Ay, por qué no existen más manhwas así, con amores entre chicas absolutamente wholesomes y que te hacen recuperar la fe en la humanidad... After the Curtain Call es justo lo que necesitaba para terminar mis vacaciones feliz, no puedo dejar de recomendarlo; la historia es un slow burn que habla sobre el mundo del teatro en Corea de forma muy interesante, con unos dibujos preciosos. Qué más se puede querer en la vida? Léanlo.

Healthy cute relationship. They don't rush with their relationship and the author doesn't fetishize women loving women! I love the protagonists. They are very talented and pretty. An easy 10/10.

Soyoung es arrastrada por su mejor amiga al teatro luego de que su actor favorito decidiera dedicarse únicamente a la televisión, al ser una nerd del teatro esta es una noticia devastadora para ella, sin esperanza en esta obra debido a ser en un teatro pequeño y con actores poco conocidos, pero eso cambia en cuanto ve la actuación de Jaeyi rápidamente vuelve su pasión por este mundo y decide continuar viendo las actuaciones y convertirla en su nueva actriz favorita.
Jaeyi es una actriz poco conocida debido a sus pequeños papeles en el teatro, se sorprende al descubrir a su nueva fan quien ve su obra todos los días, esto le provoca esperanzas cuando estaba a punto de rendirse en el teatro debido al poco sueldo y la esperanza de triunfar.
La constancia de Soyoung hace que se vuelvan cercanas, para Soyoung es únicamente una relación de fan y actor, pero para Jaeyi es el pie a la esperanza, tanto en el teatro como en la vida amorosa.
Conforme avanza la historia podremos observar el día a día de ambas protagonistas, junto a fragmentos del pasado de Jaeyi, en donde nos revelan el miedo las relaciones debido a un acontecimiento con su pasada mejor amiga, la cual se vuelve a encontrar en una obra que es el pie a su crecimiento como actriz y en el inicio de su nueva relación.
Opinión personal:
Es una historia muy linda, de verdad te hace sentir cosquilleos, la relación que se forma en ambas protagonista me encanto, considero que es una relación bastante sana y madura, muy acorde a la edad que tiene ambas. Y en general sus personalidades por si solas me encantaron, Soyoung es todo lo que alguna vez debemos merecer, es una green flag con piernas, la ame demasiado, y Jaeyi me genero demasiada fe, es un personaje bastante fuerte y apasionado.
Le daría 5, estrellas salvo porque sentí que faltaron temas a indagar, como el arrepentimiento de la mejor amiga, que ahora no recuerdo su nombre, pero me gustaría verla arrepentirse por lo que paso, porque realmente su actitud fue demasiado ¿estúpido?, no tengo una palabra exacta para describir su personalidad y actitudes. En general es una historia muy buena, que llena tu corazón de mucha esperanza y amor.

This is exactly what I needed. Some wholesomeness and cuteness! This one I had seen around but was not in my tbr, but I was just looking for something sweet to warm my heart and this just did that! I loved it so much, they're so cute and it was so much fun. And it was funny and I loved how healthy and organic their relationship is! Trust and communication for the win!

Mi webtoon GL favorito, la relación entre ambas fue bellísima, con comunicación, hablaban claramente de sus sentimientos y no hubo miedo de aceptarse la una a la otra ✨. Es un romance que nace de una actriz de teatro y una fan de teatro musical, adoro que tomen esa temática como la fan de teatro que soy... aunque Sooyoung me gana definitivamente JSJAJ. Cálido, cute y de crecimiento personal más que todo. Lo que necesitaba leer sin siquiera saberlo ❤️

5 stars. This was my before bed read hence why it took me so long to read. I already want to read it again. It's beautifully illustrated with lovable characters and a healthy slow burn romance. It also focuses on the theater and I'm all about that. This had everything I love and it's such a happy and cozy read that I would highly recommend. It's just pure joy and I can't wait to read all over again.

