Five Nights at Freddy's fans won't want to miss this pulse-pounding collection of three novella-length tales that will keep even the bravest FNAF player up at night... Act in haste, repent at leisure... After losing his friend in a terrible accident, Edward can't spend his money fast enough on a happy companion guaranteed to keep his friend's memory alive. Mott quickly flushes his brother's creepy new pets, but the creatures have other plans. Eager to put her classmates in their place, homecoming queen Jessica doesn't stop to double-check her homework... reprogramming a defunct animatronic. In this tenth volume, Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon spins three sinister novella-length stories from different corners of his series' canon. Readers This collection of terrifying tales is enough to unsettle even the most hardened Five Nights at Freddy's fans.
Scott Cawthon is an American independent video game developer, animator, and writer, best known for his creation of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.
Scott, I have accepted that this series is full of child murder, but I am NOT okay with you making me fall in love with a cat and then killing it. I come to these books for the spooks, not tears. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go cuddle my own cats and make them promise to never ever go outside.

"Friendly Face", as the tenth book in the series, proves that the team behind it has been running out of ideas, which I believe has led to the conclusion of the series (while also kickstarting the new "Tales from the Pizzaplex" series.).
Friendly Face is the first story we are introduced to. The characters are nothing out of the ordinary. I really don't have much to say for this one. It was a nice, twisted read, one you'd expect from the series. Friendly Face is the best out of the book, undeniably.
Next is Sea Bonnies. Don't let the title confuse you; Sea Bonnies is, in my opinion, a retelling of an already used concept (In the Flesh, Room for One More) with similar characters. I was disappointed with this entry, considering the possibilities that could've been.
Finally, we have Together Forever. Quite possibly the worst in this book. Once again, we are delivered something used (The New Kid), with more annoying teen girls. The writing in this story was horrendous. I know that the authors were trying to characterize, but having them use "like" in every. Single. Sentence, is NOT a good way to go around it. The protagonists (were they even?) was downright unlikable. The entire story is just... dumb.
Overall, this... wasn't the best. If you're looking for a good Fazbear Frights, please go read Into the Pit, Fetch, The Cliffs, or Gumdrop Angel.
The stories themselves had fairly interesting premises but they fell short in the story. Feeling both too short and too long at the same time none of the stories of Friendly Face clicked with me like others on the series. Was it bad? No, not really. Like I mentioned all the stories had decent premises, I specifically enjoyed the title story for its story. It's not bad, but if you want a good Fazbear Frights, for me 1:35 AM is still the best one
Of the ten books in this series, this is the one I liked the absolute least. The first two stories were so strange and fell so flat for me, they didn’t even seem to be in the same UNIVERSE.
The third story however was the saving grace for the book. It fell right into the universe, was icky and spooky, and I actually really REAALLY liked it.
They've run out of ideas it seems? And with poor Andrea being the only author having to churn out 3 short stories about themes and plots that have been recycled already just seems so unfair! :/ But the Sea-Bonnies story was disgusting, so kudos.
This review is mostly going to be based off the first story, considering I skimmed the other 2 novellas. Friendly Face was a very eerie tale. Our protagonist's best friend and kitten were killed by a garbage truck. He tries to bring them back with the Fazbear Friendly Face program that reanimates fallen pets through their hair follicles. Edward accidentally pulls the human hair instead of the animal, creating a horrific animatronic that follows him everywhere. This was a great, creepy story. We need more cat-centric horror, in my opinion. All we have is Pet Sematary and he's named after Winston Churchill. Too many dumb dogs cornering the market. The other 2 short stories aren't worth mentioning. Friendly Face was a great entry in the Fazbear Frights series and I only have 2 volumes left to read. I'm excited to start the next collection which takes place in the Pizzaplex from Security Breach. Those plotlines are more relevant and actually tie into the games. Can't wait to see a Friendly Face right around the corner!
It genuinely feels like the team behind these novels sat in a room and said "what things can we do to REALLY traumatise our readers" then the quietest person in the room raised their hands and suggested these stories.
And besides the last story before the epilogue (which I'll get to), these stories were about nice kids.
