Loved

The Two of Us by Kennedy Fox
Absolutely loved this book! Enemies to lovers, brother's best friend, deadly pandemic...it had it all! Cami escapes to her family's cabin when NYC goes on lockdown. It's isolated and safe. What she doesn't expect is her brother's best friend to show up in the middle of the night. Eli needs a place to crash while everything is up in the air, but he didn't expect to get a stutue thrown at him when his best friend lets him stay at his family's cabin. These two are complete opposites! She's a rich socialite and he's a real estate agent. Cami and Eli love to torment each other and it just made the sexual tension that much better!!! Eli is such a great guy! He teaches her so many things that ends up saving her when she needs it most. This book was so well done. It deals with what we're all going through now, but the love story between them was definitely the focal point. This was my first Kennedy Fox book and it won't be the last. I couldn't put this book down! I'm excited to continue with this series with Cami's brother and her best friend!

Willow Winters is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This was a beautiful story of pain and wanting. It was such an emotional rollar coaster, I had to put it down a few times and come back to it. So much intensity and feelings that it left me breathless. Absolutely loved Daniel and Addison's story.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This book is EVERYTHING!!! Such a clever dark romance! Marcus Stone is no good. He works at a crematorium. That should of warned Rochelle that he isn’t your typical man. Rochelle meets Marcus on the worst day of her life, with a death in the family. He warned her about himself but she didn’t listen...Maybe she should of. This is one deliciously, dark and dangerous man and I’m all for it! Are you ready for this Twisted story? I don’t know if you are but it’s so worth it! I’m not saying anything else so you can discover this gem for yourself! Told in dual POV

❤The Two of Us:

Ladies, you have done it again!!! You put two of my favorite tropes in one book. You will fall in love with the characters and the banter of these two. I didn't want it to end, I have to wait for the next on in the series.
This story is so sweet and the characters have great chemistry. I could not put this down, I read it in one day. Eli is totally swoon worthy with all he does to show Cam how much he cares for her. The story happened during a really tough time with the pandemic makes it more relatable. If you like enemies to lovers, brother's best friend, or second chance you will enjoy this book. The secondary characters are just as sweet and cute, it will leave you wanting more. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

❤Just One Night:

I loved this book!! All these characters will make you fall in love with them... I am a sucker for a single dad romance!! But this story will tug on your hearstrings.
This has all the things you want from the characters... Love, hate, steam, banter... You get it all with Charity' writing..
This book will leave you wanting so much more of this world.

This review is for The Rival Roomies, the third book in the Rooftop Crew series centering around a group of friends in Upstate New York. In the first two books, Rian has an obvious unrequited crush on Dylan. When Dylan’s formal friend, now frenemy, Jax moves in with Rian, Dylan also moves in to “protect” her. Will Rian finally move on from Dylan and onto new bad boy Jax? And will Dylan finally realize what is right in front of him before it is too late? Great read and wonderful characters. I received an advanced reader copy of The Rival Roomies from the author for my honest review.

Found some really good ones in here

The two of us by Kennedy Fox
4 stars

In a time of chaos it’s nice to read a book that’s about it but without a full on anxiety attack about the events. Nice to read something happy coming out of the events and being believable that it actually happened

Possessive by willow winters
3.5 stars

I don’t really know how to write this review. My thoughts are disjointed. There are parts of the book that sucked me in but there are disjointed parts too. The back and forth and not a lot of info kept my c+c music factory moments running higher and higher. I would still read the next book just to see if I can piece it all together.

Just one night by charity Ferrell
4.5 stars

This is the first book I’ve read of this author. While I didn’t know it was the second book of a series, I read it as part of the Holding onto you anthology. I really hope the rest of the books are in KU as I’d like to see what happens before and after.

This will not be an easy book for some to read. I’m sure their will be haters on how some of it plays out, however I enjoyed how realistic the MC’s reactions to grief and life changes are.

