I really enjoyed the previous book, but I had a few issues with this one. The plan to get information before returning home seemed a bit ‘dodgy’ right from the start, but the further it went the more unbelievably stupid it became. It would have helped if there had been contingency plans, maybe if one of them had been an experienced military officer or perhaps a spymaster they may have thought about possible consequences and negating them!!!!!!!!
There was some excitement in the second half of the book as Lazarus tried to rectify his idiocy and there were better signs by the end of the book. If possible I would have given 2.5 stars.
This book went fast. It seemed short but it was really mostly just a fast paced story. The whole story encompasses the first adventure of Team Lazarus in human space. New friends are made, new enemies defeated and we see a side to Lazarus that was only hinted at before. Quick but satisfying.