Story 1, Friendly Face, follows a nerdy little boy named Edward and his best friend who have no one else in the world but each other until they find a little black kitten. Sadly, tragedy strikes and Edward loses both his friend and the cat. It's not explicitly said in the story, but it is implied that Edward has some form of autism, so he really struggles to comprehend his loss and so takes to heart an adver that suddenly airs on his TV for a new Fazbear Entertainment product called a Friendly Face. I won't go into too many spoilers because the impact of what happens in this story had me sat in my car for a good while just staring at my steering wheel as the audiobook played. This isn't a story about morals, this is a bad thing happening to a good kid.
The same can be said for the second story whose name escapes me. A boy named Mott is a really good kid; he helps his mother with his little brother a lot while their father is out of town, and is generally a nice kid. He's an excellent older brother, easily one of the best to exist in the series so far. But one day his little brother wins a new genetically engineered pet called a Sea Bonnie - sea monkeys that are designed to look like Bonnie the Rabbit. His brother loves them, but Mott gets a bad vibe from them... And once again I was sat in awed silence as that story came to it's conclusion. This one I'd label for body horror but I won't spoil why. Trigger warnings are important, but if you've made it 10 books into this series then you'll understand why I left it implied and not in spoiler territory.
The final story involves two bitchy high school girls who are excellent friends with each other, but are absolutely horrid to two junior high girls who suddenly start throwing out the status quo. I won't say these two deserved what they got, because the full extent was beyond too much, a scare would have been enough punishment. All I'll say is, this story involves a spring-lock suit with a compartment that holds people....
The epilogue was just a thousand lore drops in one and really connected all the other stories so far in a way that just felt extremely satisfying and leaves some major implications for where the series as a whole could be heading next.
This volume in general was pretty nice. The stories weren't innovative with plot or endings but were well written. I'm super happy that we got some new animatronics and the stories actually felt like they were happening in the fnaf world(unlike the previous volume).
First story - I really liked the animatronic and how it looked, I would love to see it revisited again. The sequence in the house was a nice nod to the game and was delivered very well. I was a bit disappointed by the ending because it's something we have already seen and expected. I would have made this story so much worse for the protagonist with this animatronic but I get it that the writers probably have to stick to certain rules while writing. Nevertheless I miss the element of surprise some of the previous stories had at the ending.
Second story - I absolutely love the animatronic here, the way it worked and looked was so unique! At one point I thought they will maybe go in a different direction with the plot but they chose a safer option, which was still pretty nice. No surprises here but the terror the character felt was palpable and it was so interesting to see someone who was so acutely aware of his situation.
Third story - once again a bit long introduction but it wasn't boring. There was nothing new about the way the new animatronic worked but when you think about the size it is a bit shocking. The ending was poetic . I really liked how the story ended for the protagonists it was something we knew but with a flair.
The after story slapped. I can't wait to get the next part!
There has always been the theme that negative, bully, greed, was in some way punish or it what attracted things to happen. But Friendly Face is just wrong. It's not a fnaf, there no animatronics. It just a horrible story about a good kid getting run over. (This is far to real, where as most of fnaf are set in the unlikely) Then on top of that, they mash the kid (Jack) and the cat (Faraday) into a horror monster to chase their surviving friend (Edward). The tatse level of this needs to be adressed. And just because you do a supernatural monster doesn't make it fnaf. Sea Bonnies at least had connection to fnaf. Starting at a Fazbear pizza place. I like the brotherly love between the Mott and Rory. Together Forever was really the only good one. If it wasn't for this story, I throw out the whole book. It had a connetion to fnaf, it felt like a fnaf story, and it was gruesome without being gory and gross. Honestly the last couple fnaf books have been let downs, I don't know if I want to keep reading these if there this horrible and have absolutely nothing to do with animatronics.
I really liked this one, but I agree it was the most disturbing. I didn’t care much for the 1st story with the friend’s face on the animatronic. That was just too creepy. But I the novella also made me feel the feels, which I always like.
The 2nd book was good too, and probably my favorite of the 3 (though not like it was amazing lol because it was still super weird).
As for the 3rd, the best part was at the end. I felt the majority of it was basic snooty high school girls with annoying underclassmen, but I definitely felt the FNAF aspects leak in at the end. So then it felt kinda weird that the actual FNAF stuff didn’t show up until that ending. But overall I still liked it, and enjoyed all 3.