Side hustle by Emily Goodwin
5 stars

I had no idea when I started this book that it was part of a series, so I should mention it is full of info and readable as a stand alone and it is fantastic!! This has got to be the best “ nanny” book I’ve read and had me feeling all the ways through the course of it. Would definitely read the series

I was excited for this book but it just didn’t grab me like others by this author have. It felt like a long time to get to the point but had a few unexpected plot twists that I did not see coming

Blame it on the pain by Ashley Jade
5 stars

This book is not at all what I expected. Covers all the elements, dark and twisty, sweet and sassy, thrilling and dangerous and is not your typical mob romance. Didn’t want to put it down and I will definitely look into more by this author

Shielding Gillian by Susan stoker

Well that was not what I expected. I was a bad girl and read some of the reviews before I started reading and it set an expectation, a negative one.

That being said I thought it was great. A Flipped survivor syndrome romance I guess you could call it. Definitely through me for a loop although I totally called #7 before it was even revealed that there was a #7. The only thing that got me were some parts felt long/slow moving. Solid 4.5 stars from me

Steal you by KD Robichaux and CC Munroe
3.5 stars

I truly don’t know how to rate or review this book.
It was all kinds of twisted and 50 shades of f’d up. Like a horrific train wreck that you can’t look away from, I just keep turning the pages needing to know what crazy thing comes next.

Breaking without you by Carrie Ann Ryan
3 stars

This author is a first time read for me and this book leaves me sitting on the fence. While it touched on some real life dark subjects I didn’t find the book in it’s entirety “dark “ per say but I feel like there was so much missing. Like watching a magic act , drop the tag line and distract and awe away from anything resembling the line until the end of the show and then you go home confused within questions, wondering how you got there and going over it to see what you missed

This is a truly incredible collection of reads. If you are a romance fan you can do yourself a major favor and snag a copy to treat yourself AND support a very important charity in the process. It's a win-win!! This is the perfect way to add to your collection by a favorite author and/or discover a new favorite. Either way you will not be disappointed.

Possession by Willow Winters (5 Stars)
This brilliantly written story takes love, lust, pain, guilt and grief and combines them into a hand that will reach into your chest to squeeze and twist your heart. This is Daniel and Addison's romance. In my opinion these two were destined for each other but sometimes fate likes to play tricks and so what was meant to be, had to take the hard road. The emotional turmoil in this book runs deep and you will feel so many things as you read it. From the start we know that these are two wounded people, drawn to each other, fighting their feelings, trying desperately to "do the right thing", only to suffer more damage along the way. Your heart will break for both of them (and Tyler to). If you love a book that is well written, offers characters that will move you, has a plot that will engage all your emotions and a story that will linger in your heart and mind long after the last page has been read, then this book is for you.

Escort by Skye Warren (5 Stars)
I really enjoyed this romance. Bea (Beatrix) and Hugo stole my heart! I adored both these wounded characters and I am so happy that they found one another. Theirs's is a story that is heavily based on pure emotion. There is a bit of drama and action that adds a touch of angst and excitement but truly this read is all about the heart. The chemistry was sizzling and the intimate scenes were steamy. I felt that there was so much sweetness and tenderness in this book. A beautiful, heartwarming romance.

Breaking Without You by Carrie Ann Ryan (5 Stars)
This wonderful read blends painful, realistic, powerful emotions and heart melting romance. Violet and Cameron' get there second chance at love in this book. There is some darkness to this book. It deals with the subject of suicide and all the emotional repercussions of it. My heart broke for Violet. She has really been out through the wringer emotionally. I also felt really bad for Cameron. He was a great guy, that did the right thing and has to live with that having hurt the people he cares about the most. If you love books that bring it all emotionally, you do not want to miss out on this book.

Blame It On the Pain by Ashley Jade - 4 stars

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book (given by the author)...

Well I have to say this book made feel ... everything. I have never swooned, been disgusted, shocked, terrified, happy and confused all at the same time before, but that's what happened with this book. Alyssa went through so much in her life and she didn't let it destroy her. Yes there were moments where she was destructive but she never let it completely consume her. The people she trusted most in her life had repeatedly let her down, but she went on and became stronger. Jackson also didn't have an ideal life either but he had his sister, Lilly, and his best friend. But the ultimate tragedy strikes Jackson and his life completely changes and he's forced to make a deal with the devil.