Si pudiera resumir todo, diría que este manhwa es lindo y esponjoso. Lo recomendaría si se quiere pasar un buen rato con algo sencillo, sin tanto rollo y de pocos capítulos que puedan leerse en un santiamén.
No obstante, si no te importa leer spoiler, continuaré más abajo con algunos puntos que me gustaría tocar con mayor profundidad.
ALERTA SPOILER DESDE AQUÍ
Trama. Posee una trama bastante simple y fácil de digerir como la mayoría de los manhwa que he leído; lo mismo sucede con la subtrama que hay presente. Sin embargo, es en su simpleza donde yace lo bonito de esta historia porque se cuenta por sí sola. La artista plasma de manera implícita, pero no tan implícita, algunos problemas que suceden en la sociedad coreana con respecto a los obstáculos de las actrices o las mujeres en general (si entrecierras los ojos puedes notarlo); cosa que no se ve muy seguido, pero es algo que está tomando fuerza, ya saben, eso de hacer más visible por lo que pasan las féminas y algunas veces hasta criticarlo (un ejemplo de lo que planteo, lo tenemos en el manhwa: “La belleza de Gangnam”).
Además, la artista no se rebusca mucho para hacer ver su punto y no aplica la vieja confiable de la toxicidad que vemos muy presente en este género o en el BL. No encontrarse con algo más de lo mismo es un pequeño soplo de aire fresco.
Personajes. Los personajes son carismáticos. Incluso el personaje que menos te gusta posee vestigios de humanidad y no son una parodia burda, lo cual te impide odiarlo por completo. No obstante, me hubiera gustado ver un desarrollo más profundo de personajes como Hwang Hyesun o la directora de la Compañía de Teatro Blank. Por otro lado, Park Soyoung es bastante interesante, no es la típica protagonista que por mucha edad que tenga sigue teniendo el mismo estereotipo de fémina ingenua, definición de la “pureza”, virginal pudorosa hasta los dientes, etc., de hecho, sabe lo que quiere y cuando lo quiere, no teme en ser quien tome algunas iniciativas en la relación que tiene con Jang Jaeyi, quien es otro personaje bastante bien definido.
Personalmente, me gustaron mucho Jang Jaeyi y el gerente de la empresa donde trabaja Soyoung (sí, lo sé, pero el tipo me hizo gracia por lo tsundere que es, sobre todo al final de la historia, su reacción ante la renuncia de Soyoung, me sacó carcajadas; cosa muy diferente a otros gerentes en otros manhwa donde sólo me dan ganas de golpearlos).
Ilustración y diseño. El dibujo es agradable a la vista, los diseños anatómicos poseen buenos trazos y las facciones son bastante precisas. Sin embargo, aunque algunas cosas son estéticamente agradables, otras no tanto; por ejemplo, algunos escenarios tienen menos definición que otros, pero es algo que poseen muchos manhwas y creo a estas alturas que vendría siendo su propio sello. Algo que los define fuera del manga y del manhua (cada uno posee características muy propias y muy únicas).
Conclusión. En términos generales, sí, me gustó mucho este manhwa. No obstante, no le doy cinco estrellas porque siento que faltaron ajustar ciertos detalles, más con respecto al desarrollo de algunos personajes que otra cosa. Si soy sincera, al final no sentí que la historia tuviera una conclusión, más bien sentí que faltaba algo y no me cuadraba del todo. Por otro lado, me gustó mucho saber un poco más sobre el mundillo del teatro en Corea del Sur y como aficionada al teatro, encuentro bastante interesante cuan diferente puede llegar a ser (en algunos aspectos) un mismo mundo en diferentes países (por ejemplo, la cuestión de la compra de las entradas, la existencia de Daehak-ro, el horario justo de las funciones y no poder salir en plena función porque te quedas por fuera o no entrar después del inicio de ésta).
Si alguien busca pasar un buen momento y quiere tener una buena dosis color rosa, aunque no tan rosa, pero sin rebuscarle la quinta pata al gato, si no se quiere leer tramas exageradas tipo Rosa de Guadalupe o no se busca hallarse con más de lo mismo en relaciones tóxicas, este manhwa es para ti.

Omg this was so cuteeee! I'm usually not into the celebrity x normal person trope because it's always so messy and angsty, but this was not the case!
I thought Jaeyi was an idol, but that's not the case. She's a theater actress, and Soyoung stumbles by her by accident. With her favorite musical actor moving to tv dramas and movies, Soyoung no longer has a hobby. Because being a fan was her other full-time job. Just like an idol fansite, Soyoung never missed a performance and she took professional pictures of her idol, posting them online. But now he seems to be out of her reach and she feels devasted. Enter Jaeyi. Soyoung's friend has free tickets to her show, so they decide to go together. Soyoung takes one look at Jaeyi and that's enough to make her a fan. That's when our story begins.
Jaeyi likes girls and as readers we can see the moment she starts seeing Soyoung different. At first she's so grateful to have a fan, but with time she warms up to her and starts considering her a friend, developing a crush after that but trying so hard not to show it because of bad past experiences.
Soyoung is a different case. From the start Soyoung sees Jaeyi as a celebrity. She's pretty aware of her limits as a fan, which is why she struggles to think of her relationship with Jaeyi as a friendship. She can't fanthom being her idol's friend, that breaks all the rules! (Even after going on two dates with Jaeyi lol).
But Soyoung's constant gay panic was so hilarious to see. It was angsty or something like that. It was more like, painfully obvious that she had a crush on Jaeyi but because of what it meant to her to be a fan, she couldn't see things for what they were. She confused her romantic feelings for those of admiration that we usually get with the idols we stan. That's what was hilarious. Her obliviousness to the clear signs of both Jaeyi liking her, and Soyoung herself reciprocating her feelings.
But what I loved the most was, once she comes to the realization that was she feels for Jaeyi is romantic, there's never a doubting or crisis phase. She acknowledges her feelings and tells Jaeyi she likes her, just like that. It was so beautiful and refreshing to see! They had a bit of miscommunication here and there before it. Like I said, Jaeyi was afraid she was misreading Soyoung's intentions. When she was in highschool her best friend acted like they were girlfriends but suddenly got with a guy, which left her wary of "straight" girls who get too close to her. But Soyoung is quick to reassure her that what she's feeling for Jaeyi, she's never felt with anyone before. That's exactly what Jaeyi needed to let her feelings run free. Their confession scene was absolutely adorable!
I did have some issues, which are the reasons this didn't get 5 stars. Like Jaeyi's old high school friend, who didn't seem to have a clear purpose in the story besides as Jaeyi's backstory. Yes, Soyoung jealousy scenes were great an all, but I would've liked it better if Jaeyi got clousure, or at least the chance to yell at her face honestly.
Also even though the pacing was perfect and I never felt bored, I wish we would've gotten more chapters of them being together. They're so cute as a couple, always being there and supporting each other. Especially my girl Soyoung. She was THE BEST stan in the world, always doing whatever it took to help Jaeyi accomplish her goals. That's why I wanted more. The story had a good ending, but their romantic arc was too short! A few extras would've make it so much better in my opinion.
Overall this was a great manhwa between books. I spent all afternoon giggling at my phone because of these two, how can it get better than that?

Interesting plot. Wholesome. It was too short though.