Honestly found this one to be pretty boring. Again with the, "wow, we are going to order Fazbear merch and things will go wrong" but you know, no one finds issues with it.
Also the last one features the typical mean girls that is found in this series on the regular and honestly it's boring as heck now.
Also I feel like it is shifting away from the like theme of the original? At least in the past couple of books it feels like they're just running out of ideas and trying to do anything they can.
Friendly Face - A mini little creature feature story. Like the face idea. Decent end reveal.
Sea Bonnies - I loved the body horror this story ended up having. Factoring in the medical scenes was super smart. Lots of good imagery in this one.
Together Forever - My fave of the collection. The high school mean girls were so fun, and I loved anything they had to say. Their eventual fates were entertaining and grisly, and I just had a ball.
Digested this collection well.

This wasn't a bad volume (definitely an improvement on the previous one) but the series is unfortunately getting quite repetitive with the tropes. All stories in this volume had some interesting concepts and excellently phrased last lines that deliver the punch but at this point in the series no stories really get to me.
This is such a hard one bc I hate Friendly Face, but Sea Bonnies and Together Forever are peak. Friendly Face is horrifying and sad enough that it's still good even though I don't personally like it. So, 4 stars. Pretty much as good as this series gets. Aside from Coming Home, which I absolutely loved.
Fazbear Frights is collection of stories. Each book contains 3 short stories that are perfect for middle schoolers. Kind of like Goosebumps, but with FNaF characters. I absolutely intend to start each review with this "disclaimer". The amount of people that low rated these books simply because they failed to read the back covers is just astounding. Friendly Face is the story of Edward, who learns some things are better left alone. This story was very well written. It's got plenty of twists and a solid ending. I just wish Edward had realized the Friendly Face just wanted to do what it was created to do; be his friend and play. Sea Bonnies didn't seem to have a moral like most of the others. We meet Mott, who learns he had every reason to not like the Sea Bonnies. This one's predictable, but in a comforting way. There's been at least two other Frights that had this same plotline with different things. It was still a fun read imo. Together Forever... I can't read that title without hearing it like the last line in the MandoPony song Survive the Night lol. Anyway, can I just say the mixing of Millenial and Gen X slang is cringe-worthy. The story itself gives the reader little reason not to cheer for the fates of our "royal" main characters, Jessica and Brittany, who are taught a life changing lesson by Rosie Porkchop. In this chapter of Stinger, things are quickly reaching the climax for Detective Larson and Jake as they both figure out who's behind all the Frights and what their end game is. With just two more books left to the series, I'm really anxious to see how Stinger ends. I give this book 4 of 5 Paws.
So I've been on a bit of a hiatus from reading as I just had a baby back in December. I decided to jump back in with a series of short stories that I knew I would enjoy. Friendly Face definitely did not disappoint!
Each of these twisted tales grabbed my attention and kept it while being twisted and freaky in all the right ways. I think this novella collection may just be my favorite so far.
Friendly Face
A tale of a creepy animated pet with a human face that haunts a boy named Edward after the death of his best friend.
This one wasn't bad, but it wasn't one of my favorites either. Not too much creepiness compared to some of the other shorts but still an entertaining read.
Sea Bonnies
When a young boy wins a pack of Sea Bonnie eggs at Freddy's Pizzeria, he can't wait to get home and put them in his fish tank to hatch. His older brother however has a strange feeling the new sea Bonnies are out to get him.
This one got under my skin a bit. To avoid spoilers I won't go into detail but what ends up happening is definitely one of those situations that would terrify me in real life.
Together Forever
Two mean girls get more than they bargained for when they decide to reprogram an animatronic pig to terrorize two of their fellow classmates.
I actually really liked this one. It had some good gore, a great example of karma coming back around and a pretty twisted ending.
Five Nights at Freddy's: Fazbear Frights #10 - Friendly Face is a collection of three creepy and emotional stories . In "Friendly Face," Edward is heartbroken after losing his cat and uses experimental technology to bring her back—but it creates a terrifying, human-like creature instead. "Sea Bonnies" follows Mott, a boy who loves his tiny pet sea creatures, until they start acting in strange ways. Finally, in "Together Forever," Jessica dreams of having the perfect life, but things take a dark turn when a doll obsessed with helping her goes way too far. Each story combines real emotions like grief, curiosity, and the pressure to fit in with plenty of eerie twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
I’d recommend this book for ages 12 and up, especially for anyone who like creepy stories t. The stories are easy to follow, but they can get pretty dark a, so younger readers might find it a little intense. If you’re into Five Nights at Freddy's or just a fan, this book is a great choice.