Will these two lost and broken souls be able to heal each other? Or will they finish destroying each other?

I loved this book from beginning to end, there was never a dull moment and always kept you guessing. I would love to know more about Lou-Lou and Ricardo, they definitely have a story worth reading.

Kisses and Lies by TL Smith - 4 stars

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by author)...

Well damn! I need a moment to process what the world just happened. I have no idea how to feel right now except that this book was crazy and I loved every minute of it. Hey when love story begins in a crematorium you can expect the unexpected.

I can’t say too much otherwise it could ruin the ride but Marcus and Rochelle were definitely a hot couple, a twisted couple, but hot. The spark between them instant even on one of the worst days of Rochelle’s life. It must be stated Marcus was a buttmole from day 1, but he did change for Rochelle over time.

The relationship between Tanika and Rochelle was beautiful yet bittersweet. I absolutely adored the sister bond between Rochelle and Kat.

Marcus’ life is death and Rochelle represents light, two complete opposites yet they balance other. Unfortunately, uncontrollable events and relationship send our couple into situation that has the potential to break them. They somewhat remind me of Death and Polly from the book Disbelief.

I loved this book even if it did shatter my heart most of the time. This book had tragedy, drugs, MC, loss and so much more and couldn’t wait to see what happens next.

I would have loved an epilogue to see how things progressed in the future. I can’t wait to see more about Kat and Blaze (because he was such an a** to Rochelle from the beginning with no reason) in Kisses and Warfare.

Possessive By Willow Winters

A forbidden desire, love, and longing. What would you do if the one you wanted was already claimed by another? What would you if the man you really belonged to was off limits? Two souls that were destined to be together but couldn't until one beautiful soul was lost.
Addison has finally moved on from the loss of Tyler. The man that loved her unconditionally and gave her everything she could ask for, except that her heart belonged to someone else. The death of Tyler was too much and she had to get away, leaving behind the one man she really wanted. Blaming herself for Tyler's death, Addison took a long time to get to a place where she finally felt somewhat whole again. That is until she runs into Daniel. The strength and confidence she felt quickly vanished and the guilt and sadness took its place. Addison was more angered that Daniel did not acknowledge her. Angered by this she's set her eyes on getting him to notice her and finally release what she's had building up inside her all these years.
Daniel couldn't believe his eyes. Addison? Of all the places he would run into her, he never thought it would be that night. Addison has haunted his dreams, his thoughts, his heart. She has always been his and now it is time to make it happen. So when he walks into the bar again it is no coincidence she is sitting there. It is no coincidence he sits next to her. It is no coincidence he acknowledges her. It is no coincidence it's the night that he claims her.
Addison is overwhelmed by Daniel, but that is nothing new. He has this power over her and now there is no one to stop them. Finally together, it's not the fear of what it can be, but their past that haunts their future. Can two soulmates finally find their forever? Will the past jeopardize their happily ever after?
I loved Daniel and Addison. The pain, weakness, fear, longing, need, lust, desire that they both had for one another poured off of the pages and consumed me. Willow Winters ability to make them so real captured me and held me a prisoner in their story. I found myself praying that the things they did was for the better good and in the end their pain and struggles would be worth it because they would finally find one another. Daniel and Addison have imprinted themselves in my soul and will be with for forever.

I love anthologies. You get to read stories by authors you know and love and also meet new authors. Those who know me, know that I am a huge fan of Willow Winters. I am putting the review of Possessive. Willow has shown me once again why she is my favorite author. Her books recently have been a little darker than her usual books, and that is one of the reasons you don't want to miss her books. This is her best book yet and is now my favorite. Addison and Daniel's story is beautifully told. Willow puts her emotions into her writing and she absolutely did with this story. Be prepared to cry and emotionally drained. Just make sure you have tissues nearby. This book will have you feel everything the characters feel and put you on an emotional rollercoaster and you will have hooked from the very beginning. I don't want to give any spoilers away, but I will tell you their path is destructive, obsessive, and addictive. It is told from both their pov and shows their past in flashbacks. Once lit, their chemistry is explosive and will burn everything in their path. Willow has a way of ripping your heart out and and putting it back together. This is a do not miss and I recommend reading it, you will not be sorry. As I read the other stories, I will try to remember to update my review. This anthology has great authors, great stories and will take you to other worlds.

