My visit to Blissville was only supposed to last through four books. In the Curl Up and Dye Mysteries, I introduced a hairstylist too fabulous for his own good and a police detective who wasn’t quite sure what to do with him. It was loathing at first sight. Sparks ignited. Fur flew. When the dust settled, the most beautiful love story developed. They say that people come into our lives right when we need them most, and I know this is also true with book characters.

Josh Roman and Gabriel Wyatt gave me a reason to get out of bed while battling cancer. They became my best friends when I had to lock down my emotions to be strong for those around me. When I reached the end of the fourth book, I just wasn’t ready to let them go. I wanted to know more about the people they loved, so the Road to Blissville series was born. And because the two series overlap in places, it created some confusion for new readers.

The Welcome to Blissville collection combines both the Curl Up and Dye Mysteries and Road to Blissville series in a two-volume set. The books are placed in proper reading order, and each volume has a brand-new Josh and Gabe bonus scene.

I really didn't want this series to end because it took me through so many ups, downs, twists and turns I felt like I was on a roller coaster, the kind with loops and falls that never seems to end, but makes you feel so much. Blissville is now a place I can envision and somewhere I wouldn't mind living even if it is in Ohio... If only there were more inclusive places with neighbors who really do want the best for those around them, we would all benefit. Of course there are dark threats and dangerous themes woven through all of the tales, but each couple finds their own HEA, sometimes through the most heartbreaking circumstances and obstacles. Aimee Nicole Walker will forever be on my must read list because her characters are multi-dimensional and her situations are fully immersive.

I love the Curl Up and Dye and Blissville series, and I’m so happy to have all the books consolidated into two volumes in the correct order. Volume Two has six books with two short stories, one of the short stories which has never been published before.

The new bonus content, “Our Cup Runneth Over,” is a lovely and sweet story about the heartwarming moment Josh and Gabe adopt their kids. It was a beautiful scene and made me smile as I was reading it.

This was a re-read for me and I loved every minute of it. I adore the men in theses books. They are both characters and they have honor, emotions and love and they all run hot! It was so much fun to get to know them all!
