Loved this book! For anyone who has an at home word of mouth biz needs to listen to this. There were some things I wouldn’t incorporate, but a lot that I would!

Nothing New Under The Sun
A lot of the information in this book is really a repackaging of a lot of other books about succeeding in multi level marketing in the digital age. And the author Michelle basically is using this book as a platform to sell her brand of doing multi level marketing HER way.
I am not into multi level marketing (MLM) myself at all. I actually read this book to get a feel for how the language of MLMs are used in our internet age for a project I am working on. I needed a few good examples of the current literature that MLMs may tap into for my research.
I have to add that it is extremely rare for people to succeed at MLMs the way Michelle has and that she is likely getting a lot of her wealth by getting people to pay for her "coaching" advice. A lot of the truly useful skills can be learned by joining a local Toastmasters or taking college level public speaking or debate class. And if self esteem or developing relationships are issues therapy can go a long way. But with the kinds of businesses she is trying to get people to train for give very few people any amount of profit.
With that being said, this is a really quick read and I found the summaries at the end very helpful for the references I may need to have. Also some of the stuff that she has about how to treat potential customers does have good tips on persistence for people who may work in sales and reminders on how to treat people if you want them to come back....but I have read a lot of these things before. There is nothing new under the sun.

Her story was really relatable, but the info wasn’t anything new. Good for a new consultant, specific to makeup/beauty niche. Some info felt outdated for heavily social media driven businesses who never worked in the old school home party model. Quick read with inspirational moments.

Michelle Cunningham has created a life for herself by using the skills that she learned to be profitable in the direct sales industry. This book is a guide for anyone that is struggling with getting their business off the ground and running. Many of the ideas she offers can be used in just about any direct sales or any type of sales job. Well written and full of advice for those that want to take their business to the next level.
For myself, I found the book to be the same information that I have been given over the multiple years that I have sold for direct sales. Many of her ideas seem to fit companies like Mary Kay and other make up or skin care companies than other direct sales companies, but you could use her ideas to create your own plan and ideas to do something similar to what she promotes in this book.
She writes about how to create a consistent customer base, how to find customers, how to find referrals from customers, and how to sell to those customers. She talks about the struggles that she endured in her early years and how those struggles have led to her success. I believe the advice she gives is tried and true and will lead most sellers to success.

This is a cute book, quick read. After being in direct sales for 15 years I could really relate and there are lots of things I do! It wasn’t a 5 star for me because she talked about selling measuring cups and how consumable products are better :( well I sell measuring cups…and bring families together around the table and although it’s not consumable I have a great product people want more of. So it felt one sided, great for anyone who sells Mary Kay, although she never mentioned that everything is pink, you get a car and it’s clearly make up. Still I found some good tips. And I like her on YouTube

An entertaining and informative read! I really enjoyed the parts about different approaches to keeping yourself motivated to sell whatever it is your selling! It's not just a book about network marketing, it's a great book for any industry that needs to interact with people in any capacity! And sell!
I see some things I will be able to integrate into my own sales funnels, for sure.
Michelle's energy throughout the whole book is contagious! She's so fun, bubbly, and a go-getter! I adore her and learned a lot about her along the way too.

Michelle is an incredible unicorn. I love how she shares her simple steps in such a personable and effective way. She so freely plans out the step-by-step way she overcomes each new step on the ladder of success as she advances through her business. If you're in network marketing, you'll read this over and over to find out just how you can adapt her methods to your particular business. It's a great plan, if you work it.

Well, she’s not a writer. I suppose the book served its purpose in telling her story on how she “made it” in network marketing and she gives some good tips and resources. But the book didn’t seem particularly insightful, inspiring or interesting. So, if you’re really trying to be accomplished in the network marketing arena, then I’d recommend this book. Otherwise, it’s just meh.

Honestly I read this in one sitting, and genuinely felt like it was repackaged. Meaning like multiple books other authors written and put into hers. Her story in general is inspiring on the personal front, but a lot of this feels like I have seen this before in other books. It's well written. Just feel like I have seen this before.

Fascination information that I found very helpful. I am very much an introvert. Her techniques for approaching at networking events and using email and text are mind-blowing. As I venture back out into this arena, I will be using her tested techniques. Thank you, Michelle for sharing this!

April 26, 2024I love her enthusiasm and relatibility. My direct selling company doesn't hold many home party's which seems to have especially changed after Covid. Learning how to master the online party environment would be an additional benefit.

A quick and fun read. I feel that it really does strongly relate to network marketing (as the name implies) and the strategies within are more for that niche, than strategies that could be applied to other kinds of marketing.