Possessive by Willow Winters
Go and read this book now! Possessive is one of if not the best writing by Willow Winters to date. She keeps getting better and better with every book she writes. And this book is one that will grab hold of your emotions and squeeze them until there is almost nothing left to give. The roller coaster ride you go through while reading Daniel and Addison's story is one that you will need to be strapped in for so that you can handle all of the ups and downs and turn-arounds you are taken on while reading. SO be ready for this book, the epic love story that it is.

Steal You by K.D. Robichaux and CC Monroe
Congrats to KD Robichaux and CC Monroe for writing this crazy ride of a story called Steal You. They both did a wonderful job to seamlessly write Xander and Lizith's unconventional love story that makes you think everything that happened is completely normal. When in fact, events that happen to them are not normal but that is a testament to great writing, when you as the reader completely align yourself to the main characters and can agree with every decision made. Then add in the twists and turns they throw at us throughout the book, and this is one read that everyone will want in their hands. Well done!

What a fantastic line up of well known authors!!

But I have only read one book within this anthology so my review is purely based upon that.

💋Kisses & Lies by T.L Smith💋

First and foremost, this book is dark, and gritty, you need to know that!

No pretty flowers or candlelit moments. Just a cold harsh reality within a brokered deal between two consenting adults.

He's not the hero, nor the prince of the story. His life is death it's where his heart is true.

She's the girl who wanted more time, who's slowly fading into herself. Love and tenderness might bring her back, but he's not about that.

Two characters who to save each each, need to change and accept a new future.

I didnt love Marcus, nor Rochelle but I don't think we are meant to.

Their story isn't a fairytale and as such you arent meant to swoon and sigh happily over the characters, well that's my belief anyway.

I must admit I had hoped for something a little different at the end, but it didn't take my enjoyment away.

I can't speak for the other stories within this big chunky book, but for this story alone it's worth the money.

Review for Kisses and Lies by T.L. Smith:

WOW! This story is an intense, emotional and very turbulent love story. It played with my emotions and forced me to embrace the darkness of the characters. It's dark, twisted and emotionally heavy at times, but all around utterly phenomenal!

Rochelle is a good girl who is dealing with some painful events in her life. In order to deal with the pain, she has decided to welcome in the darkness of pain and death into her life. The perfect man to take her into the darkness steps into her world just when she needs him. Marcus is sexy, deviant and a bit twisted, but he’s just what Rochelle needs to forget the pain.

Marcus doesn’t want to ruin Rochelle or bring her down the rabbit hole of his life. He sees the good in her and wants to keep it that way. But like two very lost souls, Marcus and Rochelle are drawn to one another. She's the ying to his yang or the light to his dark. Their chemistry is undeniable and oozes off the pages. But are they truly meant to be together and fight their darkness together?

This story is heartachingly beautiful in all its dark moments. Highly recommend.

As I read each story I will add a review individually for them.

This is my review for Just One Night by Charity Ferrell 5⭐️: First, I’d like to apologize to the author for maybe sending her mad messages, but for anyone that has read it, can’t blame me.

Second, read this book. Growth and development not only happen in the story but with Charity Ferrell’s writing. It’s amazing to see her writing develop from book to book.

Willow and Dallas, damn their story is a definition of so many things. Some people don’t believe that we have multiple soulmates, but this story will make you a believer. Dallas you are officially initiated into my book boyfriend dungeon. Welcome. Make yourself at home because you’re not leaving Lol.

Single parent romances are my weakness. As a single mom I think I enjoy them more than others. These stories always give me hope. Hope to finding someone who will love me and my children with no qualms. This story did just that. Gave me so much hope. For love. For life. It was a truly enjoyable book.

Stock up on ice cream, chocolate, booze or whatever your comfort food and drinks are. You will need them.

Kisses and Lies by TL Smith
Living in Australia I love reading stories set here, especially in Queensland, with Australian characters and this one ticked all of those boxes.

