary governess. Will old feelings resurfaced ? Will the hurt and sense of betrayal stopped Naisha to take a chance of rekindling what she and Liam ( Lim to her) had & lost over a decade ago!? Sometimes things are not really what they seem.
P.S My guess on the content of the letter was accurate!!! 🙌🙌
Love the series!

Naisha and William

I enjoyed this story. The fact that they were a couple 12 years prior made that much more sweeter. Their chemistry was still off the chain.

Williams horrible wife has died by the time this story starts and he gets to have the woman he loves.

I knew when I read Alex's story that the brothers decrased father was a loser, but he was worse than I thought, good thing he wasn't around to make this story hard to read.

Loved Liam

Absolutely loved this book! I loved that this book unearthed even more secrets. I was waiting for Liam and he didn’t disappoint. Naisha was the perfect match for him. They were pure fire together. Didn’t think Liam would get down like that! 😉 Total must read.

I couldn’t wait for book 2 and it was worth the wait. I enjoyed reading William and Naisha story. So glad the author didn’t make him the evil brother. Great book. Worth reading.

I knew it!

This family is so full of twists and turns. Manipulation from a close family member is so realistic. Maybe to to the extent of this story, but not unheard of... Will is a strong little girl..😊

Naisha and William

Another great book by Niomie Roland. The deception of William and Alex’s dad is finally out. The reader now knows that Willa isn’t William’s real daughter but the child of his father and Sofia’s affair. Their mom, Madeline, knew her husband was unfaithful and she didn’t seem surprised that it was with Sofia! Craig, Naisha’s ex, stalked her to France, killing one guard and wounding the other before high jacking her and Willa in the limo. He fires at Willa and Naisha jumps in the line of fire. Police kill Craig. After all that sad and devastating stuff, there is a Happily Ever After. Returning from a trip to Paris, Naisha’s parents, Toni, Alex and Jacin and others are there for the surprise wedding! William and Naisha have a little boy. One disconnect for me was about Sofia’s son with whoever. During the beginning Willa said he comes over twice a month but I don’t recall ever hearing about him again.

This was really good! I liked this one better than the previous one with Jacyn and Alex! Whew! The romance was off the charts! Anyway, I am glad that they (Liam and Naisha) got their HEA! And, all I can say about the brother's deceased father is that he was evil to the core! His controlling and hatred has surely led to his not being "missed" after his passing! Just saying!

Good

This was good. I liked the first one in the series better than the second. I loved William and Willa though. Naisha got on my nerves a lot, but she redeemed herself. Overall, still good.

So beautiful!

Oh God! There love was so beautiful but it was all shattered because of his father's cruel intentions. I never knew that a father could be so mean and hurtful.