Slowly coming to an end with the fazbear frights lore. Story one was a wild ride. I’m so glad that fazbear entertainment tries its best with excellent animatronic ideas and they still manage to go horrible wrong. Story two I get what the kid was trying for but seemed a bit to into himself which at that age is typical. I do kind of wish that it had a bit more in the ending over all a great read. Story three. Mean girls who botch things up for themselves. It’s a typical story and wasn’t the strongest but it worked well.
All in all I loved each story for different reasons. Final story Stitchwraith and detective Larson. This story you have to read in correct order. Larsons last book seemed more filler and stumbling around. This time man he isn’t having a good time at all! Plus call the extra call backs to previous stories loved it. Stitch wraith sorry my guy I know you wanted to help but uh um well try not to be to trusting next time. Onto the next story!
Friendly Face: Was probably the best one of this entire book as the build up to the monster was really well done as it focused on Edward dealing with the loss of friend and his pet and one mistakes lead to the monster the image it creates is a really good example of the Uncanny Valley. And it has a well done tragic ending. Sea Bonnies: This one was ok as it has some ok build up to an ok ending. The ideas I predicted were way more horrifying then what actually happens as I thought it would dive deeper into body horror territory but it does not go far enough so the ending seems a bit of a let down. Together Forever: Kind of boring, the ending is actually gruesome but it feels way to long and it was just ok and the characters are kind of boring. The set up feels like a rehash of a previous story as it has the a similar set up it was just a decent story.
Friendly Face: Weird, creepy, sad. Nothing new and not Scott's best, but still a decent read!
Sea Bonnies: I had a realllyyyy hard time imagining the sea bonnies. Fazbear Entertainment in these books is just WILD - fazgoo, sea bonnies, gumdrop people... Just go back to making animatronics, please! This story felt like a mash-up of In The Flesh and Gumdrop Angel. It wasn't too bad, and I like that we actually have a main character who TELLS people what is going on. It's just... Sea bonnies, man. I can't get behind that concept.
Together Forever: Definitely the best one in the book! Feels very in-universe with some main characters that I actually feel bad for. Harrowingly detailed.
The three stories each were about high schoolers getting corrupted by fazbear repeated occurrences, of course. I really liked the balance of school and social lives mixed in as well. Very refreshing. Even the cringe teen romance was kind of cute.
Anyways I just gotta saying THAT ENDING BLEW MY MIND! I loved all the called backs to previous stories (even if I can’t remember all of them and my books are away from me at the moment). It was AMAZING to see Larson seeing what happened to people across the series.
And the twist about (I’m assuming) Baby? HOLY SHIT THAT WAS COOL!
Can’t believe there’s only one book left. But I’ve enjoyed this series a ton. So thank you Scott and everyone who worked on the series.

Okay. This volume was much better than the previous book. The first story in this, Friendly Face, was very disturbing, but ended up like one of the previous short stories so nothing unexpected.
The second story, Sea Bonnies, was also disturbing but in a cool way much like In the Flesh from the Bunny Call volume.
I also liked the final story, Together Forever, because they reintroduced the spring lock mechanics and give you that terrible experience up close and personal.
The detective story rebounded with all the awesomeness of good Stephen King. Teleporting through visions? Two heroes brought together by the true villain revealed? That's good sh*t right there.
this one brought the series back for me. I swore if the first story was bad, I was going to skip on reading the rest of them, but this was a good book.
friendly face- I am really loving these creepy side projects from the Fazbear company, such as the pizza kit. so the “friendly face” product was a cool concept to me. the story had some pet semetary vibes to it, I really enjoyed it.
sea Bonnies- just another story where you can’t get too attached to people, lol. the older brother in this story went above and beyond at being a good older brother to his younger sibling and yet here he is facing death. just wild.
together forever- okay this one had justice being served. i loved the fate the two spoiled brats received and the amount of gore was good. I also loved meeting a new animatronic!