Ah, the mysterious Marcus Stone! You are pulled in wanting to know more about Marcus simply because you don’t get told told much at all, little tiny tidbits that make you more and more intrigued. He is very dark, very intense and perfect to be the owner of a crematorium. Slowly, oh so slowly, his character profile is built up but even then it isn’t exactly a full folder.

Rochelle was such a despondent young woman who has lost people close to her but learns some hard life lessons through this loss. I liked her, how she stood up for herself when she needed to and pulled that inner strength out like a virtual sling shot. Yes, she was a tad dramatic but she was only in her mid-twenties too.

There is a lot of pain behind this story, explored in very serious issues yet done in such a way that, yes, while heartbreaking it seemed balanced with life. An extremely clever thing to balance when you think about it and must have been so complicated to write plus the reason for my extra half a star.

This is a fast paced story that honestly you will find hard to put down once you start, it is that good. I truly hope we get Blaze and Kat’s story as I can see it being a beauty!

Love Possessive by Willow Winters, It's Daniel and Addison's story and it's a complicated one but the old saying rings true...you can't help who you fall in love with!! Really enjoyed it, love the aura of danger around Daniel and his brothers!

Kisses and Lies by T.L. Smith had me gripped! There's an aura of darkness in Smith's book and this one relished in it. Marcus and Blaze are Dangerous with a capital D! And as for Rochelle, she's a level-headed, funa and cool lass but heartache happens and jees my heart broke for her! An excellent gripping and intriguing read.

Blame It On The Pain by Ashley Jade is wow! Alyssa's father was murdered right in front of her and her life spirals from there, my heart cried for her. Jackson is the hot MMA fighter who's on track to making it big, until he kills his best friend! (It was justified!) There lives end up intertwining and the twists and turns will have you on the edge of your seat! Loved it!!

Will update review as I read more.....

What a great collection and for such a good cause. I have only read Possessive by Willow Winters but am very much looking forward to reading more in this collection.

Possessive by Willow Winters
This book ripped though me. In a good way if that is possible. There are a few reasons that I found it so engaging. I am a little dark and twisty, so I like dark and twisty. Themes of longing, loss, missing, being missed, hurt, pain, healing, hope, and love are all things I have experienced and I felt on raw display in this book. Characters occasionally have that balance of being enough flawed to make them human forgivable and lovable without being so flawed that they become inhuman and unlikable or unreal. I am grateful for this story and think it should be read by anyone who has ever felt alone or scared or hopeless. I took my time with this book (a whole day that is) because I felt it. I met these characters and I didn’t want to rush through it but experience it.

Possessive - Review

"Possessive" is the beginning of "Merciless" series and it was amazing to read.

I love Willow Winters books because she is an easy author to read and her characters have always a dark side that calls you.

Daniel was one of my favorite brothers on Carter Ross story. His dark side is what I loved in this book and the way he claimed Addison since the beginning. It wasn't easy since his brother died and she disappeared.
After seeing her in six years his feelings are the same. She is his soul mate.

Addison was broken since the day Tyler Cross died six years ago. She couldn't stop running until the day she decided to settle her life. She was excited to start a new life, but she never thought she would see Daniel again. He is her soul mate.

I loved the way the two of them love each other. The author made a great story for them.

Y'all this is a wonderful book and please read "Merciless" series.

What a fantastic collection of stories by authors I love and some I’ve been eager to read. Anthologies, especially for charity, don’t get better than this.

I first read Possessive by Willow Winters 2 years ago and it remains a favourite standalone of hers. Daniel and Addison’s story pack a punch with raw emotion so much chemistry. The forbidden element in this story had me in my set my angst meter off- and, as with all things connected to the Cross Brothers, there’s danger and heart racing suspense.
Daniel is alpha-hotness but he has a dark side that adds to his allure. Addison is the kind of heroine I can relate to. She really comes into her own. Daniel is warring with himself but is emotionally closed off. It’s easy to see how easily he and Addison complete each other.

I can’t wait to read more stories in this collection.

5 STARS

What a wonderful Anthology and for such a worthy cause..

This review is for Possessive by Willow Winters

Heartwrenching....

This story took me by surprise with every emotion in my being. The turbulent journey that Daniel and Addison experience together is one that is not forgotten easily. From the moment Daniel meets Addison, he wants her all to himself, for her to be his and only his. He says this over and over in his mind, but the thoughts are never spoken out loud. Addison struggles with her own inner demons as well.

To see the two of them together is both heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. Willow weaves a passionate, intense and exquisite narration of two people trying to come together against all odds. I found myself flying through the story to see if Daniel and Addison would find a middle ground and have a HEA.

Always love to add anthologies to my library. Fun to re-read favorite stories and also discover new to me author's. Possesive is my favorite in this anthology.

My first story I read/listened to was Merciless. I enjoyed reading about Daniel and Addison. It helped to give a little more backstory to the Cross Brothers. There is just something special about the Cross Brothers and the format and style of her writing. I always look forward to the next story. Since I read this one awhile ago I am happy to say that I am current with her entire collection. I love the roller coaster ride of emotions. Thought I had written a review for this one when I originally read when it was released. She is a top favorite author on my go to list

This anthology consists of 11 authors who have written standalone novels. This is a fantastic way in which to support your favourite authors as well as new, as well as supporting a very important charity.
Review for Kisses & Lies by T.L. Smith
Marcus is a dark, broody, and mysterious character who owns a crematorium. Rochelle is broken and struggling through life, and she and Marcus are drawn to each other. No spoilers: this is a must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written tale which is an emotional roller coaster journey throughout, as well as being an intense and brilliant love story. I was hooked and intrigued throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend for all readers.

5 emotional, pain-shadowed stars for Possessive by Willow Winters!

You need to understand that a book's plot (or premise or story or whatever you want to call it) is not emotional, heart-stopping or raw; it might be as flat or boring as they come. Only the way it is told makes it shine with tears or happiness, makes you feel what the protagonists feel, makes you cheer for them or root for them, makes you love or hate what happens. If you read the plot and go "no, no, no, this shouldn't have happened!" you don't resent the author for telling a story you don't like, 'coz this is life - it doesn't go a certain way, it just happens.

You just take a deep bow to the author for the brilliant writing that makes you passionate abou

A great collection of so many good authors and great books. My only regret is that a couple of the books in this collection were part of a series. So, when I got done, and it prompted me to look at the series, I was disappointed to see it was, for example, Book 2 of a series. But, in almost every single case, I ordered the series associated with it for my Kindle. Two co-authors I had never read before. When I started the book, I almost skipped it, because it felt too disturbing almost. The heroine was almost psychotically in love with a married man. But, I read it and LOVED it. It all made so much sense as I got through the initial couple of chapters! Bravo to KD Robichaux and CC Monroe. I loved it. Another one that I questioned and got quite anxious for was by Susan Stoker and was a hostage/kidnapping type of a book. It quickly turned from that and I loved that one too. The other authors were all familiar to me and I enjoyed each of them. Great book and well worth the cost for my kindle, so I can read some of them again!

This is for Steal You! Wow! I didn't know what to expect when I started reading this book. It is a dark romance, and I haven't had much experience with this genre. Steal You was written by two authors, but as I was reading it, I couldn't tell who wrote what. These are two amazing authors who never disappoint me, and this story was like nothing that I have every read before. It is such a unique story that you can't put down, until you get to the end. This is a love story like no other. The main characters, are both crazy, but their crazy works so well together. Lizith and Xander are two dark souls, who are meant to be together. You will be routing for these characters to get their unconventional happily ever after.

Possessive - Willow Winters

I absolutely loved it. This type of story is totally up my street. It has passion, obsession, heart-break, angst, a little bit of second-chance love, a large dose of despair and loss, with a smidge of hope thrown in for good measure.

This book is a two-person narrative between Addison and Daniel with flash-backs that both push the narrative forward.

I would definitely recommend to any reader who enjoys bad-boys, intense relationships and an enduring love story.

This is a complete stand-alone story, although there are follow-up books in the Merciless series.
